  • I may be way off the mark here, but I thought the funny little "surprise" in the film was that she was the delusional one, not him. I mean, she saw men staring at her all over and was constantly "scanning" crowds for threat. Finally, this poor schmuck comes along and BINGO! Now, all her fears are validated. Anyway....that's my take....but you know what they say about opinions, right?

  • that was entirely too long

  • Long, drawn-out development that culminated to an unsatisfying ending. Better luck next time.

  • strange, he is a bit like my x girlfriend.when i was with her i alway's had a strange felling i was being followed.after a few week's it turned out i was being the girl was terrrrrible jellous and stalked me when i went out alone....strange people

  • i don't get the point

  • please check your inbox

  • I honestly think that this guy is just having a really difficult time talking to a girl. He's following her because he wants to say something to her but can't get the words out. At least, I hope that's what he has on his mind.

  • The movie seems to be divided into 2 parts the lighter side which is his view as he is infatuated with her innocently, I don't think its love because he knows nothing about her, the second is her feeling of being stalked and the fear that brings. very good though

  • This was a great film, I enjoyed it and it left me thinking.

  • I feel sorry for the guy.

  • this takes way too long to bring these very, very, very few details together. This is classic over writing/filming. Learn the art of getting in late and leaving early, your audience has expectations, and if you don't deliver on them it should be because of invention, not some old warn out European notion of spanning time with a character. You could have been more effective, and made your points so much faster... this was a very challenging experience, just getting through it!

  • Sorry sir, won't do it again!

  • You'r being slightly pedantic there.

  • so my grandmother just imagined it when her father was arrested and sent to the camps?

  • I don't really get the bit at the end. Is there some special reason or twist to explain why she drops the knife? It's well-acted and produced but it just seems to be a short film about a guy who follows a woman around. But I usually miss the point in films the first time round.

  • Personally, I think its because she realised he was just as scared of her as she was of him.

  • thats what i thought, too. but then why would he stalk her....? the shots and all were great, it's just...in a way, for me, this was hard to follow. i enjoyed "missed" a lot more. but i still liked this one.

  • Perhaps he is infatuated with her but just cant sum up the courage to talk to her, and he is trapped in a situation where he is unable to talk but madly in love.

  • maybe.... that's weird though, how that works; you're madly in love but cant say a word. the mysteries of life that no one will ever be able to solve.

  • Yeah man. Love sucks xD

  • haha you aint kidding ;)

  • this is why...exactly why, when you see a beautiful women on the street, a club ,a small, anywhere, go up to her and say "hi"... who cares what the outcome is, atlest you had the balls to talk to her, and not regret it like this dude...loved the film...

  • Excuse me 'Commenter722;' you need to get your facts right :/

  • is this a re-enactment of how all these laptops with private information on keep getting lost? does the guy work for the british government?

  • i was goin to comment on the video but the fact that you two are chatting to each other over youtube is sader than the idea that guy turned stalker for a ginger

  • Did she realise he didn't wanna hurt her when he ran away? Or did she realise he loved her? Or perhaps just that he was more scared of her than she was scared of him.

  • boring

  • He looks like the love child of Vic Reeves and Ant from Ant and Dec.

  • I presume that he ran because forgotten your Playstation 3 on.

  • omg i love this because it makes me feel smart and artsy when i watch it :D

though i must admitt towards the end it waqs wondering if she was gonna stab him through the letter box :O

  • crap

  • I really liked this, it was very well done with the timing and the shots were practically perfect.

A success, and it deserved to be featured.

  • Yeah, that's why the description is 'glamorous'.

  • had to see the ending.

  • don't you get it he's actually peter parker and shes MJ

  • Finally, someone who really understands my film!

  • Was that right? i was expecting some one to reply in a LOL type statement...

  • Of course I'm joking, but I hadn't noticed the similarity. Someone else thought they were a different take on Mulder & Scully.

  • What the hell was the point of that???

  • strange.....

  • I actually quite enjoyed that!

  • why have i just wasted 11 minuites of my life watching that ?

  • this reminds me of a greek guy i met at a bar. he was trying to chat me up but i personally dont go for guys with curly/permed hair cuz they look like women to me. the next FEW days he kept bumping into me which was odd. i saw him at the bus stop and he was trying to c wot bus i took home. it pist me off so i went up to him to tell him to f*ck off and mobile camered him for the police.

  • haha nice story...bet you wouldn't have told me to f*ck off ;)

  • why? u have straight hair, short back n sides?

  • no, because girls with stories like those love guys like me...

  • u wish. i only love guys called dave

  • All the Dave's in this world must keep you pretty busy pretty.

  • no just one dave. dont feel jealous but my dave exhaust the hell out of me...boy does he work hard at it

  • you sure you wouldn't rather watch slumdog millionaire with me??

  • unless you are danny boyle or dev patel then no cuz i already seen it and it was fantastico. havent seen the wrestler but will do with my man

  • it was so great i thought we could watch it again, if not then the curious tale of benjamin button will suffice. Don't worry i'll show you how a true man behaves by buying the ticket, snacks and meal for you.

  • ur funny dude. nice to offer but my guy's a sweetie and he probly kik yr ass haha.

anyway, wots benjamin button about? sounds like a mouse from a fairytale. is it better than slumdog?

  • yes, benjamin button is thoroughly worth watching - not better than slumdog but it will be in IMDB's top 250.

You may not have noticed, but the real reason you're talking to me is because Dave is Dave - plain and boring, you know i'd be much more than that...

  • i talk to anyone and everyone n my guy knows it. its called girl power haha. he knws he can only dominate me in the bedroom. dude yr avoiding the subject of films. have you uploaded vids on the tube? who do you think is better ridley scott or danny boyle? let you think about it until next time cuz i got work to finish off.

  • i love films so much i think we should continue this conversation on msn...

  • i'm sure you have curly permed hair..with highlights, and probably the guy in this vid so have to say no.

you havent even answered my question so i dont think you really like film

  • my fav. film of all time is the shawshank redemption.

the main reasons i like slumdog were that it introduces a completely different culture and way of living to British/American people (India is a dog-eat-dog world and you have to be ruthless and clever to survive), secondly it shows true love - a boy who nearly ten years later still wants to be with the same girl; unlike people nowadays who like to be with someone one week and then find a different partner in another week.

  • what do you think of brokeback mountain?

  • i am assuming that since ur asking me u liked it - i thought it was good, the characters and their emotions were expressed very well, and the story of the consequences of a love that would be disapproved involved the viewer to the extent that the viewer would sympathise with the men at the end of the movie...what did u think of it? any other films u wanna discuss?

  • yes. leni riefenstahl is she the mother of modern film or nazi sympathiser?

  • I would veer towards mother of modern film for two reasons:

    1. Following the NSDAP for the majority of Germans was not a choice, it was a necessity to ensure they were not prosecuted. People who supported oppoisition parties were often tortured, imprisoned and murdered - family members would report their relatives for questioning Hitler's policy and actions, so an artist going about their job under the regime of a politicaal party should not be seen as supporting that party.

  • 2. Nationalism was expressed in German culture through music, art and film so someone highlighting the perils/successes of their nation via art was seen as normal - thus Riefenstahl cannot be accused of being a Nazi sympathiser at a time where the German public enjoyed going to the cinema to watch films and news reports.

  • so, do you think hollywood has unfairly shunned leni? what is art if an artist is not allowed to express themselves the way they want to.

  • your point there is excellent - leni expressed German attitudes and Nazi expectations and was punished for it. People didn't overreact to the Nazi regime, but they did to her involvement in Nazi propaganda.

  • so would you say triumph of the will should be commended and officially recognised as an important contribution to the history of film making and colleges/universities etc shud teach this to its students?

  • dont get me wrong i think hitler was an asshole. he did murder a lot of innocent people, but shud we just look at things just one sided?

  • triumph of the will should definately be analysed and discussed at all good universities/colleges because of the fact that history students should be able to look at both sides for and against and argument and come to their own conclusion on whats wrong and right based on their personal viewpoint.

To look at Hitler you have to consider WHY he killed the Jews and why he believed in the volksgemeinschaft - it was unique and something people could, over time, warm to.

  • do you think hollywood or film critics will ever honour leni riefenstahl's artistic film making? if not then isnt everything we learn about film making a load of bollocks. should film makers strive for creativity or just follow what is already laid down by the film industry or hollywood otherwise they wont get acknowledged. should film makers really care about what hollywood says and be dictated by them?

  • critics enjoy overreacting to artists with a bit of controversy, but i strongly believe that film maker should be as creative as possible - 60% of the world nations are democratic for a reason, film makers can use this freedom to do what they want - after all it is the creativity that can lead to a success to the level of Hitchcock and Kubrick who are now regarded as being amongst the best directors of all time.

  • If all film makers really cared about Hollywood then SM would not have been anywhere near as good as it was, and Danny Boyle wouldn't be the most talked about director right now.

  • p.s sorry for the late reply i had a lot of work at uni!

  • No one cares.

  • and why not? i am very very very upset

  • Live with it. Humanity cares not for the weak, the attention seeking.

Protip: Stop acting like a pussy, turn any "hurting" you have into anger against the REAL causes, IE bosses and bullies, then give more feedback. I'd like to give some advice when I'm sober( in about 12 hours), so feel free to message me. I'm not a total nazi, and I'm messed up in my own ways, sharing often helps (Y)

  • interesting

  • guyducker reminds me of david brent from the office- on here getting all personal and defending his video around the clock, it's hilarious.

  • this is very good story 5 stars

  • Where can I find some out of work actors? I want to make a movie too.

  • The best online resources in the UK are probably Casting Call Pro and Shooting People Casting Network.

  • wotever you do dont pay to go on a film course at your college it is a total waste of time and money. speilberg, guy ritchie and many others didnt. scorcese did but he just wanted access to equipment. if you want to do this find a place that has more than 1 camera and 1 PC. shooting people is gud

  • wtf

  • well... it was kinda... 'interesting' to watch... i guess.

  • Geez you guys think that this was pretentious? You havent seen much 'video art' have you?

I also wonder how much actual film making these commentors have ever done or they'd see that actually its a technically very well made film and not 'creating art out

of shite'. To me it just lacked a real focus plotwise and nothing all that interesting seemed to happen, there was a little build up when she pulled the knife but that led nowhere.

Not shite, just a little..er pointless

  • Bloody hell that was dull, how many cliches do you want to fit into 12 minutes. Also note jazz music doesnt always add depth to a film.

  • Time to seek- you re a feckin genius :) couldn't have put it better if i tried.

    as Terry Tibbs would say

    WADAFACKWOZALLTHATABAAAT!!?!?!

  • hey that place is near my house

  • Oh my fucking god. I have just wasted nearly 12 minutes of my life.

    THAT WAS FUCKING SHITE

  • in reply to 'maximo' (I thnik)! I was waitin for a 'payoff'. you know a twist.(hence watchin it to the death) as opposed to a Fuck All endin.. It was a 'nice' little bit of editing! but from the youtube push I expected better! Thanx for your advice and in future I will look at walls. love and kisses. vin

  • w.T.F..it reminds me of when i visited manchester art gallery..beutifull paintings on the walls that took years to paint ,some over 500yrs old..then i went to the modern art gallery next door,,and found coke cans piled on top of each other with onlookers showing admiration..this vid is those coke cans..uterly pathetic attempt at creating art out

of shite..on a par with damian.talentless rice wharhole bollocks fashion,,nonsense tempory evolution BLIP..WHY DONT YOU ALL FUCK OFF.

  • i appologise,,its fab, and so educational..and positive,,and meaningfull..and relivent..and it leaves the viewer with a sense of optamism..go on you turd point out i cant spell perfectly.,,,this is punishment...EYE FOR AN EYE..FORGIVE US FOR WE KNOW NOT WHAT WE DO..YOU STALKIN UTUBE WITH THIS FUCKIN SHITE CREATION...

  • interesting film, i like how it ends as that is usually the case they build up their victim so high on a pedestal that even they cant reach them even if the victim allowed them to. also creepy in a way .

  • Typical stalkers, usually loners, or feeling alone at the current time, will begin to stalk a person for a period of time but when given the chance to interact with their obsessed... prey, for lack of better terms, will turn tail and run out of fear of being discovered, or what the person will think.

  • this guy make london look boring. the jazz made me sleep i wake up when he was stalking the gal who wear the same jacket on the tube to Shepherd bush

  • London is boring

  • what was that?!!!!

  • aaotn camera i see, how come you chose that cam and not somthing like the arri sr3 more suted to this type of filming?

I like this little short. it's fustrating how so mainy ppl like things spoon fed to them and don't get anything that dosn't use the hollywood system of filmaking. I guess there brain cells just can't cope with thinking about what there whatching. still it's not all in vain there are ppl who get it.

  • I like being spoon fed, and since your so smart please explain what this story is about? 10th minute he just runs away after all that stalking lolumz.

  • He is gonna be in for a shock like they say rusty roof, Stinking cellar

  • please could someone refund me those last twelve minutes of my life!!

  • Didn't realize after the 10th minute that you weren't actually enjoying the video? Seriously, nobody was forcing you to watch it, you simply could have stopped.

It's like complaining you just wasted an entire day staring at a wall. It's your own bloody fault.

  • Certainly, if you just give me all your bank details...

  • womans not fit enough. Video is trying to be too clever as well, its been done in a million student film projects.

  • haha wise words :) 'woman is not fit enough' haha

  • she's still fit and a red head which is always good but i wouldn't call her a glamourous business woman they're usually WELL hot.

  • agreed

  • wtf>>>???? -_-? umm.. was it meant to be a music video or something???..! If it was for the music, should have made it more intresting, like she meet up with freinds or soemthing!! boring really :(

  • 4.50 - fantastic shot. I love the way their interaction is soley through figure expression, and how at the end you're almost tricked into thinking he's lef ther alone. The only speech in the film "Come in" is so well timed with the music. I think it's very good, but deserves a better ending, surley the character wouldn't give it all up like that?

  • to be honest, i cant agree. this was boring, drawn out and uninteresting. i tried to watch it all but couldn't bring myself to waste that much time.

  • should of went in !!

  • very nice- great acting, great filming. nice story line. 11 minutes passed by very quickly!

  • Dull and uninspired.

This film left me cold and made no impact.

Even a few minutes after I have finished viewing it I struggle to recall what it was about. It looks as if you had good access and average performances, unfortunately Delusion lacks any flair or sign of a decent script. Not one for the waning British film industry to be proud of. Sadly.

  • He looks abit like alan carr

  • what are you arty farty fuckers on about- i cant understand what you hi iq types r like except fucking boring

  • i like the fact you admited your stupid and got the saying "Artsy Farst" wrong whilst also missing the point of the peice...

  • Aww, I'm sorry!

  • psycho.

  • nice...but is it old? the clothes look from the 90's and that mobile too...

  • and the disk he uses when he is in his office. I think its late 90's.

  • haha yeah it's all USB drives nowadays ;)

  • looks good

  • i am giving away myu ps3 wantit message me

  • wow how old is this? It looks like it's from like early 2000's (fashion and then the really old school mobile haha)

hmm.. not sure if I like it, some of it seemed a bit rushed.

  • he looks a bit like a young micheal keaton.

  • Some of the plot was a little rushed, as in the character's shift from innocuous office worker to a rather sinister stalker.

I like the setting of the train station as a seemingly metaphorical transitory setting. It emphasises that a missed moment or opportunity can affect us in quite significant ways.

Also, I enjoyed the silence. It was at some times slightly unconvincing but overall it added to the final effect of the first verbal interaction which allowed the stalker to realise his actions

  • this is the kind of thing that is given grants from the national lottery, instead of spending it on building new hospitals etc.

  • Yeah power to you brother. All art must die untill we get more hospitals. Suspend television! Stop the press! Abandon overseas aid work! We need a damn hospital here! When will we learn!

  • this is art?

  • Art doesn't have to be liked by everyone. Just because you don't like a 'piece' doesn't stop it from being art.

Music is art, film is art, literature, sculpture etc

Art is a subjective process. We 'the onlookers' view it objectively and form opininons (sometimes to the point where we are inspired into subjectivity).

I didn't particularly think this was a brilliant piece but I gave constructive feedback. It's easy to throw shit.

It's even easier to make a fatuous 'soap box' remark.

  • Well its not observable, repeatable sound science.....

  • I can confirm that it didn't get any National Lottery funding.

  • what a geek.

  • this isnt 10 years old! reminds me of Mr Bean for some reason.....no offense

  • is it the music?

  • this must be extremely old if they still had floppy disks.

i think, at best, this is average in terms of the plot. the camerawork was good though.

  • in the tags you cant spell independent

  • could have been alot better and was expecting some thing more at the end!!!!

but any ways was pretty gud and kept me watching!

  • He reminded me of alan carr at the beginning :L rofl

  • 11 very long minutes of total bollox!

  • The camera work was amazing, but I didn't like the characters.

I thought the story was a good idea, but moved a little too slowly in the first half and the build up in the second sort of led to nothing.

I'm not saying she should have gone psycho on his ass with the knife, but it was just a bit of an anti-climax.

But I loved the artistic camera work and music! That was some really professional shooting!

  • floppy disks, smoking indoors?must be olddd

  • I liked it, it kept me watching.

  • Dull.

  • Nice to look at, good location filming, lovely soundtrack, competent editing, but poor story and development, I really didn't care for either character.

Have you seen Spin, also on YouTube, now that's how to make the perfect short!

Nice to see John Leeson though, are you a Dr Who fan? :)

    Good luck with future projects!

  • To me the lead up to the ending you chose was too long.

It looked good, editing and acting etc. but it was just too long for that ending.

  • offcie workers get shot u get me

  • 'Fraid you've lost me there, old chap!

  • most office workers are battymanz blud

  • Sorry - I hadn't realised! Surely that should be "battymen"?

  • Are you some kind of Uber-chav or what?

  • chavmeister

  • fagmeister

  • ignore the comments from the short attention spanned youtubers used to one minutes twenty second videos full of "Lols", this is brilliant.

    i love it.

  • I enjoyed this, but then I've always had a soft spot for films which showcase London's scenery. I love trying to recognise the locations. It was interesting to be reminded what Liverpool St station looked like before the last refurbishment.

Good performances from the actors, specially the man who conveyed a complex set of emotions without speaking. And I loved how you chose a graceful, statuesque woman rather than a stereotypical "good-looker". Somehow it made the man's obsession more real.

  • Christ, did we leave that shot in the trailer?!

  • brilliant i loved the bit where the guy kills the security guards all gun blazing while ralleling down 15 stories :-S

  • lol .. leaving his bag at the train station - must be a civil servant - cleverly executed though and very well directed - I had a telephone pest once, but he stopped calling once I started chatting to him, so this approach to stalkers probably works.

    Well done.

  • it was a good film, but the ending was lame to be honest. Anyway i felt uncomfortable watching this, because of the grim seady atmosphere. if it had a compelling ending then it would be a 5/5 =)

  • Floppy disks? When was this made?

  • Back in 2000.

  • 1. The whole thing is too long/boring.

    2. That girl is good looking in a plain way but she is not "Glamourous"

    3. Nothing happened at the end. I was waiting for a twist but the twist is it stayed boring right till the last moments.

On the whole not very impressed, Arty camera work and disolving shots don't make up for a basic lack of any good idea. I'm surprised you got the funding to finish it.

If you want then I'd be happy to tell you ten things that could have made it better.

  • Can I hav my time back please?

  • prety good wouldnt recomend watching it but its all-right bit long

  • wat a waste of time, shes not even got "that something" about her, and his mobile phone is sick

  • This was crap, like some extended womens deodorant ad but with a more lacklustre ending. The biggest delusion about this is that the person who did it thinks its actually worth watching.
