  • 2005 and 2006-7 Alonso was bad but now he is the best of f1 driver I think

  • Comment removed

  • look rigt front wheel in turn 1:S

  • why does this 2005 car seem faster than a 2011 f1 car?

  • @LHB2311 because it is

  • @avenged277693 why though?

  • @LHB2311 because of the new rules... ;)

  • @stotheimon1 i worked it out about a month ago mate..

  • @LHB2311 oh i'm sorry i gave you an answer ;)

  • @stotheimon1 a very basic one but yer cool whatever

  • i believe its 2006

  • i love that sound :)))

  • 0:04 look at the right front wheel. ???

  • @NOXXism

The sidewalls of the 2005 spec tires were especially soft. They'd often do that when unloaded and the tread was allowed to wobble around.

  • @NOXXism scary

  • horrible sound.

  • Alonso ist einfach geil!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nadie mejor que Senna!

  • Why do so many onboard videos skip the tunnel entrance?

  • @supratt2jzgte im not exactly sure but i think that the signal cuts off when entering the tunnel just like a cellphone would do if someone were using it in car (although its illegal or not safe for the driver) the signal would cut off.

  • @alexmun133 Oh, that makes sense. But, then again, that doesn't happen if you are watching the race live. Pretty strange.

  • @supratt2jzgte this video may have been edited

  • @supratt2jzgte it does happen, only not nowadays... they have apparently found a way to get a signal from the onboard camera even inside the tunnel, but in the old days they couldn't, which is why they cut it... in some videos you can even see the camera lose connectivity and goes into static, right before they cut it...

  • i love the 2005 and 2006 renault. i am german and to be honest i dont really like alonso but with watching videos i like him more and more he is definitely the best driver formula 1 has now. he is the only one who gives more than 100%. he touches the limit with every car. alonso is a fighter !!

  • 0:35

I thought Portal was released in 2007? ^^

  • awesome onboard action, we need move of this

  • haha before ferrari hated him because he was always competing with MSC now they hire him

  • Fernando the best!

  • 1:01 faith in your car, Monaco i love watching this race always good

  • 1:01 faith in your car

  • god i miss those blue and yellow colours. if u agree thumbs up

  • @MrSpiraklas And that sound :)

  • i miss the old engines

  • Brings back many memories. Miss the old look of the f1 cars.

  • ohh the V10 F1 car is probally the best sound a car can make! racecar or not!

  • @Ferrari123planb cant believe they will have V6's next season. Pretty soon the cars will be self propeled fred flinstone style.

  • r25 best 2005 car by far

  • 0:27 look at the steering wheel ;-)

  • damn.... flash! .... que passed very fast through the tunnel

  • Why not V2 turbos? If they really want to save the expenses and make Formula 1 something you can't even call sports...

  • Insane acceleration!

  • Alonso is not human, WOW

  • no we don't want v4 turbos! we want v10's!!

  • @PalkiaLova112 It's actually a straight 4... get your facts right

  • @Master1906 fuck off

  • Comment removed

  • @Master1906 It was planned to be a 4 cylinder turbo in the beginning, but then they changed it to 6 cylinder turbo... perhaps you should be getting your facts right

  • @dan1994L Dude I said straight 4 before they changed it to V6 which was less than 2 weeks ago. Look at when my comment was posted you retard

  • @Master1906 when you posted your comment, it was planned for 4 cylinder with turbo, not straight 4.

  • @dan1994L It was in a straight 4 configuration, which is a 4 cylinder... god why are there so many fucktards in this world?

  • @Master1906 Why yes, I do find the irony of the fact that you used a made up word to insinuate lacking intelligence amusing.

  • @dan1994L lmao, "4 cylinder not straight 4" does prove indeed, that a new word has to be made up to demonstrate just how "fucktarded" you are.

Attempting use educated words like "insinuate" doesn't exactly hide the fact you made a stupid comment to prove I was wrong but instead made you look the idiot. Fail much?

  • Alonso is amazingly fast, a real professional...

  • miss these colours :(

  • The Renault should still be French racing blue. Not the '70s Lotus colors.

  • 2004 = V8, 2013 = 4 cylinders, 2018 = shit

  • @rubensamg Correct me if im wrong..but was this thing not a 3.0L V10? and it was in 05

  • @TaKeItLiKaMaN The v8 engines was introduced in 2006. Alonso was the last driver who won the title with a V10 car in 2005.

  • Comment removed

  • @YensiTeasu I was just joking. I know it's not a Clio... is it a Laguna? (joking) (sorry)

  • @YensiTeasu Is it a Clio?

  • Russian driver Vitaly Petrov drives a Renault Megane I hear. Is this a Megane or something else?

  • so fast that i could not see him driving through the tunnel.

  • The sound of that V-10 is to die for

  • i loved it how he turned into a corner these years.

    bring back these cars!

  • Did you see how fast he went through the tunnel, I didn't even see it.

  • god above that engine is awsome

  • @xBaphometHx that's exactly what I mean, nowadays when you look at them driving in TV, it feels like anyone could drive them, the speed is like twice less than what it was before. That's why I don't appreceate Vettel as much as a driver as I appreciate Alonso, even though Vettel is a nice guy.

  • best looking car in f1 ever!

  • I'm not a real Alonso fan tbh, due to his arrogant and selfish behavior, but he's definitely one of the best drivers in F1.

This is the time that cars actually required some talent to drive them... not like nowadays they have automatic gear box and full traction control, not to talk about the powerless V8 engines. What happened to old good engine blow ups? I so miss the old good F1 and the season 2005.

  • @Henkkaaa89 I don't like Alonso myself, but he's a bloody good driver. I also think that F1 should return to the V10 engines, but now with the V6's coming up in a couple of years, the sport will turn into a complete joke.

  • @Henkkaaa89 They don't have automatic gearboxes. They have semi-automatic like they had in 2005. Traction control was used only in 2007 and was banned.

I'm agree with the powerless V8 engines. They need 2 extra cilinders again to make us feel that these cars are impossible to be driven by a common human being.

  • to bad kimi beat his lap by half second

  • i would like to see old v12 and i heard that in 2012 they will let turbocompressor.

    imagine a V12 with turbocompressor

  • I accept that Alonso took advantage of the Renault reliability that year, but he is still the least deserving champion of all time.

  • @schumachertimesrossi Love or hate Alonso, the mans talent is undeniable. Your comment is possibly the most ridiculous thing i have ever read. If your talking about undeserving champions Jenson Button slots right in near the top. I like him, but he is nowhere near the best in F1, he just took advantage of a car that was the best by a mile at time when many teams were lagging behind due to the drastic changes to F1 in 2009.

  • @xIIJoshIIx well both him and button took advantage of pace and reliability. I'm not denying alonso's talent or anything but 2005 should have been Kimi's championship.

  • @xIIJoshIIx alonso and button both didnt deserve dthe title Raikkonen broke down while leading the race 5 times in 05 and still allmost beat Alonso

  • @schumachertimesrossi based on that so did schumacher 4 years in a row he got no competition back then because he took advantage of his car too but once alonso's car got better he was out so as of result alonso is a better driver than schumcher if it's that what are you saying , a driver by itself can do nothing, if you go through the history you will see that's a fact, I myself don't like schumacher but I don't deny his talent or disrespect him, he is a good driver

  • @schumachertimesrossi he deserved the 2006 title tho. Not 05, that was Kimi's year.

  • @schumachertimesrossi i agree at 100% with you

  • yep....f1 was amazing with v10's

  • What time was that?

  • @ImFasterThanTheStig

This is the 2005 Renault, check any onboard camera and you will see this.. v8's were not out until 2006 so wrong again.

  • @MacHoodio

Sorry m8, you are right. You know what made me think it's a renault from 2005? The small yellow wings infront of the car, which were only used in monaco during the season 2005, and then throughout the whole season 2006.

And from 2006 on they had the V8 enignes.

  • @ImFasterThanTheStig

    No worries easy mistake :)

  • @MacHoodio

However, the R28 was the best looking renault f1 car ever, in my opinion.

  • @ImFasterThanTheStig

This is 2005, there're old vodafone banners

  • This footage is terrible

  • Fastest tunel passage of all time :)

  • Tunnel?

  • Why did the camera cutout after portie and only resume after he's braking for nouvelle?

  • loved that renault car

  • go scuderia ferrari!!!

  • que tiempo de vuelta ha hecho?

  • Renault made the best V10 motors to F1

  • 0:35 alonso is god,he can teleport

  • Proof that Alonso prefers a setup which tends to understeer more.

  • @MattMK45

Yes, I always felt there is something special about riding onboard with Alonso in his 2005 Renault... How the cars seems to understeer, how he aggressively cures it with the steering wheel and as a result the car seems on rails... I find it one of the finest examples of driving technique and car control.

  • @zitmeister1978 Hahahaha. It was a lightspeed tunnel!

  • THAT SOUND IS FUCKIN AWESOME!

  • This reanault I think is one of the best looking f1 cars ever I dotn even like renault D:

  • Comment removed

  • alonso is the best!

  • Car sounds are very nice I like it

  • man that car sounds GREAT !!!

    bring back V10

  • i still like sennas lap in 1990 a lil better

  • too bad renault sucks now go ferrari finally after that last season

  • i miss that sound

  • @adicolour75 yea. they are now 2l engines.. bullshit.

  • and the tunel?

  • magic alonso el puto amo

  • itd be interesting to see them allow v8s and v10s now that theres a refueling ban. v10 might have more power but they weigh more and the fuel tanks would be larger and theyd require more fuel to last the whole race, all contributing to weight. v10 advantage on straights and v8 advantage in the corners. i want v10s back in f1. they sound so much better

  • Bring V10 back, and semi-slicks if u think that V10 is too fast!!!

  • you can almost feel the accel in the beginning out of turn 1

  • one of the best f1 engines :D

    i like it a lot

  • Wow the last straight the R25 just hauled, like that was a cool sound idc wat ppl think.

  • dude u missed the tunnel :(

  • Man, that last corner, If the car understeers just a bit... crash!

  • thts y they spend hours on set up

  • Todo un espectaculo el v10!

  • Bring back V10's!!

  • I don't understand... if they want to make the cars slower, why make the engines smaller? V8's are more compact then then the V10's, so they can harness the aerodynamic even better, making the cars faster... Why don't they reintroduce the 3.5L V12? The much heavier V12 would force the teams to give up some aerodynamic, but would make them a little faster on the straights!

  • @skynet0912 fuel consumption......the FIA wants to reduce running costs....i no what you are saying...

  • @09Murphy09 I wish....too bad its going to be a 1.6L four cylinder in 2013

  • @abm89

Back to turbos, as I recall reading.

  • como corría el V10...

  • i wonder if we are going to see the monaco lap record fall this year?

thanks to the slicks the cars will have more mechanical grip rather than aerodynamic grip which would benefit them on this track...

but the '04 and '05 cars were beasts, imagine those things on slicks =O

  • Indeed mate, i think we could get into the low 1m 14s. But i doubt we will get into the mid 1m 13s like they were doing in pre-qualifying 2004.

  • @MacHoodio Well, Mark Webber scored 1'13"826 for pole this year. The 2010 cars are longer, but on low-fuel settings are as goddamn fast!

  • @MacHoodio We got into the high 1m 13's! That's an achievement!

  • @MacHoodio well slicks were around since 2009, and the lap record didn't fall then, and the wheelbase of cars in '09 were shorter than last year and this year, and i don't think the record will be broken in another say....5-6 years :( btw, this isn't 2005, it's 2006 :)

  • @MacHoodio well were now into 1.13.5

  • @MacHoodio what are you going to say now))) mr doubter))

  • @MacHoodio you know vettels pole time of this year dont you ;D

  • @wolfmother4eva Smaller front wheels counteract's that.

I don't think we'll see anything like what was being posted in 2004-2005.

  • @wolfmother4eva

With the combination of fuel load and tire degradation, I seriously doubt the record will fall this year.

  • @wolfmother4eva nope........

  • this track is insane

  • Like the wind!
