@DrEviscerator666 Yes you can with the buttons on located on the front panel. If you are a giging musician however i highly recommend putting together a switching system like i did.

@brandon5pennies The Powerball v2 and the Powerball 2 are different. I have a v2 with the features i mentioned. The new Powerbal 2 is a newer, more recent amp with the black face and extra channel.

I really would do anything for a ENGL amp, I have a JCM900 (which i have borrowed) and a Laney GH100TI atm and they both sound great, so they will have to do for the mean time :P

A quick tip to anyone buying a razorback! I wouldn't advise getting a non usa dean razorback guitar unless you are not fussed on the feeling of 'class'. I bought the slime bumblebee and the feeling of the guitar does not have one ounce of class in it at all. There are heaps of flaws and thats probly due to being made in korea. Its good but not worth the money at all. Just warning people so you do not make the same mistake as me. : )

Dude I completely agree. I work at a music store and we're a dean dealer and we've got almost every razorback they make (including the slime bumblebee) and I have the same complaints you do about them. One thing I notice is that they have a LOT of variance in how well/evenly they are put together (particularly in how the neck sits), but also they just plain feel wierd when you play them. We have plenty of guitars for way cheaper that seem of better quality and character. I was disapointed!

I have owned a Krankenstein for a year. Clean channel is great, just not traditionnal. It sounds deep and dark. Distortion on it is f**king brutal. Once again it's not for everyone, depending on what type of music you're gonna play with it. You should really try both before buying such an expensive piece of equipment.

engl eats shit compared to rivera amps. especially with the clean tones- the owner of rivera, paul rivera, was the master amp designer at fender and quit to start his own company. as for the overdrive channel, engls sound ultra thin compared to rivera. plus engls have the nosiest lead channels. nothing but feedback, thats why they put a noise gate on it. the rivera knucklehead tre is super high gain and has NO feedback at all, even with an overdrive to boost leads there is still no feedback

3...then there is the Low end button ( for channel 3 and 4), this thing not only gives you a bone chrushing low end boost for the rythm, but it adds a more throaty quality to more mid based leads and solos....However it tends to rob you of some gain....you will definitely want this off for what you want to play, but this switch is what gives Chris Broderick his super throaty super clean leads.

4...and finally, theres the Mid Open and mid Focused options...the mid open alows you to get that great classic overdriven marshall esc tone...while the mid focused option is more for tight, technical rythm playing like Necrophagist or arsis.

I think the most important thing to remember in deciding to get this amp over any other is the gain, personally, every marshall ive ever played had terrible gain, and needed overdrive, this amp needs NO overdrive, ever, it has all the gain you ever need.
