Let's have a competition from the footage that is left of DLR - winner has to find the interview where the fat talentless bore says the word 'star' or 'stars' the most times in one minute ...
sorry about my user name..seems l lke i want dannys old frocks....no i do not...he came to my wedding at the guild halln the city of london the most charming man i have ever met keep a good eye on this site...does any one remember Tony Palmer his stage best lady, whot happond to her must ask the lady rattlngs.god bless.
I am appearing as Dame in Little Red Riding Hood at the Academy Theatre in Barnsley this coming Christmas (2010) for James Brandon. Danny La Rue could really sell a song, even at the age of 80 years. Marvelous. He was much loved because he loved his profession and he loved his audiences. That came across so strongly in all of his performances. He is certainly an inspiration to me.
it was so lovely to see this video, i was actually at the party (dressed as a schoolgirl!) He was truly a star, and can still bring a tear to my eye xxx RIP
Thank you for this marvellous addition. Pure magic - it shows that Danny could hold an audience right up to the end. There has never been anyone like him and there never will be. He was completely unique. It would be interesting to see comments from the many admirers at the fantastic tribute show at the London Palladium on October 11th. God Bless you, dear Dan.
Hi, I filmed it myself on my phone. I didn't tell Dan I was filming, but would have been pretty obvious. It was kind of a semi private party put on by the landlord of the Branksome Arms who knew him.
yes i know it was as i couldn't make it as i knew him also for over 30 years i was just wondering as alot of things have cropped up since he passed away i looked out for him in life and will do the same now
thanks i heard good things about it from dan and also david carter who was with him he wouldn't of minded you filming he was use to it but as you understand im just here th protect his memory and also make sure he isn't ripped off again on some sites such as ebay etc
