@RicTic66 No, the French lyrics are not a literal translation. in fact the French lyrics (transcribed in part by "stalkyboy" above) are almost directly opposite in spirit to the original English lyrics. Here's the beginning of an English translation:

Je me souviens d'un voyage Paris-Nice au départ du Bourget ... Roissy n'était alors qu'un champs de patates ravagé par les bulldozers ... en compagnie de ce groupe super sympatique. L'avion, (un DC10) avait 2 heures de retard et ils nous ont offert un concert totalement improvisé dans le hall de l'aérogare.

C'etait hier, c'était en 1967 !

J'ai gardé en souvenir la carte d'embarquement avec les autographes ...

It's on Wiki. Just look up 'I Only Want to Be with You.' Originally sung by Dusty Springfield, 1963. Been covered by many bands since, and some covers are on here, on Youtube. One is in Japanese (partly)! There's a cool one by Annie Lennox (I made it a favorite so if you can find it there)
