On the linux desktop there isn't a "start" panel, it's just an icon dock that uses each application's default icon. It normally autohides but for the video I had it showing.
Unless you mean the windows start menu, in which case I agree! Windows is fug!
@kwaig0n i see u dont get something.... the start panel that disgusts u that much is windows start panel... he is woking windows inside his linux in a virtual machine and in seamless mode as i got it...
Yes, however compiz and other compisiting engines do not work with enlightenment, which is the point. The ones that do work with E are kinda crappy. e17/ecomorph is pretty much the maximum desktop eye candy.
quite good, but this "start" panel is absolutely disgusting and awful!

Great video, but my opinion:
- YouTube already has infinite videos of this kind.
- The desktop is too dark. :D

- At the time of posting this was the only video of ecomorph, which is different from compiz
- That is your opinion. White desktops are tacky to me. The contrast ratio is the same.

"of this kind" includes compiz aswell as ecomorph and other composition engines.

augustofretes: I totally agree with you! Ecomorph looks good! They just need to do some packages for Debian and Ubuntu, dont you agree?

Finally, e17 with powerful composite (bling and xcompmgr sucked).
