@rodhorn54 The only writers of the song were Clapton and Harrison. Harrison (with some contributions from Ringo Starr) contributed mostly to the lyrics, but also the bridge section with the guitar run through a Leslie (Harrison used this on his Let It Be solo). Jack and Pete Brown (... Robert?) didn't write any of the song.

Oh my God!!! I was there, somewhere in the crowd, toward the cente4r of the stage about 7 or 8 rows back! I lived in Lausanne Switzerland at the time, and spent a few days in Montreaux at the Jazz Festival. When Robert Cray came out for the encore, the crowd went nuts! It was one of the best concerts I ever saw. Phil Collins came out from behind the drum kit to sing "In the Air Tonight", too! Thank you for posting this video. It brings back great memories!!

It's probably because Clapton has been the "standard-bearer of" of blues-based rock guitar all of my life (born in 1967), but I've never thought of his playing as particularly special. Hendrix, however...
it's your opinion, i understand.. but what makes hendrix style of playin special, besides his style that was, as we call it now, 20 years too early.. was it the LSD?
well sleeping pills killed him but clapton and hendrix were two different people.. friends but two different styles in my opinion page was better in music taste but all 3 are gods of the guitar and i am little toasrted so go easy on grammer
Is it just me or does Clapton look better now then he does here. Sure he was still qutie the drinker & all , but father time seems to have been good to him.
@Potguy2 No kidding, I wish time was as good to me....I've seen EC no less than 15 times and he looks and plays better evry time I see him. NEVER seen a bad show, some a little better than others but he always has a smokin' band and last years tour with Doyle Bramhall and Derek Trucks was no exception.
@TNO73 We must keep in mind, this was shot in the 80's. That particular orange shirt would make almost anyone with a fairly pale complexion look like absolute garbage...lol.

YouTube only lets you upload a video up to 10 minutes long each so it wouldnt work. just rip it from the CD onto your computer and edit apart each song and upload it song by song like I did
