This is a perfect example of what is wrong with the United States.

We have billions of dollars to fight other countries wars for them, billions of dollars to give benefits to people who are in our country illegally, billions of dollars to give to other countries - but one of our own law-abiding elder citizens has to make himself a "criminal" in order to get basic health care.

Americans keep telling me how there system is better than Canada's. Really ?
