  • The intro sounds like a classical version of questions by Manfred Mann

  • @MrOctopus16

I WAS JUST GOING TO WRITE THAT!!!

so good to see a fellow Manfred Mann fan :)

  • Πρέπει να είναι του F.SCHUBERT !

  • Πρέπει να είναι του F.SCHUBERT .

  • I love this piece and the wierdness the pianist adds to this already elitist society.

  • I can play this with my two hands and my dick...

  • MIDI?

  • People who have 12 fingers are called "polydactyl". Believe it or not, it is a dominant trait.

  • @GeorgieGirl1313 but the way to get it is something undisired

  • The first part 0:00-0:16 reminds me of a different classical piece but I cant name it. So desperate to know.

  • @Bawadari Franz Schubert's "Impromptu in G-flat Major, Op. 90, No. 3

  • @Bawadari could be Love's Dream by Franz Liszt? ; )

  • 12 fingers? creepy...

  • @fightinside1 Not so much. It's actually the dominant allele in humans. It's just that there are so many recessives out there that the effect is drowned out.

  • This song was actually played by 2 pianists for the movie Gattaca, so you probably couldn't even play it with 12 fingers!

  • How would a piece with 4 arms/20 fingers sound? Nocturne in the Moonlight: Cursed Prison anyone?

  • its very possible to play with 10 fingers

  • "Twelve fingers or one, it's how you play."

    -

"That piece can only be played with twelve."

  • does this really have to be played with 12 fingers??

if it does... then does the person who actually played this piece... have TWELVE working fingers??

    ..... thats cool :)

  • @aprilbernabe it could've been two people :P

  • i don't think it really matters if the plus 2 fingers help or not; it's just a symbol of a new gene-mutated generation of musicians. Why do 95% of people on youtube have to find things to prove the mistakes of great things? Yes, everything has fucking mistakes, but guys, get a life and create your own Gattaca, and develop yourselves to play it with your great plus idontknowhowmany IQ-points. Kisses

  • what a complete nonsense to add random notes to this masterpiece, haha . This can''t be serious... must have been because of copyright issues ?

  • @RemovdSande11

i think the idea of having a 12 fingered character overcame the audacity of changing an original pieace :) but they both sound great in their own way, i feel

  • heavenly music !

  • spiritaway5177 is right. If you studied Schubert's Impromptu 90/3, you can tell this is clearly a 3-hander. It's basically schubert's impromptu chopped in half, then tack on a 4th melody a couple octaves above the main RH melody. An extra 2 fingers are not gonna help anyone here, you'll need another person for it.

  • did they really have some 12 fingered guy play this? cause that's awesome

  • @Hapcelion yes they did hapcelion, yes they DID.

  • can i down;oad this anywhere? cant fing it

  • @hhoollaa999 just go to videomp3.net and copy the url..:)

  • Wouldn't it be cool if someone would play the "10-fingered version" (haha) and just have an accompanist do the 2 other fingers' parts? That would be awesome

  • flatfoot!!

  • i just spent hours looking for this sheet music. i guess this version was never made to the public er something... er never put down. damn... what i wouldnt give to have the sheet music for this. maybe i could just learn the Schubert version and figure out the extra notes in the 12 finger. grr too much work. but hella worth it

  • I think you need another hand to play this version, not another pair of fingers... I play this Schubert piece with 10 fingers, but the additional notes here are just impossible with just 2 more fingers. Unless you're Liszt, or you're 12 fingers can stretch like mad.

  • too amazing!!

  • This version forver reminds me of Jude Law yelling "I'm getting off this ball of dirt!"

  • @xlweapons "HOW DARE YOU QUESTION ME? WHAT'S YOUR NUMBA? WHAT'S YOUR NUMBA!?"

  • @naruto4ever66 that quote fit the movie pretty good indeed...i've seen the movie now for the sixth or seventh time, and its always a top notch of entertainment

  • I'd like to bet either Liszt or Rach could have had a go at playing this version. :P

  • This piece is no match for my 2 finger chopstick piece.

  • @skiie

    that made me lol

  • this is really pretty

  • beautiful music and beautiful irony for a 12 finger impromptu, which was obviously played by someone with 10 fingers, perhaps 2 people.... I'm not a pianist. But this is remarkable, and gattaca incredible

  • its 2 people. i play this piece, and its impossible to play those high parts with only 10 fingers haha.

  • spiritaway5177 is right, one more finger on every hand wouldn't be enough for sure.

  • no it wouldn't, there are 2 pianists playing this, one playing the original composition by schubert, and someone playing with 2 fingers high bits over the top.

  • I'm pretty sure you need another hand, not two more fingers. It's busy enough playing Schubert's original.

  • Its not possible with 10, I tried it. But then I taped 2 sausages to my hands to simulate fingers, and I could play it fine.

  • ahhahahaha

  • "Effects were added in digitally to simulate fingers 11 and 12. I don't think its possible to actually play this version." by AlternativeUses. but u should try it.

  • bet i could play it without 12 lol

  • no you couldn't ok, its impossible, the original by schubert requires all 10

  • so beautiful
