  • This is dynamite! How did you come by this material?

  • awesome

  • Original footage is on 8mm video and part of a 2 hour tape. It was easier to shoot it off my screen with my iPhone and upload here to YouTube. Just me being lazy. I do plan to do it properly at some point.

  • So why are you filming this off a TV ?

  • thanks for sharing this..

  • Thanks for the comments. I have no idea where this ship is now.... But it was so amazing to see it in person. Also got to see the original Space Pod!

  • This is awesome. I did see the original jupiter hero model in an episode of In Search of . . .

It appeared to be intact, depicting an flying saucer landing in the New Mexico desert.

  • @citizenpoet Yes, you can see the "In Search Of" episode including the 10-foot J2 model here: "watch?v=Q27tRgljiY0" (prepend a youtube URL in front of the "watch" bit :-)

The model is seen about 5:45 into the segment. Also at 6:12 there's a better shot.

  • Where's the finished ship? Would love to see it done!

  • WOW! This is the 4 foot "hero model", isn't it?
