  • Hello SecretsOfRecording,

I'm extremely frustrated with the way my audio sounds. I'm so focused on video and have neglected audio - which is a huge mistake. I want people to enjoy sound, but I just can't seem to balance and produce warm, balanced audio (like your excellent video). If it's not too much trouble, could you watch one of my videos where dialogue is present and let me know what the problem is?

More importantly can Pro Tools solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Yeah, I figured it all out now!! This is probably my favorite mixing technique!!!

  • dude....ur smart, i hope to know this much about PT8LE once i graduate!

  • i kno this might be of topic but, do u guys know how to make the pro-tools on screen follow the red-line.... i dont want to keep scrolling.... plz any1, msg me

  • thanks so much. extremely helpful :)

  • couldnt it be easier to just create a new track then jus drag the cut parts down to it and jus add the inserts there? just seems easier and quicker...

  • That is pro tools hd your using right? I don't think pro tools le has mute sends to even be able to do this technique though this is a helpful video.

  • @stacksondeck82 yeah it does

  • Thankyou very much! This was helpful...

  • it doesnt let me create a send to an unused bus. when I click on the spot in the video there is not option for an unused bus it only has plug in or i/o?

  • how do you even get to that window in 2:19? i cant create a send to a bus. Im just at the edit wondow all that other stuff aint even there

  • @reazun Go to View -->Edit Window Views --> Inserts A-E, check that and it will appear.

  • Thank you ur video and book have truely help me in my mixing sessions Post more videos.. How to make metalic voice like black eye peas Boom boom Boom Track.. Just add some more Vid Ok .... Thank you Jay-Crazie frm Kingston, Jamaica.

  • what's the song???

  • Great video. I was looking for a video to show how to add that delay effect without having an echo. Sort of like Akon uses in most of his songs. I was wondering if you could possibly show or tell me how I would do this in sonar le or cubase because I don't have pro tools. Thanks.

  • nice..it sucks that pro tools is that complicated just to make a delay though..ive used other programs and it was so much simpler

  • You know there's multiple way to make a delay on pro Tools right? It applies for all the other DAW's. It's basic signal flow. The quickest and most easiest way is to put a delay on the track. But the again that consumes more cpu power. So you create an aux and route the signals.

  • are you referring to using delay as an audio suite

like placing it directly on the track without sending to an aux

  • the problem with that is that it affects and changes the original track your putting it on, by using an aux the original track stays the same.

  • I just said that. I said create an aux track and route the signals. I know what the pros and cons are for create a delay or reverb in a certain way.

  • i gotta ge tpro tools, this is like the only thing i cant get presonus studio one to do without making a new audio track, but nice tutorial

  • Thanks for the vid! Very helpful, just what I was looking for !
