  • just got one of these, worst piece of shit ever, wont go forward, cant hover with steady throttle input, waste of fuckin money!!!!!!!!!

  • heloo can you explain how to change remote control unit in helicopter

  • @rohitha600 If you get a new one, make sure it is the same mHz.

  • Hi Mate,

One more thing could you explain the battery connectors. Is it the JST-XH connectors I require on a new battery want to keep it the same and not fart around changing over to the deans connector ,but in saying that would the Lipo battery burn out the the JST plug?

  • @ajwgtnz They are standard JST plugs, they can handle the power from a lipo battery and won't burn out.

  • Great video and very helpful - after about 10 flights my 9101 lost all power and the blades only moved about a quarter turn. I followed your video and upgraded to a Genesis 40C 2200 mAh battery - fully charged I was looking forward to flying it but the blades still just turn about a quarter turn!!! I have new batteries in the transmitter. . . any ideas??? Is it a receiver problem?? Please help.

  • @ThePerkipro Look for a loose connection. Cant say for sure but probably is a bad receiver, I think you can get them on ebay for about $10 - $15.

  • @hammydude12345 All connections look good - the LED light on the receiver flashes, pauses, flashes, pauses etc - is this the sign of a problem? How can I be sure it's the receiver before I do major surgery? Should I try touching connections on the circuit board with a soldering iron?

  • Thank you very much for your video. My helicopter only flies backwards, even if the forward/backward joystick is all the way up. The most i can get it to do is stand still. I hope the modeling clay will solve my issue. I have one question though: Why is my helicopter always swaying to the side? Mainly to the left. I don't mean like spinning to the left but moving parallel to the X axis? I would appreciate it very much if you could help me. Thank you in advance.

  • @teratonexplosion I assume your heli is a 3 channel so there is no control of lateral movement. Is it a coaxial? If the shaft to the blades is bent that can cause it to sway. Did it always move to the left? Good luck...

  • @hammydude12345 Thanks for your reply. Yes, 3ch coaxial DH 9101. Yes it always moves to the left.. The balance bar is all straight, no bends. I guess the problem is the cheap quality.

  • @teratonexplosion Try putting some weight on the right skid this may help.

  • @hammydude12345 >>>I have a DH 9101 wanting to know how to improve fwd momentum how much weight do I need to add to the front end of the craft? Also have tried the reverse lower blade shaft, but it looks like it will strike the canopy is there anyway to overcome this? I've tried adding weights on top of the battery but it ended up snapping the lower fan clip.

  • @ajwgtnz Try a half ounce (14 grams) in the nose of the canapy to start. I don't have a 9101 but I think the blades are farther apart than in the 9053, unless your blades hit each other your won't need to reverse the lower blade grip.

  • @hammydude12345 Cheers mate.....will try that and see what happens.

  • Thanks Mate, I Have Revell's Version Called The Big One. Its exactly the same Unit But Made from Revell. I had some battery Questions but you just fixed that....lol! Thanks for that.

  • Damn soo confusing mine seems to be charging but its not grr

  • @hammydude12345 Ok but how.......

  • @hammydude12345 How to you change the JST connector inside the heli? my battery died out and i cant find a new 1 anywhere.

  • @burgna If you want to use a more standard connector like a Deans connector you will have to solder the wires on.

  • Hi , my wife give me has a christmas gift a RC Hero h853. It's also a Volitation. The problem that i am having is that the Main Blade B the lower one is not spinning at the same speed like the one at the top. When i test it and i lower completly the power stop faster. I think that the motor is stuck o something like that. I will be very greatful if you can hel me.

  • what if th back blade wonte spin pleas help

  • what kind of lipo battery use these heli and whats the life of battery

  • I am using a 9104 and thinking about the purchase of a 9101. I've been unable to find more specifics as to what I'm looking for in a battery upgrade in these types of helis. Is it possible to find one with the correct connectors already attached? Where? A direct link would be great.A certain size that will fit in the stock housing? What cap. volts or amps? How do I find a charger which pairs properly? Is it user-friendly to charge these lipo batteries (an indicator) or Will stock charger work?

  • @mrrobvs You should use 7.4 volt lipo batteries. These helis use JST type connectors, you can find batteries with these connectors already attached, but I have switched to Deans connectors. To fit the housing measure the stock battery and look for an upgrade that is the same size or use velcro to fit the battery below the canopy. Any 7.4v lipo charger will work.

  • @hammydude12345 Great. Thanks. Would you recommend any particular mah? A hobby shop that sells these things recommending not using lipos because the "board can't handle it." I guess you would disagree?

  • @mrrobvs They are wrong, lipo batteries are best. The higher the mAh the longer the flight, but the battery will weigh more.

  • @hammydude12345 Need an expert here. I use the 9104 helicopter. It has a 1300mah 7.4v lithium ION battery. I'm looking for a charger, because I find the enclosed charging block to be a piece of junk. Hobby shop wanted to sell me 90 dollar item that charges everything. I look on ebay and see products that say they are for L-ion batteries but they have L-IPO printed on them. Contradictory descriptions everywhere. Exact model of cheap charger please, one with correct end?

  • @mrrobvs @fastcar7712 On ebay search for 7.4v 11.1v LiPo RC Battery Balance Charger 2s 3s 3-Cell. These are good chargers for less than $10.

  • @hammydude12345 I believe you're pointing me to a LI-PO charger, not a LI-ON charger. Is this not a problem?

  • @mrrobvs Lipo and Li-ion chargers are the same.

  • @hammydude12345 Nevermind, I see that it also says "LI-ON" on the item itself. Is there some sort of setting on these things to make sure you're not pumping too much juice? Also, how do the lights work on these things? The "directions" printed on the item, indicating how the lights work- appear to be written in Chinglish.

  • @mrrobvs No, if you use a 7.4v lipo it won't produce too much power. The lights are LEDs.

  • @hammydude12345 Okay...last question I promise. The model you pointed me to says the output is 800mah. The battery is 1300mah. Will this produce only a partial charge? Is it inadequate?

  • Where do u get lithium battery?

  • Please help if the remote control won't work ?. What is wrong with remote control ?.

    Thanks

  • @khonglap Can't tell, it could be the transmitter or receiver.

  • Where can i get a battery and a charger that you mentioned? like the ones you got

  • @Demon11775 I bought them on Ebay.

  • and also do you no were i can find a camera to go on the helicopter

  • @iamgeorgiaman I've not used a camera on this heli, but there are loads on the web. I suggest you add some weight to see how much your heli can lift, then find a camera that weighs less.

  • can you make a video on how to replace a snapped off fan clip on a 9101 i crashed mine and the little black piece that holds on the bottom fan broke off pleas make a video on how to fix it.

  • wat do you do if the bottom blades dont move but the top do.PLEASE HELP!!!!

  • @brickman9876 Take off the canopy and see if the motor towards the back is running. If not, then the motor is probably burned out or you have a loose connection.

  • i have a 9053 helicopter.red light on circuit board is very dim.helicopter not working.only this working is the front light and tail light.controller is working.please help.email me at crazzy0071@hotmail.com.thanks

  • @biggs374 It could be many things. Are you sure your battery is charged? Else it could be bad receiver, poor connection etc.

  • Purchased a 9101, I used the trim slides to obtain a neutral trim but the helicopter still seems to, in flight, bear backwards and rotate slightly. Do you have any suggestions or videos you know about that I need to look at to fix this? I thought that a slight relocation of the tail fin might assist this. Yes/No? Thanks in advance :)

  • @Rogga209 Please watch "Double horse 9100 RC helicopter review and modifications" for more information. The transmitter has both a slide control and knob control (on right side) that should help with the rotation problem.

  • @hammydude12345 okay cool thanks for the help mate

  • @Rogga209 My pleasure!

  • Hi. I have an RC helicopter (which I got for Christmas and I don't have the guts to return it) whose blades won't spin at all! It is co-axial, and I have flown it no more than 3 times with no crash. I'm sure it isn't a dead battery because it's fully charged and turns on easily (Lights start blinking normally), and I tried to activate the gyros by letting it sit for 5 seconds, but it doesn't work. I went through the troubleshooting manual but it doesn't work. Can you help me?

  • hi my heli wont charge and i have only used it 3 times i left it there for a while and still no charge. it will turn on rev up then suddenly stop. could you please tell me what you think the problem would be ? thank you

  • @Kryptosuras Hard to say. My guess is that your battery or the battery charger is bad.

  • HELP.....I just purchased the 5093 and it drifts to the left, what is the problem? I tried weights on other side (2 AAA BATTERIES) which helped. But it still wants to fall over to the left side.

  • @simmons527 I have no idea. My 9053 is rock stable. I would try more weight on the right side.

  • Do you have any videos on how to replace the battery? I got a new battery but the plugs are a different size.

  • @AceMcSpade Sorry, I don't have a video on how to solder. But it's not hard treat the surfaces with acid flux and I bet you'll be successful.

  • when i push up on the left control stick the blades spin for about a quarter of a second and then cuts out. I've had it for a week and and had about 7 sessions with it. Your video makes me think it could be a battery issue.

  • i have a similar helicopter the black widow. looks just like yours. mine keeps cutting out of power after like 5 seconds, it gets up in the air a little and comes right down. it powers right back up and cuts right back out. any ideas. i have fresh batteries and have charged it.

  • @dougschif Did it ever fly okay? My guess is that the receiver is bad.

  • @dougschif My hello just started doing that and now won't power up at all with either of the two batteries i I have. led's don't even come on so I think my reiver is shot.

  • @freediverga If LEDs don't come on it is either a connection, the on-off switch or your receiver.

  • @hammydude12345 I traced all the wires coming from the battery and switch and found a really loose wire from the switch that was from poor soldering job. I'm going to pick up a solding iron tomorrow. I'm going to do some practice runs on some scrap wire. I have some new mods for you Super Cub coming up so I'm going to need to the practice.

  • @freediverga Good luck, if you can't solder the wire back on you can simply disconnect the other wire and twist the ends together with some tape for insulation. Plugging in the battery will work ok as an on-off switch.

  • so what type of connector does the volitation need for batteries? i can't seem to find the battery you show.. what is it called?

  • @GamerKing112 I recommend using Dean connectors. I use lipo batteries, 7.4v from 1800 mAh to 2200mAh.

  • I have the same thing

  • Thanks for the video I got my velo fixed

  • @sinaland You're welcome, glad it helped!

  • I don't know what kind of helicopter you have, but many have screws you can loosen, move the motor over, then re-tighten.

  • My helicopter's Front moter's brass gear is not touching the Gear to turn my main blade.

  • Great video, very clear.

  • Awsome thanks for the vid. Got a d.h. 9101

  • This video was very helpful it gave me the idea to use crazy glue on the lower blade grip to the hollow shaft because I stripped the screws he was talking about @1:25 into the video.Oh yeah the crazy glue worked like a charm.

  • @kdabiznessman Thanks for the comment, that is a great suggestion.

  • @hammydude12345 hey ou the the charger is a lithium-ion and the battery is a li-po will that stuff up or not

  • and will it cause im getting a li-po battery and i have a li-ion charger plz plz i need to know thankyou so much

  • @callofdutyfreak39 The charges for li-ion and li-po are the same. Is your battery weak? If so get another lipo battery and that will probably fix it.

  • @hammydude12345 ok i ordered a 1500 mah li-po battery for my 9097 the 9097 is still an awesome heli wothout it but i want more power cause im greedy lol the 9097 is like the 9053 basically onlt thing deifferent is size plus i got a 9100 but it doesnt get signal why

  • can we replace the battery with an alkaline 9 volt

bateries and is that idea is save

    please reply

  • with the new battery was there any modifications you have to do to the connectors that connect the battery to the heli or the charger? Or are the connectors pretty much universal?

  • @mikelutz32 No, there are lots of different connectors. I like to use Deans type connectors.

  • this was really a very helpful video!

  • @MobileMediaProducts Glad you found it helpful, it took me a long time to figure these things out...
