Just use Quicktime; much easier and free all the time. Also, if you want to record the volume on the screen too, and keep the quality of the recording, pick up a 1/8th inch to 1/8th inch audio cable and hook one end into your output and one end into your input! Works perfectly!!!

ok so for some reason my mac won't let me record anything. I've tried both Screenium and IShowU and this is the result I get. In Screenium the video gives me the following results: 0x0 pixels, 0 colour, and where it used to say "Animation Decoder" it only says "Decoder". In IShowU after I'm done recording it says "This file is not a video file". Quicktime is great but it makes my computer lag if I record in High Quality. can someone help me please?

@Traine15 Quicktime player, you use your quicktime player to record, it's easy to use. This version of Screenium currently does NOT work with os Lion, ScreenFlow and Quicktime are the only screen recorders that work atm, except MAYBE the Screenium in the app store. Quicktime should already be installed on your mac so I suggest you use that unless your trying to record stuff like Runescape, yt vids, possible other java/flash-based games.

all u need to do is press quick time player on ur doc and then go to the top left and click FILE the press NEW SCREEN RECORDING and then press record and well record! when ur dont ur go to the top right and click STOP RECORDING. hope i helped
