  • Dam good job putting that piece together. Great vid thanks for sharing

  • You should design guns for MW3

  • I thought I was in for an SXEPHIL video with that intro song

  • sweet vid bro....im picking my AR tomorrow

  • Comment removed

  • very nice review i am geting one of these by next month how expensive is the ammo?

  • @jcena1986 You can get a 1000 rounds for around $310 not including shipping

  • Great video!

  • Can you give me some tips, I just got my s&wm&p 15 (did a review on it) and I don't know how to zero in my Eotech. Can you PM me with some tips?

  • I can't get my front site block off my Mp 15 can the pin be punched out ?

  • great review. very humble and very informative.

  • very nice! i just picked up a smith and wesson myself and i cant wait to put sum goodies on it

  • very nice build, congrats!

  • any htoughts on the new m&p15 sporter? It does not have a foreward assis, but i hear they are made well enough thtat you dont need it. I have a budy who can get me one for about $550 and figure i can always get an upper later with better features.

  • Nice gun and great upgrade job. I just picked up a new S&W 811003 OR for $850! I am adding Bushnell 4/32 scope and plan on magpul sights, failzero bolt carrier kit, foregrip w/bipod attached to magpul carbine handguard. I also picked up sig sauer 522 for $400 new!

  • @vettepowertrip I have heard nothing but good things about those bolt and carrier kits

  • Thats a very nice rifle. I think you might have sold me on the S&W. Im currently looking at one of these and a Norinco Model M4 Carbine. Thanks for the rundown of your additions too. The customizable aspect of this rifle is exactly what i want. Sadly though they cost $1,785 CAD. Maybe a little saving and i can pick one up!

  • @demosthenets Wait till this weekend when you see the replacement I have for it. Hint: it has a piston and it is flat out awesome. Plus it comes with avoid amount of the custom parts out of the box that I had to add to my S&W.

  • @natetinstman cant wait!

  • I recommend getting a magpul MOE stock. I got 1

  • good video bro!!!!!

  • Cool video, and to anyone that thinks this a even in the same class as a .22 you are ignorant. The .223 and 5.56 are a centerfire cartrige. Yes that is right a high powered rifle. The 5.56 is one of themost deadly calibers made due to the fact that upon impact it tumbles adn destroys flesh adn organs. That is why they are used by MOST civilized nations as the military caliber choice.

  • @TheDigitalDungeon i have heard the 7.62x39 is a "hotter" round that will penetrate body armor better but it seems that the ar version overall if mantained is much better to trust your life to than the ak

  • Nice gun man, ill be building one just like it real soon

  • im sorry, more to say... with all the arguing about how effective rounds are, in a defensive situation the chance that one round is actually gonna do the job is quite unrealistic. I don't care if its a .22 or a .45 im putting more than 1 round in any bad dude that wants my life. I'm not saying i dont care which i have but at the end of the day you have to be able to hit the target (multiple times) so if you can't handle a .45 get a .22. or a shotgun so you have a better chance of one and done :)

  • Sorry im talking so much but im a very opinionated person (obviously)... but i felt like i should say this is nothing against the creator of this video or bashing AR15 rifles... i love em and they are my favorite weapon to fire. i left these comments so maybe someone will put a cheap reliable shotgun in their closet so that if god forbid anything actually happens they can actually "defend" their life how I believe is the most effect way of doing so.... I'm done now. Be safe.

  • oh and i have an old 30-30 sitting right beside the shotgun with rounds in the bag just in case ;) anyone wanna come break into my house?

  • i'd much rather grab my 12 gauge mossberg, uncased cause its cheap as hell, with an unzipped backpack of shells sitting right beside it that i can stuff my pockets with and take the bag. If you wanna race and see who could be ready to DEFEND their home faster try me. Now if you actually keep an AR ready to go with loaded mags then hey more power to you but i would never keep my M&P 15 like that. that sucker is for fun and because i love weapons not to protect my home.

  • Here's my problem with an AR for home defense, they cost a lot, you're gonna want to keep in a case, especially with all these cool(expensive) sights and grips to make your weapon better for CQB. In a DEFENSE situation it is not practical to go to your closet and open up your case to get a firearm that most likely isn't ready to go. (I wouldn't keep my EOTech on my AR in my closet unprotected... would you?). Plus I don't want to ruin mags by keeping them loaded all the time.

  • Dude, you have a very nice rifle, but I got one question- what are you going to do if you have to use this lovely $2500 rifle to defend your home and the police confiscate your rifle until they adjudicate your case? I would rather give the cops my $200 shotgun or a much cheaper carbine (like a AK) to rust away in the evidence locker.

But overall, a great video and a very nice weapon.

  • For those talking about the .223 and referring to it as a .22, there is a world of difference in the two. While a .22 is not a powerhouse, and is usually used for sport shooting, the .223 round is almost identical to the 5.56 NATO which is what is used by the military and can indeed kill! Even a .22LR can be deadly though. For home defense I personally use a 12G, but have four .223/5.56 AR-15s and would not hesitate to grab it in a pinch. They are just as deadly, just takes more aim.

  • I'm calling it as it is stated on the box. Hollow Points are what the are referred to in the catalog as well as on the box from Hornady. Yes they have a polymer tip but they can still be hollowpoints just like Hornady Critical defense and others.

  • That's not a hollow point. Its a polymer tipped bullet. Pretty good looking rifle though.

  • I love my AR rifle, also love the Eotech holographic sight. Working on an AR 15 pistol build because of the hassle of getting a sbr through the ATF.

  • i dont know about anyone else but i sure as fuck wouldnt want a 22 for home defense

  • @joedirtyy you clearly don't know a whole hell of a lot about what a 22 round can do in the arms of someone who knows what they are doing, high velocity, smaller exit wound less collateral damages. the bullet is small and traveling so fast when it makes contact with something other than simpl target practice it frags nicely

  • @jetripplef well ya, but it has no knockdown power. its not gonna stop someone from comin for you unless you shoot em in the face. but you can miss with a 223 or a 45 and your gonna knock someone on their ass

  • @joedirtyy stop making retarded comments, although the ar-15 shoots a 22 cal round, it's not your father's 22lr that you shoot on the weekends.first off, its a heavier 22 and it's traveling at 3000+ fps (FEET PER SECOND) IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT BALLISTIC PERFORMANCE YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER.

If not, ask all those ragheads that are 6 feet below as i write if they thought a 223 round wouldn't kill em. if u miss with a 22 u also miss with a .45, best for home defense,12 ga shotgun,nomormovies4u

  • Thanks for the videos, I've enjoyed them. You mentioned switching vertical foregrips and I'm sure you probably have by now but, just in case, I've been singing the praises of the the Tapco Intrafuse ever since I put it on my Stag. I've got the short model and I love it because its oblong instead of round and feels really comfortable to use.

  • great video man. shot the same rifle w/ the same setup except freefloated 2day at the range. awesome rifle. cant wait to finish building my m468

  • Mil-Spec stock is nice i have an M&P15T i've changed mine with Magpul MIAD, Asap plate, VFG, and CTR stock with a cheek raise(neg. on the cheek raise with the stock not fully extended it interfears with charging) and XTM rails with a burris rapidfire sight and troy flip up battle sights. =) i can say im really happy about the M&P15 ive put 800rds with no problems and no cleaning i just recently cleaned it.

  • Beauty! I've got my eye on a base model right now at the local gun shop but they want way too much for it!!

  • nice video, appreciate the extra mile

  • looks just like mine but i have a troy free float rail and a trijicon acog

  • sweet, how do those hold up and stay on the rail? and how comfortable are they, too round or what.

  • @stekrirade if you're referring to the magpul rail covers they have a track that runs down the middle of the cover on the back that has lips to clip around the rails themselves. I love them! They hold on excellently and are great to hold on to. The make the handguard a little thicker so for me it's easy to grip the rifle. I give them a 10 (plus they aren't really pricey either).

  • did you say you have magpul xt rail covers on that?

  • thats right

  • That is 1 GREAT lookin AR. man. 5/5

  • you should change out your flash supporser. I have the same rifle. i changed mine out to a Yankee hill Phantom Comp. And why did you go with the hogue pistol grip? I changed mine out to the Magpul Moe grip feels great in the hand. Also check out the magpul aluminum trigger guard.

  • I did change to the MIAD a few weeks ago. I did a review I think last week. But I agree it's far superior. I liked the Hogue for the finger grooves and the non-slip grip. I have them on my 1911s. I am looking at the the Phantom. Hard hard is it to install? Thanks for watching and for the comment.

  • if you take the phantom to a gun smith its pretty damn easy of course but i do every thing myself. It has to be indexed meaning it has to be in a certin postion it comes with a crush washer and you have to put alot of tourqe in order to get it in the right postion. Granted i was doing this by myself with no vise or special tools. But its worth it its great espically if you have to use it as a CQB weapon a jab to the chest with that is going to hurt like hell

  • Is it also a muzzle break or primarily just a flash suppressor?

  • its primarily a muzzle break

  • Could you do a review on you surefire scout light I was considering buying one?

  • very cool mate

Only if I could get one :(

  • My M&P 15 will arrive on Tuesday! Can't wait to shoot it! Did you look at AimPoint before you buy the EOTech? I don't have a clue which sight to buy when I get my rifle.

  • I went with EOTech for a couple of reasons: 1) Price - same quality for half the price and all the same features. 2) The larger 65 MOA ring allows for quicker acquisition. 3) Reputation - This sight is used by some of the most elite special forces and law enforcement divisions world wide... nuff said.... Lastly - the ability to use like a HUD in a fighter aircraft makes it awesome for close in engagements and great for co witnessing I'll put up a video about this soon.
