We have fork tail catfish that grow big but nowhere as big as these ones and we have eel tail catfish they only get about 50cm big max, maybe a bit bigger but not huge.
The eel tails are edible but the fork tails are not so good.
@tim7neal Another good way (if you want a healthier way to cook fish) is to wrap them in tinfoil and grill them or use an indoor grill too. The steam in it cooks the meat great, its how I do almost all fish.
you don't have to worry about venomous snakes

we have catfish over here but they have huge spikes on their head and one on either side, you wouldn't hug em like these ones.
