In part 2, it's pretty much straightforward, but the plot is pretty deep and the action is just as deep...Not to mention the battles are pretty hectic and fast-paced...

The boss fights are as unique as the MGS boss fights and you can just see the similarities dripping on the awesome characters you fight/allied with~

Others compare, but they can't match the depth, story, detail or the ACTION these games have and one reason the action is so great is BECAUSE of how deep the story goes.
