  • come to me tonto...

  • i agree with noel2711 do you remember the fish eye lens and seed dream

  • Thanks for this, I have the vinyl also, my second...

  • Tonto's was so ahead of its time, even compared to electronic music pioneers in the universities and Canadian Electroacoustic Community. Thanks for posting this.

  • amazing

  • Malcolm Cecil has had a very successful career as a musician and engineer/producer, for many years He's been in the Woodstock, NY area playing and recording for some years now, and still has the original TONTO..

  • Oh wow, havn't heard this in over 30 years. If anyone gets a chance do a search for T.O.N.T.O. its just one huge spaceship looking thing with dozens of MOOG's hooked up. T'was a nightmare to tune as well.

What else........cost about 60,000 to bulid and is only worth about a 100,000 grand now. Malcom Cecil is still going strong as far as I know.

  • Many thanks for posting, this is the original digi / compu. music long before the German bands Kraftwerk or Tangerine Dream etc. These guys were groundbreakers. Nobody else was even near. I have this album from original - a bit worn now. The gear they used filled a room - Nowadays you can use Wavelab or something similar on your laptop - it was a bit like the Apollo technology then compared with a cell phone now.

  • Found the UK 'It's About Time' LP, at a car boot sale for a quid today, I'm very happy, they're new to me, totally great stuff.

  • Although....how good this is, "White Noise" '69 ,had a similair groove going on 'An Electric Storm' ♫

  • WAYYyyyy ahead of the pack!

  • This sounds like Kraftwerk`s Autobhan.

  • I was once the proud owner of the vinyl album.

I must have been in my teens when I bought it and I'm now 54.

Two divorces and a move to Asia took its toll, I no longer have any vinyl!!. Wonderful sounds, great to hear this track again.

Despite the loss of vinyl, I love my life. YouTube is a great medium for me.

  • I used to be a member of the Nottingham Astronomical Society and a member put this on a tape for me. I bought the album and the Analogue sound was brilliant on my Sony music centre. Now my large Fisher studio speakers reproduce the DEEP BASS. My elderly sister who lives in the flat above is not keen. I once told the dotty cow there had been an earth tremor and she believed me :-)

  • You are truly a man after my own heart.

  • @silverstartrucker Now its 2012 just blame it on that ! LOL

  • @justakaduppy Then again don't wanna get her too paranoid LOL !

  • I've still got it(I never maried ;]) -noel- don't play it anymore though , all my musics on the hard drive.

Still...once in a while it's nice to browse through the old vinyl pack.

  • @noel2711 my dad still has it on vinyl, he's 62 :P love it

  • Yep, had this LP when I was 16, L-O-N-G time ago.

Jetsex was my favourite, nice to hear it again and thanks for posting.

    It's in my favourites!

    :-)
