@pasidaman The increase in pressure, due to the heat applied, pushes the water in the bottom vessel up through the tube into the upper pot where it brews. Once one removes the pot from the heat source the pressure will begin to equalize and eventually the brew will drip back down where it can then be poured out.

I have seen these kinds of coffee makers but with a glass rod type filter in them. do you think those would work in these?
