  • it's lat christmas night winding down spent

ive just played this 4 times in a row

what a beautiful piece of music just right for now

  • Best.Christmas.Album.EVER.

  • i have the cassette tape of this..i've never gotten around to finding a CD or digital copy, but something about the static-fuzz of the cassette makes this sound so much more.....nostalgic and old. like when christmas used to be more than just JCpenny and MACY commercials and "every kiss begins with Kay" commercials..this stuff is what christmas is really about. the music that brings us to happiness. thank you vince Guaraldi

  • One of my all time favorites,,,I never tire of hearing it ...brings back so many memories, such is the power of a great song, thanks for posting.

  • Jazz is the best Christmas genre.

  • @minamu8 There are some great classical tracks, but there is a beauty of Christmas Jazz that other genres can't touch.

  • There's just something about jazz--the free-spiritedness, the improvisational qualities, the fundamentalist aspects of the genre--that, when combined with traditional or modern Christmas tunes, makes for such instant musical genius.

If anyone's interested in a listen, my favourite jazz christmas albums are (not the "smooth-jazz" rubbish that we hear in department stores) "An Oscar Peterson Christmas" and the Ramsey Lewis Trio's "Sound of Christmas." And this one of course.

  • This is not the same version that is on the disc for the soundtrack. (on the soundtrack he doesn't arpeggiate the turnaround between verses.) I wonder what this one was recorded for...I like this one even better, which is saying something.

  • it sort of sounds like green sleeves, i love both of them

  • @juliawaltz4 They are the same music. :) "What Child is This" was written to the tune of Greensleeves.

  • Best Christmas Album Of ALL Time! Exclamation point!

  • Truly a classic ... all the songs and the video are timeless ... Merry Christmas!

  • A sure indication that music evokes time and memories

  • Great album. And the tune is probably 400 years old!

  • Christmas is only one month away people!

  • Finally bought the CD after all these years. I'm already excited about Christmas - I don't care if it's still early November. This has got to be one of the happiest tunes in the whole world!

  • @dragonpop421 Happy

  • this reminds me of all of the good memories i cant wait for winter :)

  • this is my favorite song in the world. so beautiful, and ii love christmas so it reminds me of christmas all year round. :) beautiful.

  • People laugh at me because I listen to this song all year long...I even have it as a ringtone on my phone...LOL.

  • This song is just as magical in July.

  • @WeLoveLookHereJunior ...and August, September, October, Nov....

  • @WeLoveLookHereJunior It's the only Christmas CD where I don't have to wipe off a year's worth of dust.

  • music doesn't get any better then this

  • one of favorite songs. it don't need to be christmas to listen to this.
