  • Thanks that was great!

Do you know of any more artists like nobuyasu?

  • @lebowski2342342

Well, you could try the other singers I have songs for on this channel. Also check out Nakagawa Goro, who is fantastic, and Mikami Kan, who is so radical that his lyrics sound almost like punk, though the music is sort of folk. Hope that helps. (Ah, by the way, I list the Japanese names in Japanese order--that is, family name first and given name second.)

  • Great! Can you also do a translation of Churippu no Appurike?

  • @minus273cn Well that has more to do with my limited Japanese... I just didn't understand the story: the mother left the family because it is too poor to have skirts with tulip appliques?

  • @minus273cn

The song is sung from the daughter's perspective (though the singer is the man Okabayashi). She laments their poverty, a poverty so great that it prompted her mother to run off. The daughter longs for the absence mother, a woman who presumably would take her out clothes shopping and buy her cute stuff (like skirts with tulip appliques on it). How's that?

  • 今の時代、「部落差別」をしているのは60代以上の世代の方でしょう。

    自分を含めた40代以下の世代には、そんな差別は殆どありません。

  • The transcribtion of the Kanji signs to Hiragana was very helpful, thank you, whoever did that! Love the song!

  • I have heard this prejudice still occurs in Japan by some companies ...

  • @pajetuba

    Bandanaramaman's translation: 今でもこんな差別をし続ける日本の会社があるそうです。

  • Love it! *_*

  • Good translating into English!
