"who dat say dey gunna be dem saints" its seems uneducated to an outsider but it pays tribute to the old cajuns and roots of south louisana.

New Orleans is NOT still a wasteland. You must not have visited lately. I live there so should know.

The city looks GREAT and has come a LONG way. There are some lower lying areas which got it the worst that are lagging behind (though improving), but overall, the difference is night and day from where we were just 4 years back. The older scenic historic areas (the ones people travel the world to see) are back 100% and look fantastic.

And YES, the Saints have contributed a LOT.

No I don't live in the Lower Ninth Ward, true, but am not a "yuppie" and am very aware about how badly the Lower Ninth Ward has fared in relation to the rest of the city.

I had thought you were some out of towner just throwing dirt on the city.

However, it is a mischaracterization to call the whole city a wasteland. Most of the city has made a surprisingly good comeback considering, but yes things AREN'T coming back as they should in the 9th Ward, I agree, but I do have hope.

Check it out I went to New Orleans for a Saints Game in November and returned to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and was there for The Saints Victory Parade which by the way was awesome. The people of New Orleans are about the nicest people you will ever meet. And yes The Saints have done alot for New Orleans . The city it's self is rich in History. All i have to say is Thank you New orleans for your hospitality and kindness I had a hell of a time. And God Bless Them Saints Who Dat.
