Nah, they only have the Japan Self-Defense Force. Just over 300,000 soldiers. Russia has over 1 million active duty forces and just under 800,000 reserve forces. Not to mention any move the Japanese make against the Kuril Islands would be stopped cold by the S-400 rocket batteries, as well as the fact that Russia has allies right there. Japanese aggression would be the end of Japan.
