one of them isn't child abuse at 0:32, those red marks are made by 'gua sha', it's a practice of chinese medicine where a jade or ox-bone tool is scraped across the skin in these distributions to improve circulation. I've had it done to me before. DOES NOT HURT. Looks bloody awful, but trust me, this kind of appearance is definitely not due to a beating. So if you see an asian child with these marks, don't call the police for christ's sake!

I will NEVER understand how anyone can do such a horrific thing, and abuse a precious child. I was never able to have children, I would give anything to have a child. If only the parents that are doing this to their child, would give them to parents like me, this would never happen! One of the main reasons that I chose to become a lawyer is because I want to adopt a child and raise him or her as my own. Another reason is to put the monsters in prison that do this evil crime.

I remember when I was 12 years old they showed us photos of abused children in my HOme Economics class and it was a true eye opener for me. From there, I started taking interest in doing what I can to help victims and to even get the message across myself.

Today's abused children will often (not always) become tomorrow's abusers. Worked with county child abuse & neglect cases for years. Just an assistant (not an atty. or social worker). The idea was the ones we knew about were being helped, it was the ones we did not know about that worried us. This work destroys the people in it, either cracks you up or numbs you. I used to hear that society would often feel bad for a physically abused child, one who wore the bruises on the outside. But what about mentally abused children like me? Mentally and sexually. Even though my sexual abuse happened over 20 years ago, nothing was ever resolved. My mother is still married to that monster. He is a well-functioning adult in society, while I am a complete mental case. I have panic disorder and clinical depression. Still I am all alone because no one knows how to help.

Sexual, emotional, mental, verbal, and psychological abuse can be just as damaging, if not more, because the scars never heal. And sexual abuse can oftentimes be hard to prove because children are sometimes coached into saying things they know aren't true, or even pressured. And what you see physically may not always be what it seems. I know, because my dad used to molest me, and now he's just an oppressive, emotionally abusive control freak. NEVER hurt a child. I worked with this at county for years just as an assistant, not atty or social worker. If you can becomes friends with someone at the social services dept. that might help. It is sneaky, but might work. If you can get their name and find out what church they go to, just get contact somehow.
