Coming from a huge soft rock lover, I, for one, loved it. Sure, her notes weren't on pitch and her bottom 2 placement was necessary, but she is amazing either away and her elimination was NOT necessary.

It's such a shame Nicole had to be Stacy's mentor. Paula and Nicole have done a lousy job of showcasing their acts in the best possible way. The obvious exception is Josh Krajcik because he has such an established style and knows what artist he wants to be. I like Nicole, but she picked A LOT of bad songs for Stacy. But she doesn't take all the blame. Stacy's voice control in this song was awful. If she wants to go up in the high range she better be able to control herself.
It's kind of hard to say this, but Nicole is guilty for Stacy's failure. Stacy had more and more to give and she could have got to the end, but Nicole was just a bad mentor to her, wrong song choices, wrong hairstyle... Stacy really deserved this for her and her kids :(

I've seen the exact same thing happen in America's Got Talent. We got X-Factor in Greece too and the audience completely ignores the judges'comments. Especially when they see unfairness against someone on a particular episode, they vote for that contestand even more!
This was bad. Story is that producers finally got wind of her background and was time for her to go. She didn't help matters with this horrible performance. Apparently she was a nightmare behind the scenes, too.
Call me clueless but I thought she did great on this song, and I liked the song choice. It's like the judges were talking about a different person and performance. Even Nicole couldn't bring herself to praise the performance even a little bit! Simon's comment about her hair was way out of line.

seriously, what she did when she sung the song was that she sold herself completely, and the good thing is that she dares to put herself out there and take so many vocal chances, not like the many other singers on these kinds of shows who hold back and don't deliver. It's just that when she sings the difficult parts they are just not as polished

Actually you know what I noticed, when she revealed her forehead everyone started to hate on her. She went from not having a large dislike bar , TO A HUGE ONE.

@SquishyCandyftw omg wad u sae is soooo true, i rmr watching that night and i missed the first 15 minutes of the show, so when i watched the playback at the end of the show i got the shock of my life when i saw the first performance, and that track was not very tastefully chosen...but the actual performance wasnt as bad as the playback track tho.......STILL, she shouldnt have gone home compared to that little brat with the bad attitude, because she can connect beautifully with an audience

Honestly, stacey shouldn't have made it this far.... She's good an all, she has the passion and drive... Just lacks in talent compared to the other contestants like Melanie and Josh ... I have a feeling I may be a little tone deaf as well... I didn't like this the first time I heard it, but after listening to it about 10 times I like it more each time and now it's one of my favorites then again I've always preferred people who sing from their heart and soul compared to "technical" singers... I've seen the exact same thing happen in America's Got Talent. We got X-Factor in Greece too and the audience completely ignores the judges'comments. Especially when they see unfairness against someone on a particular episode, they vote for that contestand even more!

This was bad. Story is that producers finally got wind of her background and was time for her to go. She didn't help matters with this horrible performance. Apparently she was a nightmare behind the scenes, too.

Call me clueless but I thought she did great on this song, and I liked the song choice. It's like the judges were talking about a different person and performance. Even Nicole couldn't bring herself to praise the performance even a little bit! Simon's comment about her hair was way out of line.

trouble that NO ONE can out do celine dion on this song. Celine Dion's voice is beyond phenomenal - it is the ultimate voice. This song was too big for her.

Stacy is definitely losing popularity. Her screeching, pitch deaf singing can turn people off. Why does she always have to reach that high note? It's not even nice to hear. When i hear her getting off her pitch, i get embarrassed for her. This is sad. Like Simon said LESS IS MORE for her. Please hear yourself Stacy. I used to like her.

@maclaren888 I agree with you and I honestly LOVE Stacy! She can sing so good but she's not an "artist" like some of the other contestants... If she was she could sing ANYTHING.... whether the song is good or bad.... She should still blow us away!! Purple Rain was by far her best performance.. If they were all as good as that and her first audition she could have won!!
