I'm getting this setup when I get back from the sandbox. When's the new video coming? I religiously watch this once a day and at least once a week through my surround sound. Hahah. Shit is evil son.
Hey all, stay tuned. I'll be creating a new video using my new dslr camera that creates dolby digital sound and 720p HD. With this camera you will hear my exhaust more clearly and you'll really hear how deep the exhaust sounds.
@CarnageFew Can't wait to hear the new vid. I'm torn between going Ford Racing Shorties (have a new set of ceramic-coated still in the box) and the Magnaflow with Borlas or selling the shorties and going Pypes LT, catless H-pipe and Borlas. They both sound bitchin'. Any ETA on your new clip getting posted?
I've been kinda waiting on the weather to clear up here. A lot of rain and now snow in the forcast for the next 3 days. As soon as we get at least 2 days of clear sunny weather, I'll try to get a video going.
Sounds Cool! I am looking for a throaty-sounding set-up for my '07. Is the video representing the actual loudness pretty accurately? Sounds like a "medium" jump in loudness over stock. Would you say that's about right?
Speakers don't do this setup justice. It sounds better in person. I get a lot of compliments also a lot of complaints from my neighbors in the early hours of the morning.
hey are your headers what give your car that extra aggresive tone? because ive looked at other cars witht he same set up and yours seems to have more of a growl
just wondering because i just bought the same set up minus the headers
Great setup hopefully doing this to my mustang now or wait till next spring since I out it away for the winter. Can u possibly post a vid with camera in car so I can hear how it sounds inside Thanks!
hey CarnageFew i have a question, well im thinking to put that magnaflow catted x-pipe in our Shelby gt500 and i was wondering, how much does that magnaflow catted x-pipe cost???? if you could get back to this comment as soon as possible that would be great. Thanks!!
is there something different about magnaflow's tru catted x-pipe then others cuz ive heard others videos with stingers on and a catted x and this one seems to be the only one to still keep the classic muscle car sound
The x pipe originally was an off road x. I purchased the Magnaflow high flow cats and had them welded into the pipe. It shouldn't sound any different than Magnaflow's catted x pipe. Maybe sounds louder because of my headers, cold air with tune, and stingers.
idk but whenever im able to get one of these S197's ill def. consider going with this setup unless i get bassani or corsa cuz those are also my top choices
Sounds really good! I've been thinking of going with a similar set-up. Have you dynoed your stang? I was curious to see what numbers these mods were putting out.
would the x pipes by its self sound the same on the mustang?.. and can you please send me all the links to the parts so i may order them.. really nice car btw!
Well, I live here in Canada. I bought the FRPP shorty headers & Stingers, Steeda CAI, and Magnaflow high flow cats here and the X-pipe from UPR Products in the States. So, with both currencies combined, I spent close to $1000 CDN not including labour.
In the new S197's, there is more room under the hood compared to the 99-04 models. Install was quite easy except when I had to tighten down the passenger side header bolts. I actually had to remove the battery and battery tray to make it a little easier. All in all though it wasn't that difficult. As for delete plates, "no" I don't have them.
thank you for the information, its a big help. I love ur exhaust setup and very nice car. I am stuck between doing shortys or long tubes. but right now i am in the mode to do long tubes and that will be a 1 day job just getting them in, with removing the starter motor, take out the steering shaft, and many other things. but i am waiting for this C & L intake manifold to come out before i do my mods because i hear this 2 peice cermaic manifold has built in charge motion plates.
how are those frpp shorty workinng out for u and how many hp did u gain and could u feal the difrence i have the jlt cai with 91 tune and frpp stingers and im planing on getting a pair me self i just wanted to get some info on some one that actually owens a pair are stainles steal?

Hey man I was wondering how much of a difference did the Magnaflow Catted X pipe make sound wise compared with the original stock cats? Thanks
sportmike24 1 year ago
@sportmike24
The Magnaflow metalic spun cats with my x pipe made a huge difference over the stock cats and h pipe.

@hepcat1966
I would say it's moderately louder than stock.

Keeper69s 2 years ago
"Drone" is a low bass like tone emitted by the exhaust at certain RPM's which to some, is very irritating. I personally love it!!
