Thank you so much! My son and I fixed his 3gs and then got a blank screen; he thought I didn't have the #3 cable in far enough, but 1 had popped off so it was the LCD connection. Finally got it all together and working for $10 and a little time. :-)
@jagatx Nice job. Yep 99% of the time when people contact us after getting a screen blank or white after install it is one of the three cables not in all the way or connected.
I just replaced my screen but when I turn it on everything is white and I can barely see the outlines of things. Is this somethng I did wrong or do I have a defective screen? Thank you for the videos.
@k598k633k403 Check the 3 cables. It sounds like you do not have one of them install all the way into the connector or one came off one of the connectors.
I just got finished replacing my iPhone screen, using your video as my guide. It works perfectly now... I used a straight razor blade instead of a micro screwdriver and I used the toaster in my kitchen instead of a hairdryer :)
this helped alot, thanks, i fixed a speaker problem myself, i spilled cola on the phone and then somehow it survived but cloged up the speaker outlet. strangely also increased the speed of my phone (sounds weird i know) but it was exceptionally slow last few days. anyways thanks so much for uploading this video.
@Benjisince93 the digitizer..if u can see ur information clearly on the screen and the only thing that is cracked is the glass over the top of the lcd than its the digitizer

If the screen is cracked but its fully functional, what needs replacing?
thanks
Benjisince93 2 years ago
just the digitizer (touch panel), not the LCD

hmtrussl is correct. Goto DirectFix com and look at part number IP-2213 for the iPhone 3G.

Is it hard to put in the #3 cable in?
kelvin0112 2 years ago
It might take a couple tries to line up the cable but it is not that bad.
