@agerroman2009 Достали вы уже всех со своей культурой дятлы желтоблакидные.казаки своим происхождением не имеют к Украине так же как и к России не какого отношения кроме того что они в основном славяне.Казаки произошли от скифов,еще до нашей эры на Каспии существовало скифское государство которое так и называлась Казак,от него и пошли казаки.А свои хохлятские бредни(типа казаки это только мы) оставь при себе.Казаки существовали и до запорожских и до донских и до кубанских казаков.

look at russia and the surrounding countries (ukraine and polland etc) and they all do these WILD acrobatics in their folklore. look at us balkans (very close to russia) and we're somehow down to stomping and shuffling feet along the ground...why? i want balkan folklore to be cool like russian :-(

This is Kuban Cossacks, not Caucasian. And cossacks culture is russian. You confused cossack dance with lezghinka and native costumes are similar. But listen to the music, it's russian.

i dont know what polish have any relation to this but, kuban cossacks are decendants of zaporozhian ukrainian cossacks, actaully kuban created its own state for a brief period from 1917-1918 when russian empire broke it was governed by Kuban Rada, the only official language in that state was UKRAINIAN, if you check soviet census 1926 it says that 62% of kuban considered themselves UKRAINIAN, and in the 1937 census ( after Holodomor) only 11% were ukrainian, kuban cossacks are ukrainian

Because these aren't Russians but Terek Cossacks - that means Cossacks from Chechnya.

They have copied Chechen clothes and partially their style of dancing, too.

Ok for history lovers. Cherkeska is a traditional clothes of Caucasian nations. But it is also a fact that Kozaks adopted cherkeska from these nations somewhere ago in the history. And now it is a mandatory attribute of Kozak's traditional costume.

Cherkessky are caucasian costumes, but the Kuban cossacks adopted them as their uniform. This is where the confusion comes from...

this is a stylised popularised dance with elements of folklore, the music is remixed, the costumes are not exact. there are very many bands like that in russia. people do not know the real folklore. where did you go to see it?

we were in st. petersburg. it was in a relatively small theater. the whole production had singing/dancing/band/storytell­ing (although we couldn't understand the stories, as they were in Russian).
