Life has fundamental rules and don't tell me its divine power. A better reply would be something scientific you can back up, humans are not like bacteria where we can just go into hibernation for that length of time, sure through meditation we can conserve a lot more energy but the claim of 10 months + is ridicules people that believe in these things should open a science book and look at the facts before believing silly media stunts, TV isn't always true and scientists are not always credible.

Skepticism can be useful, and I wont speak to claims that a person can go without eating and drinking for months, but I will say this: What this boy is doing is extraordinary- I challenge you or anyone else, to sit still, even if only for the waking hours of the day, in the same position, without eating or drinking. Regardless of what sort of religious or spiritual implications you may believe about it, the fact that a 15 year old boy is able to do that is as close to miraculous as it gets.

First of all, Ram Romjon never claimed he was the reincarnation of the Buddha,
Second, the Buddha is not God, the Buddha was just an ordinary man who became enlightened.
Third, Ram Ramjan does not want any publicity or attention. He had to escape all the attention a couple of times and go hide in the jungle to meditate undisturbed. He does not want fame, money, and he is not trying to prove anything or claim anything. He just wants to meditate in peace for six years.

@jigaboon Well if you;re talking about a "Christ" figure, then according to scripture he's coming. Also, he's not just "sitting" there. He's finding enlightenment through deep meditation, which only helps evolve the spirit, and helps you transcend what we know as physical. He's also giving Dharmas and blessings. However I don't think he's going to be performing miracles, but if he goes out of his way to feed 2,000+ people, that to me is a miracle in itself. Namaste to you.:)

Actually, there's a British film crew who filmed him night and day for something like 96 hours. There were no sheets drawn and they confirmed that he sat without eating or taking liquids for over 3 days. (science says we die if we do not take liquids after approx. 48 hours).

meditation goal, and I think the creator of this video severely
underestimates how amazing it is for Ram to meditate all day long.
whether Ram takes a break at night or not does not diminish this astounding

discovery channel also did a special in which they found no proof of him moving for 4 or 5 days, camera on him at all times, though it gets dark, there is no sounds of movemnts (leaves, twigs, etc..)...what is even more profound is the message he gives...forget about how he "just sits there", and that message seems pretty prophetic. interpreting all of this is difficult, but lets hope he reaches his goal.

I don't know what to beleive on this and I'm not accepting any point of view. However, your skepticism is no different than the holy man's skepticism of science. In fact, science seems to be on Bomjon's side because they have recorded him sitting day and night for four days strait.
Sure, reports of spontaneous combustion and eminating light from his head may be false but Bomjon, as you saud, says nothing. Then again, he did tell others to stop calling him the buddha's reincarnation.
