  • The workout this guy is talking about will build functional strength and a natural looking physique over a longer period of time. Most people do not have the patience for this so will go to the gym to build mass that has little function in our daily lives.

  • Yup. Most people at school wonder how i got big without going to the gym... i tell them that they dont need to go to the gym. All you need is a backpack, yourself, a pullup bar, two chairs, maybe some weights for squats and shit... but the main thingi s nutrition.

  • This is fucking ridiculous. It's true that you can make SOME exercises with your body weight (that's called calisthenics), but if you don't use weights you miss a lot of BASIC exercises. So yes.... you NEED to go to a gym, or buy weights and use them at home.

    Handstand pushups, pull-ups, weighted push-ups & bodyweight rows.

    Test your maximum amount of reps on each exercise with good form. Half that number and do 3 sets of that with 60 sec rest in between each set, You will overload your muscles by 50% and that will stimulate growth. Re-test your max evry 3/w.

    FUCK the gym cause most of their machines work in a set path and do not work the bodies stabilizer muscles and can cause instability in joints.

I alternate run and walk an hour a day in my neighborhood park... as soon as I will have done enough cardio to bring myself down to somwhere in between 180 and 190 I already spotted my local park a long time ago for multiple stuff, and @ 6am, nobody sees or even care... so... yeah...

  • Yeh 6 meals a day is the best for you as the body isnt designed to digest bulk amounts. But its not practical to eat like that. You cant break out the munchies at work.

  • I did 1000s of press ups at karate class it never made my chest big. Only strictly pressing 24kg dumb bells made my chest bigger.

  • yes. ur body cant tell if ur liftin weights or ur own body. ur muscles dont grow while working out. it grows wen u rest. ur muscles do appear bigger wen u workout and that's because blood is rushing to the area which makes it appear larger.

  • For the most part. But the key is 'surprising' the body. Consecutive workouts with no rest can be a temporary measure to stimulate more growth. In general though, the naturally load bearing muscles (the ones you use daily just to live) (abs, calves) require less rest than those that are recruited rarely to do difficult work. Your aims and objectives are also factors. Generally more frequent workouts usually lead to slower, leaner growth. I wouldn't advise working out more than 4 days a week.

    These are best for STRENGTH!

    Also, kettlebells are very good. Gym is not needed.

  • If only you lived near me. Working out is fun, but you would make it 10x more fun. I need to be more serious about fitness. I work out at my school's gym about every 3-4 days, but it just doesnt seem enough. You would make an excelent fitness or gym instructor.

    I wake up to annoying alarm, 25 push ups, go downstairs, eat snack, 25 push ups, go up brush my teeth, shave, 25push ups, shower, change, 25push ups.

    Thats 100 push ups, not too much effort, and I just started my day.

    Even a little game on my comp., I do a little 10-15 mins game, 25 push ups, and keep doing till i dont feel my arms.

    Everyone can do this anytime. I recommend it!

  • try to eat 6-8 meals a day and consume 2 times as much as you normally would. start to lift weights, stay away from cardio and eat alot of protein.
