I can promise you you are NOT seen as a boy, some people are just silly enough to think short hair means boy, and long hair means girl. That's like saying blue is just for boys. I have known I'm gay for like 3 years now and I've just recently come out to my parents while teachers at school and some of my friends already knew. I've been out to my parents and my oldest sister for a month now. And I told my twin sister only a week ago.

So don't try to hold that in, it's okay to cry and it's okay to mourn. You lost someone who cared for...and that's the most painful thing we can go through. But trust me when I say it's hope and time that's going to help. It's what helped me when I lost both my grandpas. So don't you lose that hope, it's there - promise.
Someone I knew killed himself on the 25th..he was a pastor. He was young. I'm trying very hard not to cry right now. He was an amazing person. I never talked to him, but I've seen him. I've heard him speak. He had this undeniable light to him...and I think I've lost something. Hope, maybe. In something..I'm sorry. I know I'm being a burden right now. Okay, so I've recently begun the coming out process,and my god it's long, but my parents kicked me out and I had to live with my best friend's family. Any advice?
@DepartureAvenue it's a life long process...one that you're not traveling alone. I'm one of the lucky one's and while I had a REALLY difficult time with my parents I never got kicked out. With that said, my advice is to find a support system and your best friend and best friend's family sounds like a perfect fit. Time does help, so stay strong and be proud of who you are.

@DepartureAvenue it's a life long process...one that you're not traveling alone. I'm one of the lucky one's and while I had a REALLY difficult time with my parents I never got kicked out. With that said, my advice is to find a support system and your best friend and best friend's family sounds like a perfect fit. Time does help, so stay strong and be proud of who you are.

Questions: Do you believe it's possible to fall for someone, like really fall for them, even if you haven't met them, and let's say they live in a totally different continent than you? Is missing something you've never "had" still valid? Or is it a fine line between desire and the classic "wanting what we can't have"?

I have to say that you guys have helped me so much in regards to my sexuality, you have given me hope which has turned into courage and strenght to be myself. Just want to thank you for your videos, they helped me gain enough confidence to come out! You guys are absolutely amazing, and super helpful!
I'm in high school, and now that I'm out (since June), I get really uncomfortable when people assume I'm straight (like teachers when talking about "typical teenage life" etc.). I don't want to embarrass the teacher and myself by correcting them in front of the whole class, but i hate the mix-up. Any suggestions?

Anyway, I wanted to ask for your advice: It's been 3 years now since I first came out and though everybody took it relly well and I never had any trouble, I'm still not good at talking about it, never tell if I like someone and so on. Thanks for your videos! I go to college full time and I work with a professor. I hardly have time to breathe so I understand how hard it can be to do a video every week. Don't feel bad, we really appreciate how much you all care. : ) You make it easier to be ourselves. You're brave.
How can a person stop caring about what others think of them? I want everyone to like me. How can you stop worrying so much? My biggest fear is that people will dislike me for who I am. How did you get so brave?

I still can not believe we both live in New York, and I still haven't met you or "bumped" into you. You should have a meet and greet in New York, I'm just saying :) Anyway I am a baby beav. Only 18yrs old, and obviously still uncertain about a lot of things. I always think I know what I want but I always second guess my feelings. Any advice on second guessing yourself?

Something has been troubling me lately and it would be nice to have some insight. A few months ago the relationship I was in ended because she moved away, about two months after that I got into another relationship. I have been very honest about my feelings with my girlfriend and she know that I may not be 100 percent over her. I still think about my most recent ex a lot, she was my first live and her feelings for me were not as strong. Is it normal to think about an ex a lot? Will this fade? I
