macho man and elizabeth not in the HOF are you kidding me?!!! Wow they both had more influence in this sport just as much as any legends thats in there!!!
Savage is snubbed in WWE Hall of Fame once again. I agree its a joke, other wrestlers dead or retired like Big Bossman, Tatanka, Jim Cornette, Rikishi, Chris Candido, Raven, British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart should be in than Pete Rose, Drew Carey, or Mike Tyson who never suited in an wrestling match.
@earp123456 i said the same but randy said himself he wouldnt wanna go into the hof unless his bro and father were in it also. but still he deserves it. so does the bulldgo, rick rude, owen hart, jake the snake exc
I was one of those kids that the Macho Man inspired. Even after the whole "Mega Powers" thing, when he turned "bad" and ended fighting Hogan in Wrestlemania V, I was still his loyal fan and rooting for him all the way. Which is probably why I always hated Hogan, because he took Macho's belt. I'm so so sad he passed away. I just got done watching "The Randy Savage Ultimate Collection" video on Netflix with my kid and he loved it and now he wants a Macho action figure. We'll miss you Macho!
Just to show you how classy Ric Flair is he's even helping Eric Bischoff's son in his storyline in TNA wrestling, and don't forget that Eric Bischoff is somebody that Flair can't stand, but Flair is putting all that hatred aside for the time being to help Garrett Bischoff out in his program with Ric, Eric Bischoff and Gunner. That shows me a lot of class.
First thing that comes to my mind when Ric Flair talks about the Macho Man Randy Savage is their match they had at Wrestlemania VIII. It was a classic. People talk more about Piper and Bret's match than they do about Savage and Flair's match at Wrestlemania VIII, but those two went out there and got it poppin'. They killed it in one of the greatest World Wrestling Federation Championship matches of all time at Wrestlemania VIII. I was blown away by how good that match was.
Probably the most respected guy within the business. He came from the Southern belt where his family (Poffo's) ran the territory and he was as professional as it got. He came up the hard way and paid his dues the hard way because his dad was an old-school guy who preached character before anything else.
People carry guns for protection it's got nothing to do with paranoia.
Savage rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Before he died there was a line of people going out of their way to shit on him in shoot interviews and the like. Someone dies and they automatically become a saint. Everyone forgets about the allegations of abuse against him with Elizabeth, locking her in a closet and such. If the fans mourn, the business acts like they mourn too. Always listening to the fans.
Watch, when Warrior dies, if there's a huge outpouring of emotion from wrestling fans every single prick on the Self Destruction DVD will change their tune. A complete 180, like we've seen them do repeatedly with Hogan. Hogan's the best, then he's scum, Hogans the greatest getting cheered over Rock in Toronto, then he's scum for refusing to put over HBK. This business is always working you.
What bugs me about wrestling as a long time fan is the BS and how we can never know what's real and what's not. So was Flair working us all the times he talked **** about Savage? Or is he working us now because he doesn't want to insult a dead worker?
@Vamphaery I don't recall Flair saying anything really bad about Savage. He said that Savage liked to memorize & rehearse his big matches. Savage had a ring set up in his yard & he would have Flair at the house practicing. Flair said that there was obvious tension between Savage & Elizabeth at the time. Flair also used to tease Savage about his frugal ways, but it was always good natured teasing. They weren't best friends, but I don't think they hated each other.
@NaughtybyNaitcha Well In Flair's book he did comment on that like you said, but I don't think he meant it in a bad way. I remember Bret Hart in his rebuttal article to Flair actually defended Savage in saying there was nothing wrong with a guy wanting to make sure his match was perfect and if anything it helped the ring pyschology. One thing about Savage is that no two matches of his were the same. He always mixed it up.
Wasn't Ric Flair really paying tribute to Eddie Guerrero after he died? Fact is 2005 death of Eddie's was even bigger than Flair's 2008 supposed retirement and yes Macho Man Randy Savage death was significant in 2011. RIP Eddie Guerrero and Randy Savage.

Hall of Fame bound: Macho Man Randy Savage, Miss Elizabeth, Sid Justice, Ravishing Rick Rude, Big Bossman, Ultimate Warrior, Slick, Virgil, Kamala, Kevin Sullivan, Earthquake, King Kong Bundy, Bad News Brown, Steiner Bros (Rick and Scott), Marty Jannetty, Crush, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Razor Ramon, Diesel, Doink the Clown, and the Bushwackers (Luke and Butch).
@ontheroof99 hell........Ric trashed TNA wrestling in an interview when he was with WWE, and look where he is now. In TNA! So.......Ric Flair is an obvious walking contradiction.
Flair exudes class! He is respectful and has done probably more for the business than anyone. However, Flair has always been brutally honest and pulled no punches when stating his views on other wrestlers or anything else. If you have alot of knowledge about the biz and its history, you would know that Flair has been almost 100% accurate in his views. Flair respected Randy and did the honor for him many times over. Their match at Wrestlemania 8 is one of the greatest and a bit underrated.
@MetalheadJay78 Flair showed no class to Bret Hart and trashed Foley, him and Savage, three of the best ever. Flair is not classy....he's a two faced, insecure suck up. Good career, sure but incredibally overrated. Thankfully he was alright in this interview though.
@BSabres87 You are wrong and should do more homework before dissing Slick Ric. Bret Hart was the first one to denigrate Flair, not the other way around. And Flair didn't trash Foley. He told the truth and Foley actually agreed with him. He was a glorified stuntman because he lacked technical expertise. Nothing wrong with that, Foley is a good showman and a good guy. Flair was never overrated. He was simply the best at everything for longer than most, period. That makes him the greatest ever.
@MetalheadJay78 The reason Flair could not draw in Japan is that he did the same shit over and over again and that made no headway with them. He also did not strike them as being "a tough guy" like either Bruno, Harley, Brody, Brisco, the Funks or their own stars like Kenta Kobashi, etc.
@RPenta Don't let the looks fool you. Flair wasn't the biggest, but he was tough. He had to be to survive in the business back then. Just because he didn't go around bullying people & picking fights doesn't mean he couldn't hold his own. Flair's a sweetheart. He doesn't have a mean-spirited bone in his body & he was always so generous, buying the boys drinks, selling for them, and putting them over. He didn't have beef w/ those guys you mentioned but for some reason they had beef w/ him.
@NaughtybyNaitcha You have to be tough to survive in the wrestling business. It's cutthroat. You can't ever judge a book by its cover. You have to be physically tough to put up with the physical toll wrestling takes on your body, and you have tough mentally to put up with being away from your fam and dealing with all the politics backstage. People think its a dream come true when they get to live their dream and wrestle. A lot of people don't realize how TOUGH the business is.
@RPenta From what understand Bruno disrespected him first when Bruno was doing a NWA show after Brunos failure of a son wrestled and Bruno tried to get him over in the NWA and Bruno refused to shake Ric's hand and said Flair was a piece of garbage because he felt Flair wasn't a good champion Bruno felt the champ should always be a baby face and not heel that is how the WWE does it and he felt everyone should do it
@MetalheadJay78 No SHITHEADJAY it was the always lyin, looks like i'm dyin, ass kissin, backstabbing son of bitch who has had heat with Honky Tonk Man, Bret Hart, Scott Steiner, Shane Douglas as well as Bruno--I believe Bruno when he says that there were people around who saw that Flair caught sight of Bruno and decided to take a hike-he pussied out and thought Bruno would have some words with him.
Bruno drew money wherever he appeared in Japan, San Francisco, South America, etc.
@MetalheadJay78 Bruno needs to take his place in the HOF and stop bitching. I respect Bruno Sammartino a great deal, but at the end of the day the man needs to stop his bitching. The business has moved on. Yeah, its more vulgar, the product is a lot more edgier and they do a lot of cussing and things Bruno doesn't approve of, but its like at the end of the day, dude come on! STOP YOUR BITCHING. People want to see Bruno Sammartino inducted in the HOF some day.
@MetalheadJay78 What's Bruno excuse going to be for why he can't be inducted into the WWE HOF? Oh, I can't do it because I disapprove of all the profanity, violence, cussing, and explicit sexual content in wrestling. I mean, come on! Sammartino needs to learn that at the end of the day it can't be all about you and your values that you brought with you from Italty over to the US. At the end of the day you have to stop the bitching and GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT.
@MetalHeadJay78 People want to see Sammartino inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame some day Jay. That's what they want, because they're wrestling fans. They don't want to hear his childish bitching how much the business has changed and shit. They want the man to take his rightful place in WWE history. They aren't asking for much. The least Bruno could do is give the people what they want and stop his bitching.
@RPenta Or the lack of class Sammartino showed by refusing to shake Flair's hand at an event. Sammartino ignored Flair due to comments made in his book stating Sammartino was "a Northeast star who couldn’t draw fans outside New York. Flair was telling the truth. I lived in the south growing up and Bruno was not popular in the least down there. Bruno is the childish prick here, not Flair.
@ontheroof99 he sure did said he hated the fact he like to choreograph his fights and that he lacked spontaneity, which he said made a great wrestler. i do love ric flar a lot but he does talk a lot of shit. macho man was my favotire wrestler of all time. i liked him more as a bad guy than anything. but whatever ric flair said si water unde the bridge. when a comrade passes shit changes i think his memories in this shoot are real and sincere
@drvn8 Yeah its only been two months and I still cant believe it.I still cry about it sometimes and I barely cry about anything.Ya know, its a shame because a lot of ppl speculated tht he was gonna be back soon after he did the promo for WWE Allstars and I would have loved it to happen
@mdhotstuff No doubt about it. IMHO, one of the top 20 wrestlers of all-time. He started back in Charlotte in the '70's during the territory days and paid his dues big time. Definitely one of the most charismatic and athletic wrestlers ever as well. Pound-for-pound, as gut tough as they come. The man should've been inducted years ago, but the only thing left to do now is to honor him posthumously.
@ontheroof99 No, he didn't trash him. He just said that Savage liked to rehearse his matches step by step while Flair prefers to call it in the ring. Steamboat said the same thing, so did Honky Tonk Man. Savage would write out his matches on a notepad & expect his opponents to memorize them move for move. He even had wrestlers over at his house to practice. Wanting your matches to be perfect wasn't a bad thing, but it couldn't have been fun for his opponents.
@ThatDelRioGuy That's the dream. But after seeing someone like Drew Carey make it before all of those legends you listed, it makes me think it'll take a long time for some of them.
@ontheroof99 I don't think he trashed him. He just said he wasn't a fan a rehearsing matches like Randy did before WM. And he also said that Randy let his personal life effect his professional life at the time of their program in 92. I don't think that would constitute trashing somebody. Now if you wanna talk about what he said about Mick Foley, Bret Hart, DDP, Shane Douglas and others, I would agree.
@ontheroof99 Yes but just because he had negative things to say about him doesn't mean he wanted him to die. Also as Wrestlers get older they learn to forgive and forget the past and show mutual respect for what each wrestler contributed to the business.
shit even flair thought it was bullshit they never inducted him into the hall of fame when he was alive. I know for sure the wwe is going to put him in their now but it sucks that he was never in their while he was ALIVE that's the part that sucks. rip macho man

@watanabehefuml Not sure what you mean here, these are 2nd class wrestlers, although some I find entertaining. I met the Masked Superstar. Wells he said he was.
lol,I bet there are about 5 masked superstars out there. I met dynamite kid in Manchester UK, he's a rotten piece of work. Nothing like his wrestling persona - I loved the bulldogs.
Ric, you are a great man for the kind words. My mom loved watching you and she would laugh and laugh seeing you get beat up. She bought your book and one of the last she read before she passed. I have the book now today. Thanks for all the good times.
Savage and Flair had some amazing matches in the WWF and WCW as well. Two of my all-time favorite wrestlers, Macho Man and the Naitch. I will never forgive McMahon for not putting Macho in the HOF while he was still living. RIP Macho Man Randy Savage, Oooohhh Yeahhh, dig it!!!
You watched on Randy Savage interview....... and you never for got him. Thats how amazing the guy was get just got your full attention as soon as he was on the screen. RIP Randy Ooooohh YEA
@edreese1977 Yeah it is pretty damn pathetic, its not the first time Vince has done this and it won't be the last. He has crossed the line of being a business man to being a complete asshole. Hell, he crossed that line a long time ago.
Should have been in the hall of fame, but personally (whether i'm being a asshole for saying this or not) it will be a tragedy if he is inducted now. The only thing that will come out of it is Vince McMahon making more money off another dead wrestler.
@Tougie24 ok h how bout you shut up ya know.If yur just being biased like tht then everyone is going to judge you especially in wrestling so you're the idiot dont start with me
@kidz919 I'm being bias? Please explain how because I'd love to know. People can judge me all they want for my opinion, it's not going to change it. They an judge me for my political beliefs or whether or not I believe Savage should be in the hall, makes no difference to me. If I'm an idiot for having an opinion, than I'm not different than any other person on this planet, including you. So you sir, should not start with me, especially because you know your opinion in this disscussion isnt valid
@Tougie24 I wasnt talkin about Macho Man.I was talking about how you said tht u dont watch new wrestling (from WWE).Thats why I said you were being biased.Do you have any idea of how hypocritical u sounded?you said tht nobody is going to change your opinion so basically you were trying to say tht your opinion counts but then at the same time u said that my opinion isnt valid in this discussion well if it isnt valid then your opinion isnt valid either so dont start wit me pal u started it not me
@kidz919 Last comment for you. What does the current wrestling product have to do with Randy Savage? Savage has nothing to do with the current wrestling product. Im a hypocrite because I don't watch the current product? Ok. Your opinion in this discussion isn't valid because your opinion is focused solely on your detirmination to "prove" I "started this". My opinion counts as much as anyone elses, whether or not you or anyone else cares for it, I could care less. You have that right as well.
@Tougie24 Last comment for you, apparently you dont even pay attention to my comments at all, like I said before you're just run through it.Did I say at all that Randy Savage had anything to do at all with the current wrestling product? No I didnt, actually u said that you dont watch new wrestling on a Randy Savage interview which doesnt make sense. My point is to prove that you're not a real wrestling fan,it doesnt have anything to do with the fact that you "started this".My opinion isnt valid and
@GCWJCTJProductions WWE doesnt make money off of dead wrestlers? REALLY????????? Savage's DVD sales didnt go up after his death? What about Mr. Perfect's dvd? Eddie Guerrero? All the dvd's involving Owen Hart? The Greatest Family In Wrestling? Ok, yup, WWE doesnt make money off of dead wrestlers.
There shouldn't be one run by WWe as they've cheapened the inductions into it as much as they've cheapened winning any one of their titles. It should be run by an independent council recognized by all promotions. If that can't happen then yeah, forget it, it's all garbage. Drew Carrey? Come on! Even someone like Koko Beware cheapens it. I'm not even sure someone like Curt Hennig deserves a spot and he was one of my all time favorites.
Many wrestlers arevery grateful for celberities in the HOF, i don't agree with drew carry though. Some should be the the celebe wing, the ones at early wrestlemanias.
Curt henning is a legend, he definatly desevres it. Koko, no.
Nice to see Naich still has respect for Randy in spite of any differences they might have had. I remember the first time I saw Randy reach out and touch someone with that trademark flying elbow... I was forever hooked. Thanks for all the years of greatness Randy, you will live forever in my heart.
@ed2kou1 And if u disagree with my comment that's fine. But there's no reason to be a name calling douchebag like everyone else on this site.Try showing a little maturity.
It's the reason, there's video on Youtube of Hogan talking about it.And Flair's the asshole, not me.Parading around on TNA wearing his WWE hall of fame ring? He's a fuckin scumbag.Oh yeah...blow me Jackass!!
The reason Randy isn't in the hall of fame is because Vince is still pissed off that Macho Man took Stephanie's virginity. It's well documented, even Hogan admitted he knew about it.For Flair to say he doesn't know the reason is just another example of what a lying piece of shit he is.RIP Randy, you were one of the best.
Or at WM 6 which it was Dusty Rhodes and Sapphire with Miss Elizabeth vs Randy Savage and Queen Sherri only Dusty is the only one still alive. RIP Macho Man
I bet you all now that somehow Vince will induct him to the HOF, only because of his passing away. Sure, he couldn't do it while Macho Man was still alive. What an ass.
R.I.P. Randy Savage. I'm graduating college in a week, and you can bet your ass that when they play that graduation march, I'll be thinking about the Macho Man the whole way through.
Thanks for the awesome memories Randy.I grew up watching you in the 80's and 90's and was always blown away by your larger than life character,a true icon who is gone but most certainly never forgotten OOOHHH YEAAAH!! xx r.i.p Randy Savage x
i remember as a kid watching ric flair and macho man do some great matches it really sucks that he died but shit happens i guess he really deserved to be in the HOF already but if he isnt in the hof next year it will be a travesty rest in piece my friend
the match with Flair was good, the match with Steamboat was beyond belief, but if you really want to see the performance Savage brought of people, search WM 7 against Warrior, he was by FAR the hardest working big name guy for those days.
I heard they can't induct Savage because his family won't allow it

@MetalheadJay78 Flair showed no class to Bret Hart and trashed Foley, him and Savage, three of the best ever. Flair is not classy....he's a two faced, insecure suck up. Good career, sure but incredibally overrated. Thankfully he was alright in this interview though.
BSabres87 5 months ago
@BSabres87 You are wrong and should do more homework before dissing Slick Ric. Bret Hart was the first one to denigrate Flair, not the other way around. And Flair didn't trash Foley. He told the truth and Foley actually agreed with him. He was a glorified stuntman because he lacked technical expertise. Nothing wrong with that, Foley is a good showman and a good guy. Flair was never overrated. He was simply the best at everything for longer than most, period. That makes him the greatest ever.
MetalheadJay78 4 months ago
@MetalheadJay78 The reason Flair could not draw in Japan is that he did the same shit over and over again and that made no headway with them. He also did not strike them as being "a tough guy" like either Bruno, Harley, Brody, Brisco, the Funks or their own stars like Kenta Kobashi, etc.
RPenta 4 months ago
@RPenta Don't let the looks fool you. Flair wasn't the biggest, but he was tough. He had to be to survive in the business back then. Just because he didn't go around bullying people & picking fights doesn't mean he couldn't hold his own. Flair's a sweetheart. He doesn't have a mean-spirited bone in his body & he was always so generous, buying the boys drinks, selling for them, and putting them over. He didn't have beef w/ those guys you mentioned but for some reason they had beef w/ him.
NaughtybyNaitcha 3 months ago
@NaughtybyNaitcha You have to be tough to survive in the wrestling business. It's cutthroat. You can't ever judge a book by its cover. You have to be physically tough to put up with the physical toll wrestling takes on your body, and you have tough mentally to put up with being away from your fam and dealing with all the politics backstage. People think its a dream come true when they get to live their dream and wrestle. A lot of people don't realize how TOUGH the business is.
lildwayne21 2 months ago
@MetalheadJay78 Like the class he showed by dissing Bruno Sammartino, right?
RPenta 4 months ago
@RPenta From what understand Bruno disrespected him first when Bruno was doing a NWA show after Brunos failure of a son wrestled and Bruno tried to get him over in the NWA and Bruno refused to shake Ric's hand and said Flair was a piece of garbage because he felt Flair wasn't a good champion Bruno felt the champ should always be a baby face and not heel that is how the WWE does it and he felt everyone should do it
McStarkiller666 4 months ago
@McStarkiller666 Yeah, Bruno Sammartino has always been a one-dimensional, childish dick.
MetalheadJay78 4 months ago
@MetalheadJay78 No SHITHEADJAY it was the always lyin, looks like i'm dyin, ass kissin, backstabbing son of bitch who has had heat with Honky Tonk Man, Bret Hart, Scott Steiner, Shane Douglas as well as Bruno--I believe Bruno when he says that there were people around who saw that Flair caught sight of Bruno and decided to take a hike-he pussied out and thought Bruno would have some words with him.
Bruno drew money wherever he appeared in Japan, San Francisco, South America, etc.
RPenta 4 months ago
@MetalheadJay78 Bruno needs to take his place in the HOF and stop bitching. I respect Bruno Sammartino a great deal, but at the end of the day the man needs to stop his bitching. The business has moved on. Yeah, its more vulgar, the product is a lot more edgier and they do a lot of cussing and things Bruno doesn't approve of, but its like at the end of the day, dude come on! STOP YOUR BITCHING. People want to see Bruno Sammartino inducted in the HOF some day.
lildwayne21 2 months ago
@MetalheadJay78 What's Bruno excuse going to be for why he can't be inducted into the WWE HOF? Oh, I can't do it because I disapprove of all the profanity, violence, cussing, and explicit sexual content in wrestling. I mean, come on! Sammartino needs to learn that at the end of the day it can't be all about you and your values that you brought with you from Italty over to the US. At the end of the day you have to stop the bitching and GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT.
lildwayne21 2 months ago
@MetalHeadJay78 People want to see Sammartino inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame some day Jay. That's what they want, because they're wrestling fans. They don't want to hear his childish bitching how much the business has changed and shit. They want the man to take his rightful place in WWE history. They aren't asking for much. The least Bruno could do is give the people what they want and stop his bitching.
lildwayne21 2 months ago
@RPenta Or the lack of class Sammartino showed by refusing to shake Flair's hand at an event. Sammartino ignored Flair due to comments made in his book stating Sammartino was "a Northeast star who couldn’t draw fans outside New York. Flair was telling the truth. I lived in the south growing up and Bruno was not popular in the least down there. Bruno is the childish prick here, not Flair.

mdhotstuff 8 months ago
@mdhotstuff No doubt about it. IMHO, one of the top 20 wrestlers of all-time. He started back in Charlotte in the '70's during the territory days and paid his dues big time. Definitely one of the most charismatic and athletic wrestlers ever as well. Pound-for-pound, as gut tough as they come. The man should've been inducted years ago, but the only thing left to do now is to honor him posthumously.

Nighttrain79797 8 months ago
@ontheroof99 No, he didn't trash him. He just said that Savage liked to rehearse his matches step by step while Flair prefers to call it in the ring. Steamboat said the same thing, so did Honky Tonk Man. Savage would write out his matches on a notepad & expect his opponents to memorize them move for move. He even had wrestlers over at his house to practice. Wanting your matches to be perfect wasn't a bad thing, but it couldn't have been fun for his opponents.

respect from the greatest wrestler of all time!! he's not in the hall of fame because of a small stunt that pissed vince off!
rtfuhj 8 months ago
@ontheroof99 I don't think he trashed him. He just said he wasn't a fan a rehearsing matches like Randy did before WM. And he also said that Randy let his personal life effect his professional life at the time of their program in 92. I don't think that would constitute trashing somebody. Now if you wanna talk about what he said about Mick Foley, Bret Hart, DDP, Shane Douglas and others, I would agree.
landinmycourt 8 months ago
@ontheroof99 Yes but just because he had negative things to say about him doesn't mean he wanted him to die. Also as Wrestlers get older they learn to forgive and forget the past and show mutual respect for what each wrestler contributed to the business.

If I'm an idiot for having an opinion, than I'm not different than any other person on this planet, including you. So you sir, should not start with me, especially because you know your opinion in this disscussion isnt valid
Tougie24 8 months ago
@Tougie24 I wasnt talkin about Macho Man.I was talking about how you said tht u dont watch new wrestling (from WWE).Thats why I said you were being biased.Do you have any idea of how hypocritical u sounded?you said tht nobody is going to change your opinion so basically you were trying to say tht your opinion counts but then at the same time u said that my opinion isnt valid in this discussion well if it isnt valid then your opinion isnt valid either so dont start wit me pal u started it not me
kidz919 8 months ago
@kidz919 Last comment for you. What does the current wrestling product have to do with Randy Savage? Savage has nothing to do with the current wrestling product. Im a hypocrite because I don't watch the current product? Ok. Your opinion in this discussion isn't valid because your opinion is focused solely on your detirmination to "prove" I "started this". My opinion counts as much as anyone elses, whether or not you or anyone else cares for it, I could care less. You have that right as well.

The hall od Fame is made for condributions to the business, the WWE doesn't make money over dead wrestlers, their ratings usually go down.
Its impossible to not make money with the HOF, but who cares? thats like saying there shouldn't be one.

Tougie24 5 months ago
@Tougie24 your point is? i said they mad emoeny off wrestlers.
Whats wrong with making money honoring them in dvds?nothing
what do youe xpect them to do, give them out for free
GCWJCTJProductions 5 months ago
@GCWJCTJProductions
I'm not even sure someone like Curt Hennig deserves a spot and he was one of my all time favorites.
jackiedegracia 4 months ago
@jackiedegracia I was not talking about your arguement.
