N so you guys no in not bullshitting I talked to my recruiter yesterday. The scores have changed because of budget cuts. So only you wanna get an easy is army. Other than that everything else is 50 n up

@jamarwo12, no you can't you can't Ben get into the marines right now unless you score a 50 an up. Closest you can get into is army. You have to score a 31 n prolly will have a shit job in the military. Higher scores give you better choices in the military and better jobs.

You should not study for the asvab, the test is for the army to judge where you are best fit for based on what you know. If you study for it you could get a job that is way over your head and you will hate yourself for the four years you are in that job.

The afqt is arithmetic reasoning mathimatical comperhension paragraph comperhension and work kowledge. These 4 sub tests will determin if you can qualify to enter what ever branch so you want to make sure you do well on these all the other subjects determin what type of job you can get

Can someone give me an adviced. I practice all the test in military.com and ASVAB for dummies book and Kaplan 2008 edittion and honestly I did great on those test. Like 90% or more in all part for the AFQT socres but Word knowledge that score was like 70%+. ( English is not my primary language). Then I took the ASVAB and score an AFQT of 45 and I don't understand why. Can some one please help me. I qulified for 52 jobs for the USAF but I din't pass the test. PLS HELP. Thanks in advanced.

whats the point of taking the pratice test on military.com if you dont know what is actually expected on the real thing? i am speaking from experiance because i took the asvab and yes i failed it but am ready to take it again and hopefully pass. however i was told that those practice tests are irrelevant. so whats the point of taking it?

@sicksicksicks3AL Ok...so heres the trick to getting a 50. Study. No I am serious. I'm not making fun of you. I studied the asvab on military.com and took the practice tests several times by creating several accounts. I got a 62 and now I am a (68W) Combat Medic deployable with an infantry unit in the Army National Guard. You can do it, just make an effort to study study study. Its your career so take it as serious as you can and do your best. Good luck!

@uuh100 Like I said its a score that determines you to get into the military. The real score is when they add up the sections you tested in, and put something for example, math with verbal reasoning together. When you see your liason officer he will tell you what jobs are open for you. Also have an idea what you want to go into, and if its seals tell him. But Seals is hard, you need to be mentally tough.

On my personal experience the asvab really can be passed by any mature person who's willing to drop the party kid life and pick up the books3 years ago I struggled on the asvab I try'd to enlist in the guard got a 22 was suppose to go take it amonth later ended up in jail for bs got out and joined the marines because due to having more then1 misdemeanor you are denied by all branches besides marines and active duty armyBS aside get your shit together study and stay home if you have to fuck drugs

I took the ASVAB today and the vocab was the hardest. they didnt have the words being used in a sentence or anything. if was just guess what the word means. which i think is unfair.

@SKoGoMoney 50 or not you want to score a 90 or better if you can. If you score in the 90s it greatly increases your chances of getting what you want out of the service from what I hear.

Yeah, if you want to do anything the military has to offer, try for a 110 GT at least. It's actually really easy, I got above it on my first try.

@SKoGoMoney Yea I hear it is easy. I am looking at possibly trying to go in to become a pilot. I don't know if I will be able to though because I wear glasses. I hear you can still do it if you have lasik and the surgery turns out well but... Even still I have been out of school now for a few years and I have not been working a job that requires much thought. I think I would feel more cofortable taking some sort of refresher course. If my eyes don't hold me back nothing else will either.

@SKoGoMoney At any rate weather my eyes prevent me from getting my flight training through the military or not I plan to come out of there a pilot. Even if I have to save everything I make while I am in the service and pay for civillian flight training when I get out. Either way I want to go through the millitary to get where I want to go. My list of things to be proud of in my life is much too short and a successful millitary career would make a damn find addition to it.

@iguardcalifornia I dont get asvab...I took one online and my scores were pretty bad cuz im still a freshman going to sophmore..Idk how it was scored..I got 10 right in a few but i got an 80% in paragraph comprehension...Do they grade it like they add the percentages up like if i got a few 10% and they add it to the 80 and that will go to like 130 so i got a 130 on my asvab cuz u need a 90 to be in infantry
