I totally agree with your points. Obama did expand militarism and the patriot act, bailed out banks, and continued to operate black sites and Guantanamo. But I disagree that Obama is totally responsible for all of this. When his first defense secretary, Robert Gates, proposed cuts in the defense budget he was picked apart by senate Republicans and discredited the cuts. Similar consequences occurred when Obama proposed regulations for the banking and housing industries.
@thedefenceman No one person is responsible for everything of course, but Obama is most certainly complicit, and that's good enough for me to not support a dishonest man. Besides, Obama's idea of cutting from the defense budget is $400 billion in TWELVE years (we're in debt 1.5 trillion), not to mention that's most likely from proposed increases. And to top it all off, he only had the courage to propose such a "bold" plan when it was politically expedient to do so. Obama FAILS.

The Republican and Democrat labels are obsolete. Not the Obama promised but the Obama delivered proved they're one and the same. Let's meet in the middle and take back America.
I am a conserative and not a Republican, but I registered as a Republican so that I could vote for Ron Paul. He is a great man and a true defender of individual liberty. He is a true conservative, not a neocon statist traitor to American sovereignty. The others are nothing more than puppets of the globalists.
If the republican Nominee (isn't Ron Paul, and ) becomes a mouthpiece for Paul's principles, it will be nothing more then an attempt to pander to a rising political force. Just as Obama promised one set of values and delivered another, so too will any mainstream Republican. We have no choice in our current political system; if we vote for mainstream candidates, we will end up if the same predictable disappointment and betrayal.
I also want to point out that if Ron does win Iowa, he'll have to be considered a contender and will of course win his home state of Texas and the liberal leaning state of California.
This means in the presidential race after he's picked he'll have a guaranteed delegate count of at least 178 out the gate.
It's gonna feel so good when we win. /watch?v=Xtl2ZuJpG9M
Much love for those supporting Ron Paul...Together we can change the course of history...and really...for the second time....the first time was in 1776!!!!!!
Welcome aboard! Ron Paul is the modern day embodiment of Jefferson and Madison. I'm not supporting any party who considers "liberty" and the "Bill of Rights" radical concepts. If Paul doesn't get the GOP nomination in 2012, I'm voting 3rd party.
Smart switch my friend! Ron Paul is the man we need in the white house to fix this country. Ron Paul is steadily rising in the polls and NEVER lies and never flip-flops.
Herman and Paul are my favorites, Herman mainly because he comes from the private sector, Paul because he has shown he has been loyal to his principles.
Just remember in November, 2012: Perry, Romney, Gingrich, or whoever is the Republican nominee will be 1000x closer to Ron Paul than Barack Obama. Ron Paul (probably) won't win the nomination, that's not his goal. Ron Paul will win when in order to get elected one of the other Republicans will pick up his banner of sound money and limited government and take it across the finish line.
@wunderbeast Any candidate the GOP nominates will embrace limited government. Romney and Cain I would not expect to go after the Fed in any meaningful way, but Gingrich or Perry would definitely stop the printing presses.
@buckeyemike81 None of the others has enough credibility to carry the banner of sound money and limited government and be expected to follow through, though. So I think as more people look at the voting record, they'll see that Ron Paul is the only one that is saying what he actually wants to do to change the system, the others are just saying what's popular at the time to fool voters.
@jacoblindenmuth The point is that in the event Ron Paul isn't the nominee, it's critical that his supporters do support Romney/Gingrich/whoever because Obama is the opposite of Ron Paul. You can get 70-80% or you have have 0% of what Ron Paul supports.
Frankly, I'd like to see Ron Paul appointed as (the last) Fed Chairman instead of elected president anyways.
@buckeyemike81 I just can't trust anyone else running to give us that 70-80% given their backgrounds. I think Paul has a strong chance to win the nomination because he's the only one without baggage. Even if he didn't win the Rep nom, I'd still write him in anyway, though I think chances are good he'd run as third party. I have a feeling 2012 is going to be an interesting election year.
@jacoblindenmuth Ok, if you do that just know you are giving a half vote to Obama. If you think Obama's policies are great then that's a fantastic plan.
How many liberals in 2000 voted for Ralph Nader and will regret that for the rest of their lives?
@buckeyemike81 Liberal/Conservative, Dem/Rep doesn't matter at all. Obama, Romney, Cain, and the rest of them are Statists funded by corporate interests. Ron Paul's campaign funds come from his supporters. That is all you need to know to make your choice. Even if I completely disagreed with all of Paul's positions, he is the only one that wants to do what he believes is best for the People, not corporate donors who pay $50,000 to go to a campaign "dinner"
@buckeyemike81 LOL have you seen the new flip flop video of Romney and Gingrich? Believe me, they'll merely say anything that is politically palatable at the time. They could care less about doing anything with the Federal Reserve.
@wunderbeast If Romney or Gingrich just enact Ron Paul's ideas to get elected and keep their electorate happy, what's the problem? The ideas get implemented, so it doesn't matter who does it or why they did it. If they get in there and become liberals, then it's our duty to elect a libertarian congress to stop them until the next presidential election. We did pretty well in 2010 doing this.
@Theobrothers Ron Paul has no chance in winning, so either he's delusional to continue his campaign (which I don't think is the case) or he is pushing his ideas over himself which are catching on with politicians that can win. Ron Paul is a cult leader to too many people. Who cares if he wins or not if his ideas carry on with someone else? The goal is to end the Fed yes? Electing Ron Paul is only a means to that end, and there are others that can carry it over the finish line.
@Theobrothers Ron Paul's supporters are very enthusiastic and so any poll that's not scientific they will do very well in. When the rubber hits the road and Joe Average goes out to vote, Ron Paul will get 5-15% of the vote. This doesn't mean his ideas aren't great, it's just the reality.
The better question is, if Ron Paul's ideas win, but he doesn't is that a problem? I would think that the most important thing are the ideas, and I think on that front he is winning.
1. What "scientific" polls is he losing in, and the others winning in. Please cite ALL the companies which you consider to do these.
2. How could you possibly know the percentage a candidate would get across the entire US. LoL, you really don't realize how asinine that is to say? Opinion != Reality
Again, cite your bullshit.
3. What would lead you to think his overall ideas would "win" that another candidate would actually implement them?
@Theobrothers 1. Here's the RCP average of polls, Ron Paul is at 8% bit{dot}ly/hB1z4U
2. History and polling
3. Auditing the Fed, stopping the creating of money out of nothing, spending reductions, tax reductions, etc.
Ron Paul has clearly moved the debate. It's sad that his supporters are so tied to Ron Paul the man instead of his ideas. It turns an otherwise noble campaign that could lead to serious changes into a cult.
Don't attack random people on the internet to protect your cult leader.
- The final 30 or so polls include Gallup, Quinnipiac and Pew Research Center. All make significant errors on occasion but many of their polls are decent.
So, 75% provably bias or not trustable and 25% being questionable to accurate, the additional fact that they leave out geosynchronous online and Straw polling altogether and lastly, that they average polls, some with sample sizes and some without, makes it really quite laughable to consider anything they do “scientific”.
@Theobrothers But, you understand how a straw poll has a very different demographic than a scientific poll, for all the difficulties a scientific poll might have right? Also are you suggesting there is a conspiracy among the polling companies to suppress the Ron Paul percentage? I don't get why the RP supporters are so quick to just down the conspiracy road.
Also Bachmann won the straw poll are you suggesting she will do amazingly well too?
Again, very few of the polls out their are scientific, i.e. open to peer review.
Independent polling companies don't make up the majority of polls done, paid ones do. And many of the independents are provably biased if you do just a tiny little bit of research.
Seeing that Bachmann purchased and then gave away 6,000 tickets free and received 4,823 votes while Ron Paul sold 4,000 tickets at $10 a pop and received 4,671 votes I'd say no.
Ron has the most straw poll wins by far and plays no ethical games to "get" votes in them. I'd say Straw polling is the best polling we have so far.
I got mad searching skills son, you really should just start researching and thinking instead of trying to fight me on this. I ain't your average Paul supporter.
@Theobrothers It's not about ethical games, I'm not suggesting Ron Paul is doing anything wrong by doing well in unscientific polls, I'm saying they are unscientific and don't have the same demographic and ideological makeup of the people who will actually be voting. This should be obvious to anyone that understands basic statistics, if your sample population is skewed you will draw incorrect conclusions if you use that as your starting point.
If you think tallying up the polling that is mostly paid for by the corporate and bank controlled MSM is an accurate way to predict who is winning than this is really a pointless argument.
I can't relay information and facts to someone who still believes the MSM are true news organizations and not an entertainment / propaganda outlets.
@Theobrothers Also, if the MSM had a conspiracy to suppress Paul, either they are all doing it the same way and are colluding with each other, so NY Times and Fox News are in a conspiracy together, or the other candidates that would be the beneficiaries of what would have been Paul's votes would jump all over the place from poll to poll. Instead they all have approximate agreement.
The reality is that RP does better in unscientific formats because of his small number of enthusiastic supporters.
The conspiracy isn't between the entirety of the Media but rather the umbrella corporate structure each MSM outlet happens to fall under.
Research each channel, who owns them, what other brands and affiliations that person is connected to and you'll start to realize why they wouldn't want someone like Ron in power.
If you and I made money from financially feeding the political beast, and someone was about to end that, we wouldn't necessarily be conspiring with each other but we sure as hell would "conspire" with anyone we knew who could help us stop that person and would use all the resources available to us to do so.
This ain't a Hollywood movie script, it's business 101.
@Theobrothers There's no conspiracy, look at 2008 RealClearPolitics Iowa final averages vs the actual vote tally, only Mike Huckabee was more that 3% off (4.7% error). The order of candidates was predicted other than swapping McCain and Thompson who ended only 0.4% apart.
bit{dot}ly/qXXSHq
Additionally, ONLY Ron Paul's straw poll performance in the 2007 Iowa straw poll was close to his actual result. 9.1% straw vs 9.9% final.
1. Can you read. RCP tally's sham polls. Sham polls paid by corporate interests. So you keep citing them why?
2. You seriously think Corporate interests aren't conspiring, man seriously wake the fuck up, you either don't watch what is said in regards to Ron Paul, what is asked of him while he's interviewed, or the tone in which MSM "journalists" speak of and too him.
3. Are you trying to prove my point that Straw polling is the best indicator? Thanks, Ron Wins.
@Theobrothers 1. These polls almost exactly predicted the actual results. So why are they shams? They have a proven track record of being accurate in previous elections.
2. Please throw away your tin foil hat
3. I don't think you have the math/statistics background to understand what I just showed you, or to understand how skewed sample population data sets create poor conclusions. There's no point in arguing this, you'll see when the real votes come in that I'm right.
Final Results according to RCP - Huckabee:34.4%, Romney:25.2%, McCain:13.0%, Thompson:13.4%, Paul:9.9%, Giuliani:3.4%
Final results according to Reality - McCain:46.5%, Romney:22.1%, Huckabee:20.8%, Paul:~10%, Thompson:~0%, Giuliani:~0%
Ya, RCP, real close percentages LoL...
Also, even if they did match up, which they in no way do, lol, it would simply be by coincidence, as again, the polling is paid for by the MSM who are controlled by Corporate interests.
@Theobrothers Made an error as I thought the RCP you linked was for the Entire race.
Perhaps the reason why the polling data was so close that time around is that nearly none of the polling was done by the MSM or corporate controlled interests.
of the 80 polls, less than 20 were MSM or CCI, also for some reason they didn't include weights for sample size, which is pretty important in statistics, lol
So again, who knows, but I can say for sure it isn't scientific.
If all the polls were open to full peer review, and all the polls were indeed reviewed by an non bias source than I wouldn't need to criticize them. There is no overtly critical analysis of these polls, you can't argue it lol.
If I and 4 other people stated Strawberry Ice Cream was the most popular flavor in the US, and proceeded to cite polling that proved it, and you later found out that, I and these 4 individuals paid for nearly half of the polls we cited, and that half of the remaining polls we didn't directly pay for were "indirectly" influenced by corporate interests connected to us, wouldn't you be a "bit" suspicious?
@buckeyemike81 cult leader is the tipical reply of somone who watch too much o'reilly. i dont even like all his views, but is the only one not on hire by banks, and not a slave of zionist pigs, so if you're not retarded, your vote could be only for ron paul
@mattvlad3 You said quote "but [he] is the only one not on hire by banks, and not a slave of zionist pigs"
So you're a racist anti-Semite and a conspiracy theorist? You stay classy, mattvlad3. It sounds like you're an OWS Marxist not a libertarian like Ron Paul.
@buckeyemike81 "conspiracy" like "devils" are used by propaganda to demonize someone who say uncomfortable thuths. jewish elite are not all jews, people like you is the primary cause of antimsemitism, cause bankster always used antisemite shiled. hwr you cant call me nazi and marxsist at the same time, but i guess your level of knowledge is under 3rd grade
@kirbz01 Why is that? Ron Paul is succeeding to elect Romney, he has no chance in the south. Gingrich and Santorum are the only 2 that can beat Romney at this point, and with the votes all split it doesn't look like either of them have a great chance.
@buckeyemike81 LOL Gingrich and Santorum aren't even on the ballot in several key states that amount to around 564 delegates! The ONLY electable GOP candidates are Ron Paul and Romney.
Mittens is our John Kerry flip flopper, he's not electable.
Ron Paul authored 600+ bills but only 1 was passed, he co-chaired a defense committee with Barney Frank that appointed 11 of 14 George Soros stooges, and he wasn't able to stop one of his own employees for a decade from slandering his name by publishing a racist newsletter with his name signed to it. If the DNC gets a chance to run ads with those newsletters Obama will win, fair or not.
@buckeyemike81 "Ron Paul authored 600+ bills but only 1 was passed"
you make that sound like a bad thing. do you want a politician to pass more unconstitutional bills? or broker deals with lobbyists and special interests in order to pass unconstitutional bills? most of them give more power to the government, not the individual. and when it comes to the good bills (the ones that repeal unjust laws), it's not his fault that the rest of the scum congress don't wanna play ball.
@wunderbeast No I don't want them passing unconstitutional bills, but it's important that they understand the legislative process enough to enact bills that restore the constitution. Ron Paul talks a good game, but hasn't delivered. You can write good bills in a way that the riff raff in congress can go along with such as welfare reform in the 90's with Santorum and Gingrich.
I predicted Obama was dangerous in 2004. I read Obama like a book and new he was not good. He has done more damage than I thought he was going to do but I realized he was going destroy the republic. We are on the verge of socialism, I predict we will be pushed over the edge when he anounces his job plans next week. If he federalizes the banks he and the government will have lost all our freedoms and liberty.
I woke up to the Obama lies a few months ago, Since discovering Dr. Paul ive not only changed my views i actually studied them so i can actually understand them unlike when i was supporting Obama i just followed empty words
Good on you John. I would only encourage you to study Austrian economics. Ron Paul started reading Austrians in the 60's, and that was what made him who he is today.
You showed you were STUPID in 2008, and once again you are on the next idiot bandwagon. Paul got ONE PERCENT of the delegates in 2008 and nothing has changed. You're for another LOSER
@aerosmith613 It is better to fail in the cause for liberty than to win in the progression of tyranny. Ron Paul is always coming into top 3 and, thanks to USA Today, we see when he doesn't get top 3 it is because of votes being ignored. Ron Paul 2012
@YaHuWaHservant Ah don't bother with him, probably a troll/hater. Anyone that resorts to calling names isn't worth responding to. Thanks for the comment and keep fighting the good fight!
@getonid HOLY CRAP! All this time I've been talking to the dude who made one of the original Ron Paul endorsement videos, I had no idea that was you Dino lol
END AND CLOSING OF THE 900 MILITARY BASES AROUND THE WORLD.
BRING TRILLIONS HOME.SHRINK OF GOV BY 50% ...THE SMALLER THE BETTER FOR EASY GRAB BY THE PEOPLE WHEN NOT DOING A GOOD JOB.END OF THE IRS= MORE MONEY IN YOUR PAY CHECK. END OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE (THEY HAVE STOLEN 97% OF THE DOLLAR VALUE)
It's the FEDERAL RESERVE STUPID!! This country has the right and authority to mint and coin it's own DEBT FREE money. So why do WE THE PEOPLE still borrow it from a private bank? End the FED, RON PAUL CAN WIN.
It's not Left vs. Right (hand puppet)
IT'S (TRUE) FREEDOM VS. TYRANNY (aka SLAVERY).
It's time to take care of your Government, because if you don't, it will be taking care of you. (take that any way you like)
And even if you still want Obama to win and plan to vote for him in the general election, what do you have to lose if you register republican and vote for Ron Paul in the republican primary? Nothing, in fact you can guarantee that IF Obama is not re-elected, a republican that WILL end the wars IS elected! Otherwise, it WILL be more of the SAME under another "Bush" type republican! Can ANY hardcore democrat tell me why this is not a great idea, to vote for Ron Paul in the primary?
American citizens are morally responsible for the wars and the war crimes committed in their name. The sad truth is, however, that they don't know what's going on - and they don't lift a finger to find out.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that wants the troops home. Now! What do you want! Death or PEACE
Ha ha you feel for it.. plz the hair stood on my arms the very second I saw him.. I said who's that and a friend of mine said hes running for president.. I said oh shit.. Oh shit was my exact words. Plz you have to look past the bs and look at who's real. Don't fall for the good speaking BSers.. lol Ron Paul proved himself already.
@MizzShady Heck yeah, I had an Obama man-crush as I was reading "Dreams from my Father" LOL. I've learned my lesson: principle and the Constitution over any man or woman!
Once it is realized that it is Us vs. Them, and that they deceived and tricked us into fighting each other, rather than them, their power will fall away and we will be victorious.
YES!, in some States you have to register as a Republican if you want to vote in the primary for Ron Paul. Hold your nose and do it. It's not about the Party. It is about Ron Paul, liberty and a true representative of the people - a pariah of his party's elite, but beloved of the people. We outnumber the elite. Victory is ours. Thanks for the thoughtful and well presented discourse.
I also will be voting for Ron Paul in 2012. Anyone who has been as consistent in voting with regards to our constitution as congressman Paul has is someone who not only talks the talk, but also walks the walk. Thanks for joining in the march to Liberty and Freedom and justice for ALL men.
Welcome to the r3VOLution John! Waking up sure feels good, doesn't it? You're correct to point out that Ron Paul is the thinking persons candidate, because his message requires actual work (i.e. understanding that comes from reading & study) and cannot be easily digested in some slick lamestream media soundbite.
Your profound delineation brought tears to my eyes. You're a pretty damn good speaker too and have a cogent grasp of the strings of empathy. I've been a RP supporter since 2k7, but just wow, the stories I hear of people turning their heads don't just delight me, they humble me. Thanks muchly wunderbeast. Thanks indeed for the kind words advocating for the cause of liberty. We forge our own path. We deserve that path to be of our own choosing, wide open. For liberty.
It is heartening to hear Americans beginning to think independently,listening to honest reasoning,going beyond their childhood education-propaganda, and choosing peace and freedom.
Independents and Democrats, if you want to nominate Ron Paul, do not forget to register with GOP for PRIMARIES. Many states require membership in order to vote. Plan in advance.
I think I would support Ron Paul simply on his serious genuineness and good principles... I agree with him on many parts, I suppose I disagree on a few, but I really like his support of the Constitution. As I was unable to vote in the last election, I don't have regret; however, it's not like McCain was great. He was probably the lesser of two evils. Nice speech. It read almost poetically.
John, Thank you for taking the time to compose such an eloquent, reasoned post. As a long time libertarian and Ron Paul supporter, I welcome you. It is a hopeful sign for America that supporters of individual liberty, peace. and the Constitution from all points of the political compass can join together behind someone of principle.
Well written lad! I too fell for the Obama charm...will not do that again. What do they say? Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Ron Paul is my guy in '12 and while I doubt he will win because the president is just so darn charismatic, that's o.k. I don't think Ron Paul necessarily has to win to invoke real reform going forward. A large 3rd party turnout will have real lasting effect. And if I'm wrong, if he can win that is, I will be overjoyed to be wrong!
wunderbeast, you are not alone in seeing Obama as the empty suit he really is. Just a Bush was before him, a pawn of the New World Order. Obama in my opinion is one of the top 5 worst Presidents in US History. Thousands and thousands of people everyday are waking up to the RON PAUL Revolution and will carry RON PAUL into the White House in 2012!
Keep spreading this amazing message!!! We gotta keep fighting for Ron Paul and our freedom!

I have a feeling 2012 is going to be an interesting election year.
jacoblindenmuth 3 months ago
@jacoblindenmuth Ok, if you do that just know you are giving a half vote to Obama. If you think Obama's policies are great then that's a fantastic plan.
How many liberals in 2000 voted for Ralph Nader and will regret that for the rest of their lives?
buckeyemike81 3 months ago
@buckeyemike81 Liberal/Conservative, Dem/Rep doesn't matter at all. Obama, Romney, Cain, and the rest of them are Statists funded by corporate interests. Ron Paul's campaign funds come from his supporters. That is all you need to know to make your choice. Even if I completely disagreed with all of Paul's positions, he is the only one that wants to do what he believes is best for the People, not corporate donors who pay $50,000 to go to a campaign "dinner"
jacoblindenmuth 3 months ago
@buckeyemike81 LOL have you seen the new flip flop video of Romney and Gingrich? Believe me, they'll merely say anything that is politically palatable at the time. They could care less about doing anything with the Federal Reserve.
wunderbeast 2 months ago
@wunderbeast So true....and Ron Paul is WINNING!!!!!!!!!!!
haolejohn 2 months ago
@wunderbeast If Romney or Gingrich just enact Ron Paul's ideas to get elected and keep their electorate happy, what's the problem? The ideas get implemented, so it doesn't matter who does it or why they did it. If they get in there and become liberals, then it's our duty to elect a libertarian congress to stop them until the next presidential election. We did pretty well in 2010 doing this.
buckeyemike81 2 months ago
@buckeyemike81 "that's not his goal"
O'Really?
Mind citing proof of this statement. LoL
Theobrothers 3 months ago
@Theobrothers Ron Paul has no chance in winning, so either he's delusional to continue his campaign (which I don't think is the case) or he is pushing his ideas over himself which are catching on with politicians that can win. Ron Paul is a cult leader to too many people. Who cares if he wins or not if his ideas carry on with someone else? The goal is to end the Fed yes? Electing Ron Paul is only a means to that end, and there are others that can carry it over the finish line.
buckeyemike81 3 months ago
@buckeyemike81
No other top tier candidate would "carry it over the finish line", if you don't realize that then you are the only one delusional here.
As for your opinion that Ron has no chance, again, evidence?
Dominates Internet Polling, Searches, Video's made.
Dominates Straw Polling in wins and in votes.
Dominates in terms of factual, provable positions.
Dominates on provable consistency.
So how does he not have a chance to win? Again, without facts you are simply stating opinion.
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@Theobrothers Ron Paul's supporters are very enthusiastic and so any poll that's not scientific they will do very well in. When the rubber hits the road and Joe Average goes out to vote, Ron Paul will get 5-15% of the vote. This doesn't mean his ideas aren't great, it's just the reality.
The better question is, if Ron Paul's ideas win, but he doesn't is that a problem? I would think that the most important thing are the ideas, and I think on that front he is winning.
buckeyemike81 2 months ago
@buckeyemike81
Hmm more opinions with no facts.
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@Theobrothers 1. Here's the RCP average of polls, Ron Paul is at 8% bit{dot}ly/hB1z4U
2. History and polling
3. Auditing the Fed, stopping the creating of money out of nothing, spending reductions, tax reductions, etc.
Ron Paul has clearly moved the debate. It's sad that his supporters are so tied to Ron Paul the man instead of his ideas. It turns an otherwise noble campaign that could lead to serious changes into a cult.
Don't attack random people on the internet to protect your cult leader.
buckeyemike81 2 months ago
@buckeyemike81
Let’s do a little run down of how they come to their polling data on RCP, lol…
Out of 120+ polls;
- Nearly half, 59, are MSM made and funded.
- 20, roughly 16% are Public Policy Polling which has a history of provable bad polling.
- 14, or 11% are Rasmussen Reports, consistent friend of FOX and Bill O, and provable bias if you simply read what questions they ask.
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@buckeyemike81
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@Theobrothers But, you understand how a straw poll has a very different demographic than a scientific poll, for all the difficulties a scientific poll might have right? Also are you suggesting there is a conspiracy among the polling companies to suppress the Ron Paul percentage? I don't get why the RP supporters are so quick to just down the conspiracy road.
Also Bachmann won the straw poll are you suggesting she will do amazingly well too?
buckeyemike81 2 months ago
@buckeyemike81
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@buckeyemike81
Ron has the most straw poll wins by far and plays no ethical games to "get" votes in them. I'd say Straw polling is the best polling we have so far.
I got mad searching skills son, you really should just start researching and thinking instead of trying to fight me on this. I ain't your average Paul supporter.
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@Theobrothers It's not about ethical games, I'm not suggesting Ron Paul is doing anything wrong by doing well in unscientific polls, I'm saying they are unscientific and don't have the same demographic and ideological makeup of the people who will actually be voting. This should be obvious to anyone that understands basic statistics, if your sample population is skewed you will draw incorrect conclusions if you use that as your starting point.
buckeyemike81 2 months ago
@buckeyemike81
If you think tallying up the polling that is mostly paid for by the corporate and bank controlled MSM is an accurate way to predict who is winning than this is really a pointless argument.
I can't relay information and facts to someone who still believes the MSM are true news organizations and not an entertainment / propaganda outlets.
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@Theobrothers Also, if the MSM had a conspiracy to suppress Paul, either they are all doing it the same way and are colluding with each other, so NY Times and Fox News are in a conspiracy together, or the other candidates that would be the beneficiaries of what would have been Paul's votes would jump all over the place from poll to poll. Instead they all have approximate agreement.
The reality is that RP does better in unscientific formats because of his small number of enthusiastic supporters.
buckeyemike81 2 months ago
@buckeyemike81
The conspiracy isn't between the entirety of the Media but rather the umbrella corporate structure each MSM outlet happens to fall under.
Research each channel, who owns them, what other brands and affiliations that person is connected to and you'll start to realize why they wouldn't want someone like Ron in power.
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@buckeyemike81
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@Theobrothers There's no conspiracy, look at 2008 RealClearPolitics Iowa final averages vs the actual vote tally, only Mike Huckabee was more that 3% off (4.7% error). The order of candidates was predicted other than swapping McCain and Thompson who ended only 0.4% apart.
bit{dot}ly/qXXSHq
Additionally, ONLY Ron Paul's straw poll performance in the 2007 Iowa straw poll was close to his actual result. 9.1% straw vs 9.9% final.
bit{dot}ly/nj3w0M
buckeyemike81 2 months ago
@buckeyemike81
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@Theobrothers 1.
There's no point in arguing this, you'll see when the real votes come in that I'm right.
buckeyemike81 2 months ago
@buckeyemike81
LoL
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@Theobrothers Made an error as I thought the RCP you linked was for the Entire race.
Perhaps the reason why the polling data was so close that time around is that nearly none of the polling was done by the MSM or corporate controlled interests.
of the 80 polls, less than 20 were MSM or CCI, also for some reason they didn't include weights for sample size, which is pretty important in statistics, lol
So again, who knows, but I can say for sure it isn't scientific.
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@buckeyemike81
Keep in mind,
1. Many people are switching parties to vote for paul this time around,
2. Although the MSM was/is still black balling him it's far less than this time.
3. He's clearly winning straw polling across the nation, which is why the MSM stopped reporting them.
Also, I base everything I argue in logic and facts obviously. I haven't once spewed a tin foil argument, I can cite everything I have claimed.
I have absolutely destroyed your every point, can't U C?
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@buckeyemike81
If all the polls were open to full peer review, and all the polls were indeed reviewed by an non bias source than I wouldn't need to criticize them. There is no overtly critical analysis of these polls, you can't argue it lol.
Theobrothers 2 months ago
@buckeyemike81
Damn my tin foil hat wearing logic.

@kirbz01 Why is that? Ron Paul is succeeding to elect Romney, he has no chance in the south. Gingrich and Santorum are the only 2 that can beat Romney at this point, and with the votes all split it doesn't look like either of them have a great chance.
buckeyemike81 1 month ago
@buckeyemike81 LOL Gingrich and Santorum aren't even on the ballot in several key states that amount to around 564 delegates! The ONLY electable GOP candidates are Ron Paul and Romney.
wunderbeast 1 month ago
@wunderbeast This is only an issue in Virginia.

@buckeyemike81 The difference is that Mitt Romney is cool, John Kerry looked like Bush.
TheRationalChristian 4 weeks ago
@buckeyemike81 "Ron Paul authored 600+ bills but only 1 was passed"
you make that sound like a bad thing. do you want a politician to pass more unconstitutional bills? or broker deals with lobbyists and special interests in order to pass unconstitutional bills? most of them give more power to the government, not the individual. and when it comes to the good bills (the ones that repeal unjust laws), it's not his fault that the rest of the scum congress don't wanna play ball.
wunderbeast 3 weeks ago
@wunderbeast No I don't want them passing unconstitutional bills, but it's important that they understand the legislative process enough to enact bills that restore the constitution. Ron Paul talks a good game, but hasn't delivered. You can write good bills in a way that the riff raff in congress can go along with such as welfare reform in the 90's with Santorum and Gingrich.
