I've watched this a few dozen times over the years. It's possibly the best done tribute I've ever seen.
The death of Captain America should have stood. It, and the entire Civil War story ark, were possibly the single most powerful statement the comics world has ever made about our current society. Civil rights have been marginalized. Your right to privacy invaded at the will of the state. But I guess greed trumps that message, right Disney?

Captain America wasn't selling as much, and he is a old character in the Marvel Universe that really no one hates. He stood for hope in the beginning back in I guess you could call Americas glory days. Now it seems as if we are falling, people want to be safe more than free, and so freedoms are being taken away. This could be what his death symbolized, but hey I overanalyze alot.

Really wished they had left Capt. dead. His death freaking made headlines! A COMIC BOOK CHARACTER MADE HEADLINES with his death. And it kinda felt trivialized when you knew they were just gonna bring him back anyways with some weird "space and time" explanation. It was such a powerfull statement for the writers to kill Captain America amongst all the 9/11, national secuirty, and "power of government" issues.

@MrReviewerDude Well the comic series "Civil War" is the comic which provides the backstory for his death, why he was arrested, etc. you can get all 7 issues of Civil War in one book from most book stores. And then Captain America #25 is where he is actually killed.

I am still a little pissed they killed cap i am 17 and i have been reading cap comics my whole life and my dad use to read me them when i was really little. He is by far the best and coolest super hero. Having said this it is fitting that he would die in this story because he gave it his all and it was needed to show a lesson in the comic.

well if you have not heard of the marvel civil war the reason is that the us passed an act that all superhumans had to register who they where there strenghts and weakneses and capt america was against it and iron man was ok with it so a war began between the heroes so iron man killed captain america

I personally would have written it so that Thor had arranged for him to go to Valhalla (you know how much Thor admired him). I haven't read the comic (or any comic, for that matter) but it seems they chose a sloppy solution. Or do you think they're going with clones again?

I am still a little pissed they killed cap i am 17 and i have been reading cap comics my whole life and my dad use to read me them when i was really little. He is by far the best and coolest super hero. Having said this it is fitting that he would die in this story because he gave it his all and it was needed to show a lesson in the comic.

NBAbigfan is correct.silver surfer is actuall faster then superman and flash. Superman and flash can travel a little bit faster then light speed right? Silver surfer flies at a speed called 'Hyperspace'. He traveled through time even. His physical strength is un-known (far surpassing superman). He defeated thor and loki. He also defeated mephisto in mephistos own realm. Sliver surfer is definitely one of the greatest of all time.

Silver Surfer he has the power of Cosmic he can do anything he want's he can match his strength higher than Hulk or even move faster than flash. He can read minds and knows any super heroes weekness. He can do whatever ability in the Universe he wants with his power Cosmic. I wanted Silver Surfer to take Captain America's side and Destroy all of the registration especially iron man.
