  • that looks good and so does the drink

  • that looks fucking good

  • whats the sweet and sour

  • Is that Gwyneth Paltrow??

  • You forgot the tequila.

  • @DerekDrinks there's no tequilla on it -.-

  • Comment removed

  • @zavorhadz Recipe's differ. There is.

  • absolutely bullshit. in first, the long island ice tea is also composedwith tequila. then we can' t add as much sweet & sour (lemon juice and sugar syrup)

  • go to the beach...good idea stay out of my bar lol

  • I wouldn't have mixed it this way at all, but this is not a bad video. Vodka, rum, gin, tequila, triple sec, a splash of OJ and a splash of cola is what I learned. I like them best shaken and strained, and lord you only need one! They do not sell these in France so I haven't had one in years. I recall they used to cost about ten dollars but that was the only drink you needed for the whole night! Very nice bar lady, good attitude.

  • swwet&sour???? wtf????

  • @Filliomene Yeah, I learned a tiny splash of OJ with a tiny splash of cola. She is a nice bar lady, though, nice video, gives you an idea. I learned vodka, gin, tequila, white rum and triple sec, shaken and strained, never any garnish, but in a big glass. You only have one for the whole day and night and switch to water after. She is right, however, top shelf is not needed for this one.

  • what the fuck is sweet n sour?

  • @valleystylez1 lemon with sugar !

  • The original LIIT didn't contain tequila, retards.

  • @spann0r true... i am barntender for years and its the first time i see long island without tequila.

  • @SylarSlash Yes, this is not the correct recipe, it must have tequila. And a splash of OJ and cola make the color, no sweet and sour. I think without the tequila this is just a waste of booze, but she is a nice barmaid. We cannot get a decent cocktail in France and I had to ask 8 times for a dry martini in Turkey in December. (Ditto in Iceland!) But I do not humiliate them and I tip. I just want it done at my request, I want to watch. It is costly so I want what I want.

  • I took her to the beach that day. We had long island iced teas and then had beach sex shortly after.

  • wha? No tequila?

    She's hot!

  • @DimebagVision Yeah, she is charming but the lack of tequila is a huge, huge gaff. Oh, well, she can learn. Pleasant bar help who keep things clean are lovely. So is she!

  • Are all you commentators amateurs? Everyone is bitching that the bartender is mixing it wrong. There isn't necessarily an "exact" way to mix one drink. There are general guidelines and some people like their drinks made a certain way that's different from others. God why does Youtube magnetize idiots?

  • @gooser562 I have been a professional critic, journalist, and written columns for decades. I still commented favorably on this and uprated. The lack of tequila makes this all wrong, but from country to country, things are done differently, and the attitude and cleanliness of the bar help makes all the difference. She is probably saving her boss a lot by skipping the tequila but I think that doesn't matter too much, in a nice environment you still get smashed.

  • wrong!

  • that kind would make me sick.

  • I've got a better version

  • a) too much sweet n sour

    b) her one two count is waaaaay off

    c) the glass was way not big enough

  • a) she didnt put in any tequile

    b) way to much sweet and sour

    c) i wanna lick her face

  • @thewhale101 #LOL

  • 1,5 cl from Tequila, Vodka, Triple Sec, Gin and white rum; 3cl sugar sirup, half lime, top-coke...

    It's the correct from IBA

  • You don't have to have tequila in it, there are different names for such, I believe a texas tea has tequila in it... she did however forget to shake it....

  • and where's the tequila?!? my favorite cocktail and you spoiled it. GOD DAMN IT!!!

  • massive bail

  • perfect!!

  • wow Gwyneth Paltrow is showing me how to mix a drink...and she's lookin straight at me, just me not any of u other guys.

  • incorrect.

  • dfarrellunique u are so right about the measures..

  • I haven't seen one video where they put the amount of alcohol that they say they are putting in, a 2 count gives you roughly 1 measure... so it doesn't look like a double it looks like a quadruple! It should be half measures on each spirit, and yes she missed out Tequila as has been pointed out. Looking cool kinda failed.

  • she totally missed the right reciepe

  • She looks like Gwenyth Paltrow.

  • @fulanitosf yea...she does.

  • wheres the tequila?

  • I love iced tea becuse it is good and how

you guys make iced tea so call me at

281 907 6184 so call me and beucse I am

a chef so I am a cook so tell me how you

make iced tead tea so call me at 281 907 6184

    so thankyou from Sarah

  • she forgot tequila

  • guys correct me if im wrong, the way i do long island ice tea is:

rock ice in sling glass splash of cola and shake the rest of ingredients

    10 ml of vodka

    10 ml of gin

    10 ml of rum

    10 ml of tequila

    10 ml of lime

    10 ml 0f lemon

layer the spirit and cola and the garnish is a ring of lime

  • Makes no difference how you do it, so long as it comes out great.

City Island, NY makes the worlds greatest Long Island Ice Teas.

They actually use 101 proof rum. Gauranteed to knock you out if you consume more then one drink.

But one's all you need to be the life of the party.

  • What happened to the Tequila?

  • Is this Long Island Iced-tea more for men or for women

  • she forgot to shake it a long island or anyother iced tea for that matter always has to have a short shake

  • exactly... no tequila... also half oz of each will do plus juice form on lime, top up with coke.... no sweet and sour needed......

  • If you wanna make a GOOD long island, don't listen to this chick, if you count, use a three count pour of vodka and rum, four count pour of gin, one count of tequila, half count of triple sec, half count of sweetend lime juice, fill with sweet and sour with a splash of coke. Also, don't use a lemon for a garnish... ALWAYS use a lime. I guarantee, its the best long island you'll ever drink

  • 4 count of gin? and 3 of vodka? they must knock you out after 1? lol

  • yeah, most people only have 1. I'm usually good for 2, but I like a good long island just before leaving the bar. I've always thought the point of drinking these is to ensure a good drunk for the rest of my drunkn Night. :)

  • You're always supposed to shake the drink when theres sour mix in it, then add the cola.. and yes as everyone has pointed out, she didn't add the Tequila.

Also, when you have 3 or more liquors in 1 drink, you only use a 1/2oz of each liquor.

  • As with many tutti-frutti cocktails from the 70s and 80s,this was designed to taste innocent-like ice-t,infact.One way to achieve this is to add the cola to the other ingredients in the shaker and shake all together:the shaking"flattens"the cola's effervescence, making it more like ice-t.Tequila in a Long Island actually turns it into a Texas Tea,and the strong taste of tequila means that it will never taste like iced tea.If you want an authentically ice-t tasting cocktail, skip the tequila.

  • She looks like a brown-haired Gwenyth Paltrow. Maybe it is her... and therefore since she is really a blonde, that is the reason she forgot the Jose Cuervo

  • yo... i kno jack about mixing cocktails... but i do kno there IS tequila in it...

  • what happend to the tequila?

  • FOR REAL WHAT HAPPEND TO THE TEQUILA?

  • that is the right way, although I will say that Rokkomann might have a point, still though I think we are talking price at that point, and if I want a long island and I don't have the money to get all top shelf ounces in there, the long islands made with "bottom shelf" liquor is not bad at all

and on the plus side, IT'LL GET YA DRUNK! lol

Man that lady teaching was pretty hot

  • hmm if you dont use top quality tequila like jose c the drink taste alot different...

  • I never knew people could be so opinionated on a drink recipe! Thank god I make it the right way - tequila and lemon juice NOT no tequila EVER and please do NOT waste that good drink with sour mix.

  • This woman is wrong. Im from NY; they always put TEQUILA in a Long Island Iced Tea. This is not the correct recipe. Im from here, where the drink originated, she is mistaken.

  • yeah let's go to the beach, or no, let's go to the hospital to get our stomacs pumped!

  • and it doesn't make a difference if you SHAKE IT UP first or not, with juices and liquors, they seperate on their own, tahts why every OVER drink you make, people stir it, cause usually the juice sink to the bottom and you alcohol floats to the top................................

  • not to mention, everywhere i go in california, its S & S......this drink isn't for taste its for getting you to the point QUICK

  • you guys are all stupid, its a strong drink, why would you look for a "tasty" drink with rum/vodka/gin/tequila...................

  • thats sheit

  • sweet n sour???... this chick is the worst bartender ever!

In australia we have it vodka, gin, tequila, rum & triple sec. Splash of lemon juice, then a splash of coke. Done. Simple.

  • wtf!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I've seen this so many times, people not putting in the tequila or subbing it for something else. WRONG!!!

And you need to shake the mix, get your fix.

And its lemon juice not fookin sweet and sour mix.

    And its a lime wedge.

    And....ok i'll stop now, lol.

take pride in your cocktails, do them right, play around and have fun.

    oh,

and get lashed in the process, hehe

  • the current norm is for her 4 spirits AND tequila to be in the drink. also it's supposed to be shaken in a boston with way more lemon and never given to a customer layered. the drink was invented during prohibition as a method of drinking whatever spirits one could get their hands on without looking suspicious. that's why there are so many different spirits in it. crap video and probably a crap drink with her making it too.

  • Horrible recipe. I wouldnt drink that if it was free. Proper recipe is: (all clear spirits) 1 oz tequila 1 oz gin 1 oz rum 1 oz vodka 1 oz triple sec 1.5 oz fresh lime juice splash simple syrup splash of coke. make it this way and I promise you wont ever want to order an overpriced weak ass long island from a bar again.
  • I'd ask for my money back, that was shite.

  • NO, the double Poor does not make you look cool.

  • That's the worse method of making a Long Island Ice Tea I've ever seen!

Made me laugh it was that bad. Know never to go drinking there.

Also of course it matters you daft cow what kwality the liqueur is you put in there, otherwise there'd be no point in having different years etc etc.

    Sweet & sour mix?! wtf?!

  • thats a waste of money if you use high end like tanqueray, bacardi, kettle one, and patron.................

  • You are out of you're element. Mix Vodka,Gin,Rom,Tequila,TripleSec and Fresh lemon jucie in a pint glas. add a splash of coke. LIME WEDGE!

  • Not the greatest Long Island I have ever seen; But then it is a Long Island, so there is nothing to be elitist about. The poor man's Cuba Libre.

  • wronggggggggggg. for 1 it's a fkn boston glass, shes ment to shake it THEN add the coke. plus it's better if u swap gin for tequila.... god i hope ppl don't learn off these video's....

  • Very poor LIIT here. And you don't swap gin for tequila - the drink should have both.

And I agree, I REALLY hope that people don't use these as a reference point!

  • ur right dude.

  • lemon juice woooooooo

  • I love this drink :)

Can't laugh about your "jokes" though...

  • seattle sucks
