I think the saddest thing about Heath's death was not simply how much Hollywood would miss him, but the little girl he left behind behind. he was an amazing man and from everythingI remember and everything I have heard he tried to be a good father. SO I find it saddest to know his little girl will never know him they way she could have. I am sure Michelle will do her best to tell her daughter about him, but it wont be the same so I am sorry Matilda for you most of all that your father is gone.

Matilda meant everything to Heath period end of story. He was heartbroken when he wasn't able to be with her. Heath was a great father...he did not choose to abandon Matilda. He made a poor choice in physicians who wrongly prescribed him multiple medications that should never be taken together. It was a tragic accident but make no mistake...Heath was a wonderful father to Matilda & she will always know how much he loved her. Michelle & the rest of Heaths family have vowed to be sure of that.

Today is Matilda's birthday. She is now 3 years old and its her first birthday since Heath's passing. Somehow I hope she knows through songs like this one and so many other things he said and did that he is will always be there to love her and watch over her.

I feel so sorry for Matilda, she never got the chance to know one of the most wonderful people to ever live. It's heartbreaking to think that all she has of her father are the films he made, and other videos. She has no memories of him. He should be watching her grow up. :[

I was fine until I read that this song was written especially for Matilda. After that I lost it and started bawling. Love like that is truly rare. it's too bad she will never feel that love as she grows. He will always be there for her in spirit and that is really all that matters.
