whats good about this routine is that there is no fake deck it all about sleight of hand and as dayrl says "control" - altho he does the moves perfectly to another magician it is clear what he is doing ;)

@habkam Actually no, there is a Gaffed deck. I dont want to give anything away, but the last part of the trick requires a gimmicked deck. But nonetheless, one of the very best cardicians. And certainly one of my favorite.

@alonjunior1995 There are many magicians magician. That's just a title that someone started calling Daryl and it stuck. But Vernon was not the first magicians magician nor was he the last.

@vpmitchell I wouldn't say it was "wise ass" more like nerves. You see alot of patter can can form as a way of copeing nervousness. We all get nervous amateur's get nervous and you can tell, a pro get's nervous and you can't.

Now how does patter form from nerves?!, well lets look at say... in court... see how thay will laff if thay are yelled at for a wrong doing,

well the laff is a copeing mechanism much like one liners and jokes can be for intertainers.

@monkeyman822 you gotta show some respect to this guy man, he's one of the best card magicians ever, he won fism(the olympics of magic) with this act.every magician knows how ambitious card routine is done, but nobody can do it as well as he does it, he's got his own style and his presentation is just great. also he came up with his method to demonstrate the card moves from center to the top(known as the ultimate ambitious)

Why are people so concerned about a prepared deck, rigged deck and so on? That looked VERY convincing to me, and that's what magic is all about, creating an illusion. His illusion is a good one, it's very effective, and I was very entertained by his routine.

I agree. Up until he tied the rope and that bit I followed. I think he doesn't put the card in the middle, but somehow it appears in the middle. If you notice he turns the deck 180 after "not yet" to present the 2 to the audience. This is so the torn corner is hidden since it's already on the top.

Daryl surely is a good magician. And he does the ACR perfect - technically. But the presentation is just like "*boom*. *boom*. *boom*. *boom*" - without any pause. that makes the effect somehow boring.
