  • I was just diagnosed at the ER tonight with a retinal detachment.... I gotta say they beter put my ass to SLEEP to do anything like this lol

  • how do you detatch your retina?

  • WONDERFUL ********

  • My brother is going to do this right now :"(

  • Don't let this video scare you. If you think you might have a detached retina or any other eye problem, see your eye doctor immediately. Go to someone good; do a little research on the internet, ask people who might know. Just don't go to anybody -- but go!

  • guys 'm a cashier and 2 days ago in line where i never thought something might harm me, a chemical bottle, where its cap cam off, then its nozzle as well, trying to get the nozzle back on, looking closely at the nozzle, pushing it back on, so I sprayed my eyes,w washed my eyes, then the other day to the doctor, who saw a suspected retinal detachment, my question, how dangerous is it and what if i wait to treat it, does it get worse with time, would i get blind? thanks in advance.

  • omg there so rough with that guys little eye. :(

  • today i read your comment.i know a good eye surgen Dr.Tayab in Lahor.Doctor hospital canal road.

  • i had this happen in november and they literally removed it. but thats fucked how they remove it and yea my retina was detached from a hockey stick that was swong at my face right under my eye

  • I had this done when I was 11, on november 22. 2009 i am now almost 14, need to go for lense replacement

  • @Torypeppler What does it do?

  • @Torypeppler damn...

  • Thumbs up if this made your eyes hurt.

  • I had a retinal detachment and an scleral buckle and vitrectomy done in my left eye. This is the most painful surgery i have ever had so far. You have to deal with the pain for at least 3 months. Floaters and very limited vision is the result of the surgery. Eye pressure pain a great issue too after the surgery for few weeks.

  • hi there. about a month and a half ago, me and my dad got into a fight, and unintentionally, i punched him in the eye and it cracked his eye open. he went the next morning to the hospital fro surgery to sew the eye back together. the doctors told him that the eye looks like a squished grape. it had a little tear in it. anyway, he got back his results from a screening just today, and they told him that he has damage to the retina. my dad tells me that he cant see anything but a little light

  • he says its like looking at a broken tv set. you can see but everything is cracked and he can only see light when he looks at it directly. what my main concern is, is if this damage is repairable.and if so, what are the chances he will see the same way he used too. this is very terrifying to me because an eye is not something you can replace, and ill have to live with the guilt trip for a long time, despite the fact that he was until the incident, a very abusive and raging alcoholic.

  • looks so painful :C i figured if u poked the eye it would pop like a waterballoon >< so what happens to the stitching? the black one and the white thread?

  • eww gross! does this hurt????

  • Last Tuesday I got this done fot the second time in 5t weeks. Didn't feel a thing during the operation, I only have a hurt lower eyelid, because of the clamp.

First time they operated me in the MCA Alkmaar (never again!!!!),. the second time in the AMC Amsterdam.

I have to lay down on my back for a week, and may go up 10 minutes an hour. That's now ;)

It's not sure that it's ok now, because there is a lot of damage in the eye, it's oval instead of round, and a lot of scars because of VPR.

  • Wow, the eye is a lot more durable than I would have ever thought, great video, you guys do a great job, thanks for the time, effort and dedication you put into your profession!!!

  • Doctors, God bless you all. Thank you so much for all you do.

  • i am interested in these kinds of videos because i am a female and i have goldmann favre syndrome and have to undergo eye surgery to prevent a future retinal tear and to stop my disease from progressing. so thank you for posting this helpful video

  • that looks horrid.
