@trident3b Nah, think about what happens mechanically.
Rpm is rpm, it is just spinning. The engine still has oil, if it is already warm, there is no thermal shock to the valves and such, and the rpms arent sustained, so it doesn't kill the timing belt/
My friend doesn't like it, and I don't care either way. Everyone has their preferences =)
jimmy im looking forwards on a e34 m60 high reving engine project. would you be kind enough to help me trough it? I dont really know where to start off
It sounds divine - I just wish I knew how to reprogram the ECU myself because I'd be fitting a supercharger to mine if I did - it's a 6 speed manual though, so I'd also need to budget for a new clutch every couple of weeks ;)
@ReeT0ric I actually did a clutch conversion on my superchrgd 540i,I used the clutch disc and pressure plate from an 850CSi 6 speed, and it grabs beautifully and has given me no problems in 9000 miles! I installed the supercharger myself and had a DINAN stage 2 software upgrade done, and it all works great!
this revving in standstill drives me bonkers... can't be good without a load, or?
