To hell with these con artists & their GW charade!
bush's ripple came from cheney, gore would have got a giant ripple from LIEberman. They also stopped calling it global "warming", now it's "climate change", RP2012! salmon is good for you, Omega3 fatty acids.
If Gore ran in 2008 he would squash whoever ran against. It would be a platform of "This time we're going to wipe the slate clean and do things right." We all know it.
You are incorrect. Gore never did say he is not running for president in 2008. He says he "is not a candidate as of now, but will not close the door on the possibility in the future."
Al Gore lost TN because they were tired of him promising to vote according to their wishes and then voting for whatever suited AL GORE. His stand on guns hurt too. Taking guns away from citizens doesn't effect criminals except to make it safer for them to rob you. Guns aren't the problem, it's the people that mis-use them. Enforce laws we already have. U can't vote by party or what they say they'll do either, vote by what they have done in the past.
The Two Party system is a Globalist facade. The Neocons & the Democrats are Establishment puppets both working to destroy this country from within. Ron Paul in 2008 or Orwell's Oceania by 2012! I had doubts about Ross Perot. I have no doubts about Ron Paul! Check his voting record! He's awesome!
HOUSTON, WE HAVE A SHORT BUS ! FG's vid was right above my query the whole time. Sorry, Davis. Off to listen (if I'm capable of grasping his concepts, that is...)
i want to recomend that youu all view "feistygeek's" repsonse to this video. his point on american political apathy is well taken. i tried to address the reasons for this apathy(my own opinion) in my "hippie trilogy" - but fiestygeek's pointis well taken.
Davis, am I having a ShortBus day (very plausible), or do I not see a feistygeek comment here? I heve perused three times...will go for a fourth attempt...
What is his point? (I ask that with sincere curiosity, not sarcastically...)
Ron Paul. He's an American patriot who wants to leave you alone. He's NOT a neocon or a liberal. His voting record follows the Constitution not public opinion or political tides. He wants to end the war,REALLY. Vietnam vet. Ron will protect OUR borders instead of theirs. Gore was and is a joke. Bush was and is a disaster.
"The Force is very strong in this one. Dr. Paul is a physician that seeks to determine the causes and cures for diseases, rather than to create new diseases and prolong them. It's a quite different paradigm than the vast majority of all those attorneys that he's surrounded by in Washington. In my view, he's essentially a Thomas Jefferson, reincarnate. Liberty is his mantra; Freedom is his heart." -- Koby Brandt
That depends upon what you believe a Libertarian is ElCarcho. Ron Paul is philosphically aligned with the Founders of this Country including and most resembling Thomas Jefferson. He's a strict Consitutionalist abiding by Constitutional law. He's not a Neo-con and criticizes their Straussian philosophical bend.
Any particular label that which to attach to him really doesn't matter, but his political philosophy does. This is the most experienced, knowledgable, and seasoned candidate out of the lot -- both Democrats and Republicans alike. There is no contest.
he is not a neo-con that is true but i would not agree he is aligned with the founders or most resembles Thomas Jefferson. i understand you really like him, and thats fine. but to try and win the minds of voters by misleading them probably wont work in this election, at least i hope not. we are looking for honesty, not a bunch of fanatics pushing a candidate.
"we are looking for honesty, not a bunch of fanatics pushing a candidate." You mean like you pushing for Dennis Kucinich?
Everything I present is always backed by solid evidence and factual. I do my homework and research. You want to point out exactly how I've misled anyone with respect to Dennis Kucinich or Ron Paul?
you havent seen displays at the ends of my posts saying
***
SUPPORT DENNIS KUCINICH FOR PRESIDENT!
***
now you have, there is a big difference in what we are doing, in fact until this post i have not once said that others should support Kucinich or that i was completely behind him. good try at turning it though.
Sorry, stating my choice for a candidate and urging others to examine and research his credentials and hopefully support him is not misrepresentation, nor is it fanaticism. I've thoroughly researched both Kucinich and Paul. Where is my misrepresentation of either candidate? There is none.
Ya know Davis, I wonder if it isn't better for all of us, especiall him if he stays out of politics. Politics seems to put people in a kind of "bondage" and some of them seem to become more authentic and morally responsible when they don't have to "play politics." I think he has more freedom to do the right thing now as a non-political person.
I'm trying to analyze which guy wants the job the least but is certainly qualified to do it. So far, really hard to tell in a $20 million campaign with political advisers feeding the candidates with what we want to hear.
Last guy other than Gore that fit this bill to a "T" was George Washington. Maybe he should consider running, we really do know where he stands, and have since he went to the summit as V.P., against the administrations advice, and proposed a reduction of CO2 with the other largest producing nations.
"If you love wealth more than Liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of Freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our Countrymen." -- Samuel Adams, (1722-1803) U.S. Founding Father
May posterity forget that you were one of our Countrymen Tarotlaydee...
this is nonsensical, you act as if Kucinich is a awful person trying to enslave Americans, but you give no backing. explain or stop trying to influence people through mis truths.
See my comments above for some of the evidence that you seem to require. You apparently like Dennis because he's a vegan. That's a great reason to vote for a candidate and to attempt to place him in the highest office in the Country and in the most powerful position in the world. For gods sake, do your research (and do a lot of it) -- just like any good employer would.
the vegan thing was just going off the metaphor in the video, or did you not watch the vid? you keep saying look at my post, but your posts say go somewhere else, why cant you just explain again, that doesnt seem like alot to ask. assuming you know anything about my thought processes or reasoning is ignorant and arrogant.
The way you write (and hence think) is a good indicator of your thought processes, which for you, appear to be somewhat befuddled, unknowledgeable, confused, lazy, and irrational. But I can forgive you for the certain degree of naivety and ignorance that appears to characterize your thoughts, but not for the malaise.
America is in deep trouble, and it's time to wake up and read the writing that's all over the wall. Please choose your candidates very carefully and accordingly, which is all that I ask of anyone.
wow, personal attacks, another great tactic. arrogant and ignorant in assuming you can understand people through short posts. BTW, how can you back someone sponsoring "H.R. 2424: To repeal the Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990 and amendments to that Act." wow, guns in schools, great idea! lets endanger kids.
I said people in general would not follow your links, I did not say I didn't. Again your assuming that you can tell everything about me by a few words I post... very interesting.
By the way, you said you could not forgive me for my malaise. The definition for malaise is; "n. 1. A vague feeling of bodily discomfort, as at the beginning of an illness. 2. A general sense of depression or unease" I feel quite well actually and am not depressed or uneasy... why wouldn't you be able to forgive someone for being ill? I am very well informed and very well read, thanks for painting me as ignorant though.
Hey gmfutube: If I remember correctly he wrote a book about the environment while he was VP or when he was a Senator. But, I'll need to look into that and get the title. But, his interest basically stemmed from the death of his sister from emphaseyma and the fact that his family had raised tobacco and some introspection regarding that.
He may have written a book, but his lifestyle clearly says he doesn't believe the global warming/co2 link, or even take seriously the over use of ANY fuel.
Well, in the movie I noticed, as did everyone, that he traveled everywhere via plane and limo. Plane travel can't be avoided unless you want to take a slow boat to china, but he could have made an impact by by driving around in a hybrid-car.If he has done "green" changes around his home it would be good for him to demonstrate that and talk about his personal changes.
Everyone gets something like a 'carbon rating'(or a similar term) -essentially indicating household emissions/energy output over the course of a year-and Al's was not exactly pristine before or after the film's release. He claims to be 'working on some domestic changes', but it would take an awful lot of those for him to gain lawful entrance into 'I Practice What I Preach' Land...same for Larry David's wife, the producer of the film, with her private jet...
I started an Al Gore for president group on youtube, 500 people joined. Like you, I don't endorse him, but he could add something to the race. Kucinich for V/P?
I think he wants us to think about the scenario. Give us the ability to see the other side and question all the ends of the possibility. :) It's a "think for yourself about it" moment. Like us he doesn't want to jump into any conclusions. He wants to let the idea flow in his head for awhile before making any final decisions.
Where has Gore's courage and conviction been for the last seven years, or for most of his life for that matter? Convenient that he's only seemed to have grown a conscience at this critical moment. Plenty of others have been seeing and speaking about 'inconvenient truths' all along. So my question about Gore is 'why now'?
I'm no Gore groupie, but do you have any idea how long the man has cared about inconvenient truths? Okay, I'll put his personal mansion and grounds energy output aside for now, but he has tried to convince his peers, leaders and the public about this crisis for DECADES.
Meredumais, by fault for not being clear. I had already alluded to why I think Gore's reasoning (and many others) for global warming and strategies to 'fix' it are off. Me asking 'Why now?' is more concerning his recent 'Assault on Reason' in regards to the fascist situation that's been festering since 9/11 than to his environmental platform.
that's not true, as I've stated before his interest began way back when he was a young Senator and held hearings regarding the environment and wrote a book about it when he was a Senator or when he was a VP. why now? Because he can, as a VP it isn't his agenda to follow, that belongs to the President.
I wrote 'by fault'-I meant 'my fault.' however, the context should have shown what I was saying, which was in regards to the topic of his recent book "Assault on Reason"-not his environmental 'concerns.' But if you prefer to stick to this point thats fine too. There's good reason Greens didn't support him in 2000: debatethis(dot)org/gore/enviro/naderopenletter(dot)html#globalwarming
I like your analogy and i could support Gore, however there is a clear vegetarian meal (he also happens to be a vegan) and thats Kucinich. I would rather see Kucinich in office than Gore, and by your videos that I've watched i think he would represent you better as well. Gore may do more good outside of the White House anyway, especially if Kucinich is in it.
ElCarcho, I agree, gore is a more effective force outside of the "beltway", he can be himself and raise awareness about this issue which he has done so well. but, he know, don't you, that the Dems in the establishment aren't going to let him win. I like him too.
Sorry, ElCaracho, not clear here, I'm talking about Kucinich, I meant to say "we know" that the Dems won't let him win, he is "too far to the left." As they say.
"Progressive" Mormon here. Kucinich won't ever win because the People will never elect him. Not only is he way too far left, he also waves that little book on the Constitution around in front of his audiences pretending like he really knows what's in it! Dennis Kucinich has the intent and is currently engaged in voiding your unalienable Rights through Congressional Acts.
Hey Koby, we have to stop meeting this way. Perhaps none of the candidates have the good of the nation at heart. Seems like once they start their campaigns, they become infected with some sort of virus, even the ones I think have some integrity. Ahhh becoming cynical. Yes, so far I like what Ron Paul has to say. We'll see how it goes. I think we need write in candidates...common people, like Davis.
Oh, there your go again. Wait..didn't someone else used to say that all the time and got famous for that line "There you go again" I think he became President.
I think most Americans are very liberal on most things, however there perceptions on what is liberal and what is conservative have been distorted. Also the "little book on the constitution" he waves is not a book on the constitution, but mearly a copy of the constitution. and how do you claim he is "currently engaged in voiding your unalienable Rights through Congressional Acts?" thats just a plain fallacy!
You can see my 25 comment long chain on the BBJ channel for a very specific answer to that question, where I describe in detail, exactly what Dennis, et al are doing. Here's the video id: watch?v=O_HfiW800tU
The title of the video is: "America, No Longer a Democracy"
In addition to that, here is a link of the best (and evidenced) summary that I've seen to date on the destruction of our unalienable Rights since 9/11 (by all 3 branches of Government). This is not a fallacy or an illusion, but is the reality of the current situation: [Sorry, YouTube is blocking the link]
You can go to my channel homepage and in the Description you'll see the link just after the 3rd paragraph.
you should bring your reasons and arguments with you as you travel. you wont win peoples votes by just putting up quotes and not explaining. you should post opinions here and not make others spend there time to get to them, because in reality people are lazy and will just dismiss you.
I already gathered that you suffer from malaise -- both in thought and action. And I'm not "making" you do anything. If you have any desire to learn at all -- which I don't believe that you do -- or to seek other viewpoints, then you would put forth the effort with no fuss.
If you're not concerned about your liberties and Rights, or the future of your Country and your posterity, then there's no reason in wasting my time further with you. You're a lost cause.
considering that climate change is currently occurring on other planets as well as ours, there seems a bigger influence rather than man, and one that we cannot change. I'm not denying responsibility to our environment - I do think Green is the way to go; but it will not change cyclic catastrophe. We need another plan with better understanding.
Such as?? climate change on other planets, is it that or just that we now have the technology to see things we've never seen before??? Natural climate change does happen, sometime as a result of a cataclysmic event, but scientists now know that what we are experiencing now is the result of human activity. It's a fact.
No, it's a theory - one that many scientist say is the most probable. Some disagree. There's no point in being argumentative. Since you included 3?, it seems like it could be new info to you. As such it's difficult in this limited space to discuss relevant data. It doesn't have as much to do with other planets as it does w/ our sun, imo. If your inclined you can research it yourself. Being personally attached to data helps nothing.
Thanks for the information, I'm not being argumentative just asking? I'm not personally attached to anything but the truth, I'm tired of my government attempting to manipulate me and the media. Prefer critical thinking. Thanks
saw inconvenient truth a couple of weeks ago. gotta admit i like what he had 2 say on the environment issue. as far as your vid. goes: the thing that got me was the pic of some guys holding a banner: "who would Jesus bomb?" last time i checked Jesus said something about praying 4 ur enemies. or 2 put in the philosphy of Red Skelton: "I love my enemies. I have to. I made them." peace :)
exactly! if Gore would not have distance himself from Clinton, he would've waltzed in the White House. still, we need someone willing to serve- not someone we must cajole and massage their ego. take a look at Kucinich. peace

I started an Al Gore for president group on youtube, 500 people joined. Like you, I don't endorse him, but he could add something to the race. Kucinich for V/P?
johnlepo 4 years ago
Just curious, why would you start a Gore for President campaign on youtube if you don't endorse him?

I think he wants us to think about the scenario. Give us the ability to see the other side and question all the ends of the possibility. :) It's a "think for yourself about it" moment. Like us he doesn't want to jump into any conclusions. He wants to let the idea flow in his head for awhile before making any final decisions.

Where has Gore's courage and conviction been for the last seven years, or for most of his life for that matter? Convenient that he's only seemed to have grown a conscience at this critical moment. Plenty of others have been seeing and speaking about 'inconvenient truths' all along. So my question about Gore is 'why now'?
basicallyShane 4 years ago
basicallyShane,
Why now???
I'm no Gore groupie, but do you have any idea how long the man has cared about inconvenient truths? Okay, I'll put his personal mansion and grounds energy output aside for now, but he has tried to convince his peers, leaders and the public about this crisis for DECADES.
meredumais 4 years ago
Meredumais, by fault for not being clear. I had already alluded to why I think Gore's reasoning (and many others) for global warming and strategies to 'fix' it are off. Me asking 'Why now?' is more concerning his recent 'Assault on Reason' in regards to the fascist situation that's been festering since 9/11 than to his environmental platform.
basicallyShane 4 years ago
that's not true, as I've stated before his interest began way back when he was a young Senator and held hearings regarding the environment and wrote a book about it when he was a Senator or when he was a VP. why now? Because he can, as a VP it isn't his agenda to follow, that belongs to the President.
maggothon 4 years ago
I wrote 'by fault'-I meant 'my fault.' however, the context should have shown what I was saying, which was in regards to the topic of his recent book "Assault on Reason"-not his environmental 'concerns.' But if you prefer to stick to this point thats fine too. There's good reason Greens didn't support him in 2000: debatethis(dot)org/gore/enviro/naderopenletter(dot)html#globalwarming

Thanks, will check out the book and check out the site.

ElCarcho 4 years ago
ElCarcho, I agree, gore is a more effective force outside of the "beltway", he can be himself and raise awareness about this issue which he has done so well. but, he know, don't you, that the Dems in the establishment aren't going to let him win. I like him too.
maggothon 4 years ago
Sorry, ElCaracho, not clear here, I'm talking about Kucinich, I meant to say "we know" that the Dems won't let him win, he is "too far to the left." As they say.
maggothon 4 years ago
"Progressive" Mormon here. Kucinich won't ever win because the People will never elect him. Not only is he way too far left, he also waves that little book on the Constitution around in front of his audiences pretending like he really knows what's in it! Dennis Kucinich has the intent and is currently engaged in voiding your unalienable Rights through Congressional Acts.

Support RON PAUL for President in 2008!

I think we need write in candidates...common people, like Davis.
maggothon 4 years ago
I guess I should be voting for Mitt since he's Mormon, but he's just not progressive enough for my tastes. He's so... well... '90s ya know? :D
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Oh, there your go again. Wait..didn't someone else used to say that all the time and got famous for that line "There you go again" I think he became President.
maggothon 4 years ago
I think most Americans are very liberal on most things, however there perceptions on what is liberal and what is conservative have been distorted. Also the "little book on the constitution" he waves is not a book on the constitution, but mearly a copy of the constitution. and how do you claim he is "currently engaged in voiding your unalienable Rights through Congressional Acts?" thats just a plain fallacy!
ElCarcho 4 years ago
You can see my 25 comment long chain on the BBJ channel for a very specific answer to that question, where I describe in detail, exactly what Dennis, et al are doing. Here's the video id: watch?v=O_HfiW800tU
The title of the video is: "America, No Longer a Democracy"
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
In addition to that, here is a link of the best (and evidenced) summary that I've seen to date on the destruction of our unalienable Rights since 9/11 (by all 3 branches of Government). This is not a fallacy or an illusion, but is the reality of the current situation: [Sorry, YouTube is blocking the link]
You can go to my channel homepage and in the Description you'll see the link just after the 3rd paragraph.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Ditto Koby, the loss of our rights is a fact, as you state and "scary" how few people seem to understand that.
maggothon 4 years ago
you should bring your reasons and arguments with you as you travel. you wont win peoples votes by just putting up quotes and not explaining. you should post opinions here and not make others spend there time to get to them, because in reality people are lazy and will just dismiss you.
ElCarcho 4 years ago
I already gathered that you suffer from malaise -- both in thought and action. And I'm not "making" you do anything. If you have any desire to learn at all -- which I don't believe that you do -- or to seek other viewpoints, then you would put forth the effort with no fuss.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
If you're not concerned about your liberties and Rights, or the future of your Country and your posterity, then there's no reason in wasting my time further with you. You're a lost cause.

considering that climate change is currently occurring on other planets as well as ours, there seems a bigger influence rather than man, and one that we cannot change. I'm not denying responsibility to our environment - I do think Green is the way to go; but it will not change cyclic catastrophe. We need another plan with better understanding.
basicallyShane 4 years ago
Such as?? climate change on other planets, is it that or just that we now have the technology to see things we've never seen before??? Natural climate change does happen, sometime as a result of a cataclysmic event, but scientists now know that what we are experiencing now is the result of human activity. It's a fact.
maggothon 4 years ago
No, it's a theory - one that many scientist say is the most probable. Some disagree. There's no point in being argumentative. Since you included 3?, it seems like it could be new info to you. As such it's difficult in this limited space to discuss relevant data. It doesn't have as much to do with other planets as it does w/ our sun, imo. If your inclined you can research it yourself. Being personally attached to data helps nothing.
basicallyShane 4 years ago

Kohl93 4 years ago
exactly! if Gore would not have distance himself from Clinton, he would've waltzed in the White House. still, we need someone willing to serve- not someone we must cajole and massage their ego. take a look at Kucinich. peace
