u know the original album cover was eddie holding paul dionno's head and u can see the axe eddie used and paul dionno's body on the ground. they changed it cause paul dionno wasnt in the band when they officially published maiden japan

ya derrick riggs didnt create  eddie steve harris did derrick riggs just drew and painted him for some of the album covers.

@danielhall65 Dunno where you get your information, but you're wrong about that one. Riggs created the first album cover in one form, but it was not "eddie." The band saw it in his portfolio and liked it. Riggs then added more hair and it was known as "Eddie" only because of the strange mask "ed the head" stage prop, which was nothing like the character we now know as Eddie. So the name was already there but Riggs' creation adopted only that.

Whenever I try to play this song on my bass my fingers turn into glowing balls of fire and melt off. And thats at the normal studio version tempo. At this tempo my fingers would just disintegrate. Steve Harris is a bass god.
