My boyfriend and I were watching all the seasons on Netflix and when the episode came on that Dr. Kroger died my stomach sank and so I imdb'd him and that's when I found out that Stanley Kamel had really died :( R.I.P. Miss you, Dr. Kroger :(

Monk never told Bell that his dr had died so not sure where u got that....bell already knew Kruger bcause he had a painting up on his wall that belonged to Kruger...monk asked him where he got the pic and he explained that "I forgot who" someone said he could have it because he always liked it....now maybe monk mentioned something about Kruger,but bell already knew he had passed.

I just found out now after watching some episodes on Hulu. I wondered why Hector Elizando was playing Monk's psychiatrist. What a shock when I googled to find out. Sad sad sad.. I really liked Dr. Kroger. I found him very attractive to watch. How did they explain him out of the show?  Was there a particular episode where Dr. Kroger's disappearance is explained?? (I don't get the USA network so I've been watching DVD's and Hulu...and reading the Monk books.

In an episode, I forgot the episode name and number, its the first episode with Dr. Bell. Monk tells Dr. Bell that Dr. Kroger died.

Great song for a great actor. There will never be an actor as good as him and I don't think Tony Shalub a.k.a Monk will have a better shrink as well. RIP Stanley Kamel, you will always be missed.

Man, it's a real shame that he passed away. He was good with monk. I hope his new shrink is just as good...but no one can completely replace Kroger. me and my friend and her family are huge Monk fans, so we always tune in to watch it(by the way...sorry the last part was a little off-topic...i hate ending with a sad comment)

When USA aired their tribute for him, I couldn't believe it! He really was a great actor; Monk won't be the same w/out him (the show and the character)
