i remember my first console, a PS2, but i loved the SEGA games that i had for it, I remember alot of games from SEGA, including the new house of the dead 2 and 3 ports to wii, i want SEGA to come back one day with a console, and to see if they can overtake the market

What a lot of people seem to say is that Sega should have waited a futher year before bringing out there Dreamcast and wait for the new DVD technology to get cheap enough to implement it into Dreamcast technology and give it a fairer price by then and Sega brought Dreamcast out in Japan a whole year before they did in European and US territory

had they brought it out in the west at the same time it may have givin Sega more time to build the Dreamcast brand and improve it's online technology too

Very true. But I think Sega was so tapped finacially at that point that it wouldn't have been possible. A DVD player would have put them over the top and crushed Sony, it the DC were still to be released in 1999. Sadly, things didn't pan out that way. I'll never forget that fateful morning I awoke, fired up the ol' 56K, and saw the headline "SEGA LEAVES HARDWARE BUSINESS FOREVER." That was a sad day.

i never got to have a dreamcast before they discontinued it D:> the only memory i have as a little kid when it came out, i was at the mall and played Sonic Adventure 2 on it at a store, and i saw shadow and didnt even know who he was lol. (sigh) goodbye dreamcast :(

Besisdes even if ps2 has better graphics and more storage space then dreamcast its still dreamcast thats a better system, thats probably because sega in my opinion was the best company when it came to making new fresh content
