  • idk man id rather buy an oz of trim for like $70 and 2 grams of bud for $30 and do that than buy a half oz that seems like kind of a waste but those edibles would be extra kill

  • 1/2 oz. - 2 sticks of butter so 1/8 oz to 1/2 stick of butter or 1/4 oz to 1 stick of butter. Samething right????

  • Too hot of cooking and too much trouble. Vacuum pack the butter with product that you put through a grinder (FoodSaver vaccum is awesome). Set up a Crockpot filled with water on LOW and allow to simmer away at around 160F for 12hrs. No need to stir, deal with excess water, etc. Sous-vied method is trouble-free, gets excellent extraction and tastes better (no bitter flavor).

  • I suppose you could but you're not going to get much punch from the second go round using the "herb material" but I've thrown it in with a stick of butter and some fresh herb and you will get a very mild cannabutter. Do throw away the waste water though, nothing of value in that.

  • If you use bud it's an 1/2 oz of bud to 2 sticks of butter (or 1/2 pound). If you have lower quality bud such as Schwag, "merch" or reggie use 1 oz of the lower quality MJ with your 2 sticks of butter. Trim/shake works really well just use the 1 oz as your starting point with 2 sticks of butter. Good question and good luck to you on your cooking buttah.

  • I just recently bought a big crockpot as well and it will work on big batches. I recommend you cook with a 2 oz of trim/buds with 8 sticks of butter and fill up the rest of the crock pot with water (thinking 2 cups at least). Cook on low for 2 hours and then strain out the leafy material and place in the fridge for hardening.

    Empty out the waste water in the morning and you'll have made at least 2 pounds of really nice cannabutter using 2 oz of bud/trim and 8 sticks of butter.
