@gumchuwer There's a couple of different groups of Water Meteors, but most of them are actually boys. In the one I saw, there were 2 boys and only 1 girl.

A Cirque du Soleil show is beautiful,mystical,weird,bizar­re,strange,mesmerizing,awe inspiring...I've never seen a performance live,but have on channels like PBS.Sometimes I've thought,"wow,that's WEIRD"..but I LOVE the how much work,and how much fun they are to watch.

Why are they called water meteors?

Because those metal things at the end of the ropes are bowls and they each have water poured into them. A meteor is a type a weapon of the same design with weights at the end. It developed into an artistic form as displayed here.

The Cirque du Soleil is AMAZING live, if you ever have an oppurtunity, go to it, it's expensive, but after watching it you get to feel that you've accomplish one of those things you need to do while you're alive!
