Hell no. DKC1 is in no way better. 2 has more stage, and more possibilities, as well as team attacks and even secret level. Also, 2 and 3 have post-game stories when you complete these secret levels.
I love all three of them but I think DKC1 is a little better. DKC3 is my least favorite because it omitted everything that made the other two great, like great graphics and music, and the style was too childish.
It's hard to choose between 1 and 2. 1 had better level design, I enjoyed every level, and better graphics (mainly backgrounds) while 2 had better music and Dixie Kong. I missed DK himself in the sequels and I didn't enjoy every level in DKC2.
Not really. While I like Stickerbush Symphony, I think the gameplay in DKC1 is better then the rest, though I like DKC3 as well. You can't beat an origional. At least in most cases.
Well, my statement is an overstatement, naturally. Of course there are more reasons why DKC2 is great, but for me, Stickerbush Symphony is one of my favorite parts of the game.
You know you're fast when you complete a level before the music starts. You almost did that in level 1.
Great game but I think DKC1 is a little better.

Dude, the music don't make the game... There quite a few games that have awesome music, but are crappy *cough*ffvii*cough*
