Watched this a few hours ago.. Im back to ask if basically you're saying like if I jump rope for 5 mins, I will burn more fat (Will I be burning more energy or more fat? Otherwise is this by any chance an afterburn workout, jumping rope?) than when I run at a fast pace for 5 mins? Answers will be appreciated :)
@SpeedinHawk it depends on how fast you can swing the rope. with proper form, jump roping is like running with proper form, it doesn't take much energy and you can skip as long as you want. adding new tricks once you get more accustomed to the rope adds a little more variety to keep the exercise fresh so you have something to challenge yourself with
I try to jump rope for close to 20 mins after I do a solid workout whether it's P 90 x or just lifting. It's a great way to get the body warmed up as well. 5 minutes of jump rope is perfect for warming up before lifting and even after your body is done lifting etc and doing abs, it's another way to burn out whatever you have left !
Great question... I heard this a long time ago, and it's true. If you got kids like me, it's easier to find 10- 20 min to jump rope, then it is to find 30- 45 min to go for a jog.
I have a question regarding strength exercises...if you are doing home workouts, say for chest and for example-fly exercise on the ground with 2 dumbells, will it be the same workout if you do it with just 1,but for each side sepretly ? Will it have the same effect.
I dont have 2 dumbells and im not sure if doing one side at a time will have the same effect,so if anyone has any info on this...please :)
@pandaweige er i guess the proper way is to do it like a boxer would sorry i could explain it better :/ but look it up man i learned when i was 10 and ive always done it that way
@hurrykaneecko: i know how to jumprope... i was just wondering if there was a more effective way... for example one person suggested jumping with one flat foot and one foot on the toe.. then switching...
can you talk about Hight intensity interval training?
i'm currently a student, and i'm trying to not only get in shape, but i'm trying to get fit so basic training isn't nearly as hard on me than, rather than going in on the condition i'm in right now. (basic for the military, or the military academies).
someone told me it would do me better than just going out on 25 minute jog/walks.
Great question, great answer! I can run a 10k in 50 min and not get tired, and skip for half an hour and be super exhausted :D skip 30 secs, rest 15 for 30 minutes. TIRING! And I sweat a lot more too

Yuri, you need to perhaps move the camera to the left and film in the corner of the room. You shouldn't have direct light behind you.

watch some Roy Jones Jr. highlights and look at how fast he can throw his hooks.

pandaweige 1 year ago
@pandaweige on your toes switching is a good way but harder to keep it up without stopping
hurrykaneecko 1 year ago
@pandaweige
bounce on your toes.
make sure the rope is not too long or short, do it in an spacy area.
what i like to do is to keep my hands slightly above my waist and around shoulder length apart.
like make little loops with your hands to maintain the speed of the rope.
i dont know, im not a trainer, i just used to box. matter of fact, look up "floyd mayweather skipping rope"
