Hey, I've been looking for a copy of this image for a few weeks now, unfortunate;y the link you give is currently dead... All I've been able to find is MID, which is awful, I like Ubuntu, and would like to run mobile, if you can tell me where to get a copy of this I would appreciate it..

I have set this up and its not bad. I would like to change the Interface to Ubuntu 8.10 instead of MID. You do not have enough power to really do anything on this. I still dont understand how they have Touchpad support on ubuntu MID but not 8.10

1. Ubuntu numbering scheme is year.month, so it's 8.ten, not 8.1
2. Booting from slow devices makes it consume more memory. Linux programs don't directly load files, they 'map' them, and the OS decides when and how much to load of them depending on different circumstances. It will also free up memory instantly when needed.
3. VIRT for xorg ends up containing your maximally allocatable VRAM. In practice, xorg only consumes a few dozen megs of actual RAM under such circumstances.

Liek the video Steve, very good as always. Want to try this as I have Ubuntu on my laptop via virtualbox, but can you please help with a couple of points:
1) how do you 'install' teh .img file to usb?
2) how do I get my Q1 Ultra to book from usb?
