Awesome video. His print looks quite fab. I am interested in etching now. I'd love to acquire the tools to dry point etch.
I figured you would need an acid bath for the copper in dry point too, but I guess not! Which makes it an ideal thing to start learning in my basement.
Thanks for sharing his talent, knowledge, and process.
Very useful for giving my students a quick overview of drypoint. Our school is also studying "thoroughness" as our "Character Trait of the Month" right now... what an excellent example of thoroughness! Thank you!

How fabulous! I've never done any engraving but have always been fascinated by it - it always seemed like some arcane mystery. How generous of Mr. Richardson to share his art and his knowledge - many thanks to him, and to you for filming this.
Thank you for this great video. It was very interesting to see your passion and love for printmaking. I really appreciate your efforts. Thank you and God bless you~
I live very close by. How amazing that there is such depth of knowledge and wisdom so close by, perhaps everywhere and unstated/hidden. What a great video!
please write to Geoffery Richardson with any questions. He does not use or has any interest in computers. I know he would love fan mail. It would make his day.
Thank you for your comments. I see Geoff the other day and he was in good sprits. He is so happy that ther world is finding out how to do it the right way. I will pass your good messages on.
i have a question, i have just started to learn this art, and i just bought me a cheap litle etching press, my problem is that when i go ahead & print something, the print does not come out good at all, infact it comes out terrible, most of the ink remains on the plate, the plates i use are high quality in detail,
could it be that my press is to cheap? it is a school etching press, from ""jerry's ARTARAMA"
what brand of press do you recomend? and what especifications?
God bless you Mr. Geoffery Richardson. Great demonstration.
