  • 0:26 are u sure he's drumming?

  • I see it as the unconscious expression of the consequences of the immigrant invasion of California (and the West), and the destructive ennui of cultural and racial dispossession. That was clear to see in 1999. I could see it and immediately heard the tacit despair in the song.

Losing California inch by inch for sure-- all while the controlled media shows us sunny beaches and shining vistas. (Don't you worry about that despair --- just 'turn up the radio')

    Great song!

  • Kieth Moon would approve, the drummer so reminds me of him.

  • I love it but, what does this song mean?

  • @rijrijrij

Possibly the decline of society due to parasitic lifestyle going on in a state that is literally broke? Could Sloan have foreseen this coming back in 1999? I don't know but

somehow the song fits right in during these entitlement mentality times.

  • haha...poor Andrew

  • The drummer looks a little like ashton kutcher at 00:26

  • @MichaelGuerriero I totally see that.

  • @MichaelGuerriero Lol, reminds me more of jeremiah from Detroit rock city

  • Maybe 60,000 to pay for renting the equipment and paying everyone? Just a guess. Lots of people are behind the scenes.

  • @hahohao Looks like a crane shot starts out the video, that takes some cash. Plus you have to hire the guy who makes the green screen edits fit in place properly. Also appears to be a pretty large space they had to rent out.

  • @AkuPoobah It's pure green screen. They could be in a 5 by 5 room space for all we know.

  • I like this song.

  • Poor Andrew.

  • Ive seen them play live about 6 or 7 times, they have been my fave band for like 15 years, theyre super nice guys, and theyre from a neighboring province in Canada, theyre extremely talented. My fave sloan song ever is oh , i love them all !!!

  • dude look how young they look

  • love how the guys change up positions in there videos every now and again

  • Simply perfect

  • for a video that's completely green screen im surprised it didn't "costed" them more. especially 10 years ago when this was made

  • @bmp001 Good point, I definitely didn't take the cost in the past into account. That being said, I don't understand why you would choose to word it in such an inflammatory manner.

  • @cieltsd he can word it how he pleases because he's never made a typing error in his life ;)...that and he knows that he won't have to fight you in homeroom on Monday morning....yay internet anonymity!

  • zero dislikes....sounds about right...

  • I just pressed play for the 9th time. AWESOME SONG!!! New album May 10th, 2011. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

  • ohhh patrick pentland is one fine fox! oh can't wait for the new album this may!!!

  • Thank you soo much for adding this. From the biggest Sloan fan in Louisiana, thank you!

  • Ah... the generation that still knows how to make real music... you know.. with lyrics.. musically grounded performers, and genuine showmanship.

  • What about the 60,000 don't you understand? Do you think it's too high or too low?

  • What happened to these guys?

  • @epicdeuce are you kidding me? They're still rocking the suburbs, they're even opening for the Rolling Stones on a few dates.

  • awesome
